I think MK will win the play offs. Good form at the minute, and i think they're the best of the bunch in the play offs (assuming preston beat colchester obviously)

Would be deserved too, if they beat yeovil and Preston beat Colchester... MK would be in 3rd on 91 points  Which i think is a record of highest points without getting auto...

I read somewhere that if we or Preston fail to go up with 90+ points then it will be the third time it's happened at this level. Of the other two times, one of them was us, under Di Matteo! :ffs:

Ha, that's serious bad luck... It would be a travesty if you don't win the play offs after how many points you've got this season, but you just know it will be 5th or 6th that go up!

Well i don't think many Blades fans are expecting us to win the playoffs as we never do but then that thought comes into mind that maybe we will do it when not expected too.

If we play like we did in the cups this season then course we can win them but it just depends which Blades team turns up.

MK Dons or Preston will be favorites but maybe either side performance could drop due to disappointment of missing out on automatic and be more burnt out because of it when other sides in playoffs have been pretty much cruising to end of season.

Will get my ticket this morning, bring on the playoffs and hopefully this time it will be a good one for us !

Haha, like England fans ahead of the last couple of major tournaments. "We won't win it, we're crap, but shush, we could actually win it you know". I do think if each team can perform to their maximum, Sheff Utd are the worst in the PO mix.

Whoever doesn't get the last automatic spot out of Preston and MK will win it for me.

I'm coming to the conclusion that Sheff U will win these. They know how to win cup ties, and are good at soaking up pressure and hitting teams on the break.

The other three are easier on the eye, but pragmatism often wins out.

However if Preston end up third they are also fairly solid...

Think if we're gonna get to the final in this, it'll be similar to when we reached the JPT final the first time.
Important win at home. Then backs to the wall performance away, Tommy Lee having the game of his life, and us getting one in the final minutes.
Of course, now I've pointed this out, we'll probably lose 3-0 at home in the first leg to MK/Preston/Swindon.

Sit back and enjoy the ride! None of us have a clue what's going to happen, so in the absence of any informed guidance, I choose to believe we'll do it.

Prices for our home leg £15 Town End, £19 Side Stands. Very reasonable.

They need to chill out. Plastic melts when it gets too hot.

Not to mention we took 3 points off Preston to MK's 1.

So its Blades Vs Swindon and Chesterfield Vs PNE.

Who'd have thought it? Probably not MKDons fans...or really Preston fans.

Will Preston be able to pick themselves up against this seasons dark horses or will their abominable PO form continue?

Ourselves Vs Swindon is a battle of the out-of-formers. Tbf we've never really gotten into form this season unlike Swindon and as with PNE we have an awful PO record.

All set for a Blades Vs PNE play-off final with it going down to penalties and goalkeepers following a boring 0-0 AET...just like the last time two awful PO teams met in the final :(

Don't think it's a great tie for us stylistically, can see Blades going a goal up and then shutting up shop for the home game at least, which we tend to struggle with.

We'll try and shut up shop in both games. Whether we're winning or loosing

Well it's been around 6 hours since the play off fixtures were confirmed and already my 'meh' attitude has made way for blind optimism and belief we can do this.

Let the pain commence.

Swindon will win the play offs, you watch. Why? Because look what has happened these last 2 days. Southend bottle promotion and Bury go up. Preston bottle promotion and MK Dons go up. Swindon and Plymouth will win their respective play off series I reckon.

Here's hoping.

We have no excuse for not being well prepped and full of energy. Cooper will be lambasted if we don't perform.

Seen us lose three times in the play-offs already and I'm only 22. Fourth time lucky?

Preston losing to a team 20 points behind them after losing one in 19 would be ridiculous, in these exceptional circumstances they should really get a bye to the final.
