Up in Norfolk for Christmas, Cambridge game off, ummed and aahed with my conscience about paying the rip off prices at KL but gave in at 1pm due to the alternative of sitting with the family for another 4 hours this afternoon.....hour later getting parked up with the weather no worse than it had been since about 7am and find out it's off, certainly looks like it should have been called off a hell of a lot earlier.....a reminder to make sure we never end up back in this hellhole.

No doubt getting the money back will be a long and tortuous process with that fuckwit overseeing things too.

Just back from a completely pointless five hour round trip.
that pitch was either playable at 10am or not because the rain wasn't that bad driving down .
How a professional club can have no groundsmam on a match day is beyond me. Tinpot.

Dover trying to get the game called off insisting on a pitch inspection, probably try and pull out of the season next but they have form. Dire match but can only beat whats in front of you.

Whilst I appreciate that the Notts fans will be (rightly) upset about the late call off there is only one man to blame today and that is the ref. I went into the ground (around 2.10) and the pitch looked perfectly playable and the other Lynn fans in the ground were equally surprised at the call off. There had been an earlier inspection but seemed the ref was keen to get home early, if this is now the standard then we will struggle to get our home games in this season. it was wet but nowhere near unplayable and many games played in previous years in much worse conditions which just adds to the frustration felt by all (home and away) today.

I've seen a picture from the main stand with some standing water on the pitch but I'm inclined to agree that it should have been played, it certainly wasn't a danger to players.
As a comparison, the public park outside the ground had grass that was perfectly playable as I walked over it as a comparison.
How can it be that the local park is in better nick than the pitch.

I can only apologise for anything said from our fans, although where I was stood (middle of popside), I didn’t hear anything that seems to be hinted at here and overall the atmosphere was cracking from where I was stood.

Every team has their pool of idiots, hopefully if anything was said that they get the punishment they deserve.
