Anyone got any suggestions as to which of the two I should watch tonight?

Chose the Preston game in the end..

It's been good - but disappointing that Preston have sat off ever since they scored, which was very early on.

Rather them be on for the same time in the first leg, rather than the second.

They're different days as well (Sunday and Monday) - much to look forward too!

Not one of the 4 teams fans seem up for these. Absolutely piss poor away followings for all 4 of us and only swindon who have nearly sold out the home game of which i highly doubt they would of done had they not won on thursday.

At least us two have good reason for our apathy, that said, I think our crowd will be around the same as twhat we got on against Rotherham last season.

Wev'e only sold 1600 for swindon it's gonna look fucking awful on tv behind the goal. I can't see us winning at swindon tbh so think were definitely here another year and i can't see you losing at home to chesterfield so all depends on wether you can do it at wembley. And im sure you can guess wether i reckon you would win at wembley :bl:. I might go down with the pne lads for the weekend if you get there and we don't il probably still be sat in the fucking losing end though

I've no doubt that we would crumble to another limp-dicked defeat if we got to Wembley.

I don't think there are any trains back to Preston afterwards either, probably best if Chesterfield put us out of our misery tomorrow.

Theres none back to sheffield either have to go to donny then get a cab home. Nah you may as well have a trip to wembley. You"ll probably win 3 nil tommorrow all have hope again then lose to swindon on pens after a 0-0 draw.

Can't really blame the fans when all games are on Sky. Even M'Boro only took to Brentford what we took to Bramall Lane.

Of course, those not involved in the POs like to spout tinpot and how they would have taken legions.

Monday's game is set up to be a cracker, though. We've got a couple of hundred tickets left - most single seats.

I'd just be happy to see a goal this time round, we scored 2 at the old Wembley against Wycombe (who scored 4) but I was about 6 and I remember fuck all.

Don't even think we tested the keeper in either game at the Millennium.

Boro took 1452 which was a sell out i think. Youve given us all that end behind the goal weve only sold 600 of them you should of kept half for yourselves.

I know how you feel weve had 4 of them with no goal scored.

Still, 1600 is pretty good.

Would you prefer these games not to be on Sky, thereby almost forcing fans to attend.

The TV scheduling does nobody any favours either

I accept that people can't attend due to late notice, money, time of work and other valid reasons. I wasn't at the home leg i was on holiday But anyone who doesn't go just cos its on sky can fucking bollox if thats there only excuse they should be there would you not agree. There was 4000 of us at spurs at short notice on sky so they turned out for that.

Still think Swindon vs Sheff Utd is in the balance, the Blades have a good record against the better teams, there've been plenty of instances of teams who've got to the final after going a goal down (or even two) in the home leg, and the prospect of being stuck down here for a fifth successive season (pretty bad for a club their size) might just spur them on to do the job on Monday evening.

Preston will likely wrap it up in their second leg, then it'll be a case of which side shows the least nerves at Wembley, which could still be a fair few if the teams' records in the play-offs are anything go by. Personally I'd prefer a Preston vs Swindon final, but I wouldn't mind any of those three going up.

Looks like we have sectioned off half of Stratton Bank for our own fans and most of those have also been sold.

Pleasantly surprised so many have bothered to shift their arses!

Townend sold out and about 150 home seats dotted across the 2 side stands which will all go before Monday, it is going to be rocking. How many tickets have been sold at the Sheffield end ?

Think Preston - Swindon would be a fitting final. Seems only right that the two of the best four sides in the league that didn't end up getting automatic promotion meet each other in the final. It's going to be funny when Swindon are the only one of the four to miss out. :)

To be fair, Preston don't seem to have too much of a problem getting to play-off finals (today was their 5th in 10 attempts), it's the final hurdle of winning them that so far has eluded them (same goes to Sheff Utd).

This time it surely should be different, though. In none of their previous play-off failures were they the best team in the play-offs, whereas this time they are, and comfortably. Not discounting the quality of either Swindon or Sheff Utd (who have both beaten Preston), but they couldn't have a better opportunity to finally break their "hoodoo".
