Very odd from Bury. Signed for a decent wage on a three year deal just a few weeks ago, and now not required.

Either there has been a huge bust up behind the scenes (not unheard of) or someone is telling Clarke to cut the wage bill. However, based on the lacklustre performances of Beckford & Bunn on Saturday at Dale, I'd be far far more worried about the money they are on.

Marvin Johnson is having a medical at Middlesbrough. Suggested the fee is £2.5m with add ons which will be a good profit for 1 year. Motherwell have a 10% sell on (assuming on our profit).

Great player. Just coming in to his 'good years' to. Was upset to lose him def captain potential. He flourished next to Anton Ferdinand who a few thought was making Thompson look good. Looking at how we've started at the back looks to be the other way around. Imagine there is much more chance of him settling and playing well at Bradford rather than the circus that is Bury

We've also sold John Lundstram for £500k+ (1 year left on contract), Callum O'Dowda for £1.6m and got £150k for Liam Sercombe when he wanted to leave and the manager wouldn't play him after trouble in the dressing room.

Pleased with this signing. Defensively we've been incredibly poor this season, which was always going to happen IMO. Hopefully this will tighten us up at the back.

We're scoring goals for fun so far, so this signing could be a season-defining signing.
