I'm packing it in at the end of this season. Seventh season at Arsenal and, although this one has been fun, it's also been immensely frustrating. My front two (Josh Hines, who I brought through as a 17 year old and is now 23, and Bill Charley, a £40m signing last summer) have scored 41 and 45 respectively... And I'm still fourth in the league. Always have some silly results (0-1 at home to bottom of the league for eg) but this season I've also lost home and away to both United and City, and am set to finish below Spurs for the first time since getting promoted after going 2-0 up at White Hart Lane, getting two players sent off and conceding a late penalty to lose 3-2. I've got the best goal difference in the league but have lost too many games and cba to keep going when I've been offered a £6.25m transfer budget... That ain't gonna do it!

I will have the chance to end on a high, though, with a second straight Champions League final. Beat Real 5-3 away and 3-1 at home in the semi (Charley hat trick away, Hines hat trick at home) and we've got Bayern in the final. Won the League Cup 5-1 vs Chelsea (then beat them 8-1 in the league!)

Edit: tbf we've also won the Community Shield, the Euro Supercup and the World Club Championship this season so it really hasn't been that bad.

Managed to get a few wins together and I'm in 11th, about 5points clear of the relegation spots. Just coming into December.

Getting a stupid amount of injuries again though.

Hopefully not jinxing things, I should be able to survive this season. We are 6 points clear with 11 games to go, so it could change but I should get there. Defence has been a problem all season, even though the ratings of my players are good. I tried changing to a back 5 but my attack went awful so I changed back and it's working just about alright so far although we do concede plenty.

May move away from Barnet after this season, finances are getting awful and I'm confused as to why since I hardly spent any transfer fees and I am 10k under wage budget, suppose I'll see next season.

An update on the Maidenhead United career, into January now made it through a hectic Christmas schedule without crazy injury problems thankfully and will definitely be looking at bringing in some quality to bolster the squad trying to stay within the wage budget which has £250 a week left. League is still going well, sat 3rd 2 points off top spot Boreham Wood having clawed back a 10 point deficit on then leaders Bishops Stortford who were running away with it. FA Trophy hit board expectations, made it to the First Round before disappointingly being knocked out by Bath City, shame as the finances of a run would have helped. We continue to lose money, not a lot I can do about this at the minute but an increased average attendance of 450 has helped a bit as well as the cup money, the debt is only expected to be at £40,000 now rather than the £200,000 in August.

Frome Town 1-3 Maidenhead United (FA Trophy 3rd Qualifying Round)
Maidenhead United 1-2 Ebbsfleet United
Bath City 3-0 Maidenhead United (FA Trophy 1st Round)
Farnborough 0-1 Maidenhead United
Maidenhead United 2-2 Hayes & Yeading
Eastbourne Boro 3-6 Maidenhead United
Hayes & Yeading 3-2 Maidenhead United
Maidenhead United 3-2 Bath City
Maidenhead United 3-2 Bishops Stortford

Horrible, horrible way to bow out. 1-0 up in the Champions League final in the 95th minute... and we concede an equaliser. Lost a player to injury after making 3 subs and we lost 2-1 in extra time. Gutting. Never mind. I've resigned. It's over.

Think I'm going to fuck off my Brighton save. Much prefer the lower leagues and having to pay smaller wages and all the other things involved with it.

Can you manage FCUM or do you have to download something?

Think you have to download the extension pack.

Fucking hate this game. Stripped Ipswich down to the bare bones and used the editor the place us in league two.

Season 1: League Two Winners
Season 2: League One Winners
Season 3: Championship 5th - Playoffs

3-3 draw with Leeds at home. Then Lost 3-2 away AET..was 2-1 up in normal time at 91 minutes....

6-5 :(

Fast forward to the end of next season. Quarter finalists of the FA cup, but more importantly 6th after 44 on 69 points, clear by 2 points of 7th/8th (West Brom & Brum hot on my tails). My main striker is out injured and we haven't scored in 3! (My front two have 48 between them this season).

Home form has been autos, away form lower mid table.

Even if I win both of my final 2 games I will have finished on less than the 76 points I acquired for 5th last season.

Tense times.

Made the playoffs with a game to spare, semi-final heartbreak again though as we crash out on penalties against Bournmouth. Came back from 2 goals down in the second half of the 2nd leg away from home, too. :(

Having said that, if it's relatively straight forward then I might.

Where do I find these and get them to work? Anyone else used them?

I haven't used them on this year's save, but I did on last year's and it was fairly straight forward from what I can remember.

Unfortunately I can't recall where I got it from or how I did it. I think I probably just googled it.

So to summarise: this post was fucking useless.

Happy to help [or not].

Do Chorley instead. Up the Magpies.

I didn't win the FA Cup or Community Shield with Man Utd, so moved on. Not sure I will ever get a better chance but I wanted a new challenge and having completed the British Steel once I don't have the same motivation to see it through to the bitter end again. Went to Livingston and then Rangers to win the Scottish L1, Championship and Challenge Cup. Currently at Everton trying to win the Championship in England. On 14/35 trophies.

Did you manage to do it? Never gone lower than North/South personally but FCUM would be an interesting save.
Nope, not had chance to yet. No even looked for the expansion pack to be fair! Presumably they'll be in the SI forum?

Yeah, FCUM will be an interesting save. Looking forward to starting when I get round to sorting it.

Started a game with Plymouth and got 3rd (quite comfortably in the end, after winning 4-0 on opening day I never dropped out of the top 3. Us, Shrewsbury and Portsmouth just dominated the division) in the 1st season. Reuben Reid broke the record for most goals in a season by a Plymouth player with 35 and also won League 2 player of the year. Alessandra and Banton were also very good alongside a few loanees like Ceballos and Coulibaly. The two downsides were my defensive record and my disciplinary record - I picked up the most yellows and reds in the league by a mile and conceded a lot despite a good back 4 on paper of Mellor, Nelson, Hartley & Hause. I suspect this was down to my high-tempo, high-pressing game though so I may relax that a little in League 1.

I've had a stonking summer transfer-wise thus far, securing good young players like Chris Long, Alfie Mawson and Jack Thomas on free transfers, Marlon Pack and Connor Townsend and a couple of good loanees too like Cameron Stewart from Ipswich and Teixera (CB) from Stoke. Yet to touch my £400k transfer kitty so far but really need some attacking depth as the injuries on this game are a fucking ball-ache.

Fire me to the Championship Reuben.

Does anyone know why this is happening? I've gone on the scouting page and no players are showing up at all, never had this before.

New game with Bradford. Really poor first season. Jon Stead got 20 goals though, so the game must be broken.

Steered clear of relegation by 10 points in the end, so not an awful season by any means.

This season I'm looking to go for the PO's, made quite a few transfers including a couple attacking loans and now team looks pretty good.

Guess so. Hopefully I can get it to work, I'm sure it's out there.

Best part of that is that story is that they played their home games in the Olympiastadion and the attendance for their first game was 81,000. For their final game, 1,500 showed up.

Shit, the only patch I could find goes down to Level 5, not 6! Maybe I'll holiday a year at a time until they get promoted...
