McKeown cost us a lot of goals at the start of the season IMO, Henderson has been unbelievable since he got here. So much so I'd have £20 on him having an England cap at some point, fantastic news that he's back.

He did, but look at the first 7 games and then look at the second 7 games and see the difference in goals conceded and clean sheets. Macca was in goal for all 14 games, a certain defender came in sorted the defence out.

Im also not denying Henderson is a great keeper with lots of potential just saying why I can see it took so long for him to get a game

Nice to see were actually trying to buy decent players rather than rely on free transfers and youth loans.

Henderson has been quality, but I do feel sorry for McKeown. Especially with the level of enthusiasm everyone is showering Henderson with.
I wonder if there might be a cheeky bid from Shrewsbury in the next few days for Macca?

It does seem as though Shaun Brisley's been struck by our curse of the number 15... though possibly through no fault of his own... did score a beautiful goal.

So have Barnet actually bought any good players with their vast new riches?

Akinola is a real handful creating chances, Coulson has played 15 for us only but Santos is a monster at the back so he will be obvious when watching to his quality.

Jack Taylor young lad in the middle is really good so keep tabs on him

We've signed Kyle Wootton on loan from Scunthorpe.

Big lad who plays up front, brought in as competition for Danny Wright.
Not sure about that one.

Didn't do it at Lincoln on loan last season and didn't do it at North Ferriby this season either. I'd question whether he'd be a good signing at Conference level, never mind L2.

Wouldn't surprise me but I doubt Bignot would be stupid enough to let Macca go. If Hendo got injured or something, we'd be screwed as we can't rely on Warrington.

Yeah I don't expect Bignot would let him go but Hurst will probably have noticed that he is not playing and be tempted to test the water on it.

We've shipped another one out, this time Mark Ellis to Forest Green for the rest of the season.

I think that leaves us with 18 senior players, with 2 of those out injured.

Club has announced we have signed Antoni Sarcevic, technically a free agent having left Shrewsbury by mutual consent before Xmas. Shrews forum suggests he is unfit, but looks like a goal scoring and assisting midfielder in the vein of Carey. I don't think I saw Fleetwood play us in League 2 (or if I did the brain cells have been wiped out), has anyone seen him play?

He tore us apart in a 5-4 win for Fleetwood once. Not sure if he scored 2/3 but he sent James Jennings for a bag of chips and then 2nd's and 3rd's and Jennings was only on the pitch for 20 minutes.

Hmm, him and Carey sounds like a potentially interesting pairing. However, a northern lad coming down to the tropical south will either be re-invigorated (ala Carey, Jervis etc) or not settle and not make the grade with us. Adams does seem to have the ability to get the best out of some that seem to have hit the sidings such as Jervis, Slew and Bradley.

Bit more unbudgeted income for us. Our ex-Captain Conor Hourihane has gone from Barnsley to Villa, and we have a sell-on clause.

Josh Lelan signs for Crawley.

Played 13 times for Northampton last season but most importantly he is a right back. We actually have a right back!

It seems he played against us in both games but I can't remember him. I'll wait to see him but although Ashley Young has been doing well because we've had no back up he could do with a break.

BBC is saying Nolan hopes to sign free agent Carlton Cole when the embargo is lifted :eyes: Does this sound feasible/welcome County fans?

I think Nolan is getting mixed up, this is the Carlton who has said he will sign for County:

I hope we sign this seasons top league two goalscorer David goodwillie. Plymouth must be mad letting go the prolific striker.

Well if that's true then we'll have to reinvest at least some of the money in an adequate replacement if we are to stand any chance of being top 7 in May

Someone on our forum reckons Michael Collins will sign for Notts County when his deal with us expires after Saturdays game - Not sure how true it is though.

Whoever agreed to allow such a piddling release clause wants shooting with shit.

I thought you were signing Matt Green

How many focking times do I have to say this, we are NOT interested in Green.

That deal nearly happened in the summer, but it broke down in the last few seconds before the deadline. Green's agent got in touch with the club in December to try to get the move back on this month but they were told to F off as we have moved on.

In the summer we were off the back of a mid table league finish, now we are in the promotion mix. Our priorities and targets have changed.
