as mm said, Eintracht, Mainz and Darmstadt in the Bundesliga, FSV in the second and Wehen Wiesbaden in the third.

also a visit worth is former Bundesliga club Offenbacher FC Kickers ( they regulary playing in front of 10,000 fans at home in the german lower leagues) and Hessen Kassel, the club which will be always remembered for missing promotion to the Bundesliga with being 9 points ahead with 3 games to go.

btw: where you want to study? Marburg?

Cheers boss, I'll have a trip out to all those then.

Yeah I'll be in Marburg. Looks a fairly nice small town, have you been? Although no football team seemingly.

But also on topic, mentioned it above, how do people think Ancelotti will do at Bayern? And do you think Guardiola will try to snatch anyone from the squad? (Similar to Thiago to Bayern)

Guardiola will move heaven and earth to get Thiago at City.

I will have a look, thanks.

Final question, for anyone, average beer price in German grounds? Rip off like in England or not too bad?

Again, only know from Dortmund but you can get 2 pints and a bratwurst for 10€, which is decent.

So Tuchel has made 8 changes for the Derby ahead of Anfield next week.

Admitting defeat that they won't catch Bayern?

But I thought they had one eye on the Schalke game so they weren't good against us :D

I think Tuchel would have gotten a heavy amount of stick had he lost the derby but I reckon everyone understands that the EL is more important at this moment in time. They were never going to beat Bayern to top spot (it's already admirable that they have been able to push them that far especially considering the poor season they had in 14/15) and 2nd is already in the bag. Reckon Tuchel really wants the EL to keep the fans happy until CL football next season.

a defeat yesterday would have mean they are relegated but they could still today.

btw: Hannover is being still the last club who was able to knock out Sevilla out of the Europa League. they won their tie in the 11/12 playoffs 2:1,1:1 ( Sevilla missed to qualify for Europe for 12/13)

For 16th but for 17th I reckon Eintracht have it pretty much in the bag: they're going down. One win in 12 and I can't see them winning any of their remaining games.

For 16th though, fascinating stuff. Hoffenheim have finally deserted this spot after being down there for most of the season. They have just beaten Hertha Berlin (who, despite staying in the CL places since August have a poor away record: yesterday's was their 8th away loss) and are now 13th.
Lots of vital wins yesterday really. Bremen and Augsburg also earned much needed wins and Stuttgart were the unlucky ones to lose (at Augsburg). Bremen are currently in the relegation play-off spot but I reckon Stuttgart will finish participating in the encounter against Nurnberg (and will probably win).

In the Buli Zwei, Freiburg can almost guarantee a straight return to the Bundesliga if they win at Braunschweig tomorrow night. If they do, they'll be 9 points clear of Nurnberg with 4 games to go. Leipzig surprisingly lost at home to Sandhausen this weekend but then so did Nurnberg (at Karlsruhe).
The bottom will be heavily contested. Sechzig are doing their best to get relegated to the 3rd tier: after 3 straight wins in March, they picked up just one point from their last 5 games. The defeat this weekend was against bottom of the table Duisburg. Both sides are however only 3 points from safety. Paderborn, Düsseldorf and FSV Frankfurt are also down there.

Like MC stated above, Dresden are back in the Zwei. Aue are in their way as well.

Back to back relegations on the cards for Paderborn, then?

Glad to see Freiburg looking like they return - I hope Leipzig stay down but I don't see it happening. Has Davie Selke done well for them?

It's looking certain that Hummels will be signing for Bayern in the Summer. A two horse race in which one coffee the clubs is a feeder to the other.

tbf Hummels made his debut in the top flight at his time in munich and later then joined Dortmund

I know, but he's a Dortmund legend. Pretty scummy. A bit damning for the league.

to have an superior club in the league is not that bad. it will help the other teams to grow. remember as you had it in United in your league and how competitive the english clubs were in europe.

So Dortmund postponed Bayern's title. It will be hard to pass from next round but the match is against M'gladbach so maybe not that easy. Though Bayern getting it will make their hegemony even bigger being the first german team to reach four national titles in a row.

The real thing is who'll get places at Champions League. Good fight among Leverkusen, Hertha, M'gladbach, Mainz and Schalke. Though with Leverkusen's victory against Schalke, Leverkusen's classification is really close and hardly they'll slip in every restant round, while for Schalke got way more complicated. The fourth place is more open despite Hertha with a little advantage but a slip can turn everything and with the other three with the same amount of points the dispute can be interesting.

Schalke choked a 2-0 lead didn't they?

A win for Frankfurt against Mainz now would certainly make the bottom extremely interesting...
