The willy waving on here gets better each week. One from Chesterfield, Stockport or Wrexham will win the league. I'd say that's almost a certainty. But that still means at least one side has spent an absolute shitload on achieving fuck all, which will be hilarious. Even more so if it is two of them. It's like somebody has fed FGR after midnight and it spawned three clones. Except they only had two fans to come on and boast.

Are you seriously comparing the four sides mentioned? Three are proper football clubs with rich histories and thousands of genuine fans.

The other is Forest Green.

If any fans have been getting ideas above their station lately it's these Halifax ones.

Yeah they seem to be very precious if anybody doesn’t mention them in any promotion talk,

Going back to chesterfield vs Halifax game, what a tussle it was between your left wing back (miller?) and our right back Ty Warren. Miller was/is a very good player and a focal point of your attack, but what a game Warren has for us. Was a brilliant battle.
Also players like Gunning and those of similar ilk must hate playing against Waters, he never stops running for 90mins up front on his own.

Warren was great. Didn't get forward much but that was obviously on instruction to keep Miller quiet. Miller got by him a couple of times but for the most part Warren got the better of him, I'd probably have given Warren MOTM. It's a shame your old pal King didn't play for us today as we ended up with no attacking threat down our right until subs halfway through the second half because Williams is a CB doing a job at RWB.

Behave, I don't see any of our lot boasting like the rest

Having said that, you are all just background characters in our impending glorious story. But we're just not going on about it.

Bored of getting told we'll fall away by fans of clubs below us in the table half way through the season perhaps?

Can you point to anybody doing that?

The only posters doing that are Halifax fans it seems.

See the majority of Wrexham fans. Chief to name one off the top of my head. Most of them have made a point of saying it at one point or another.

I get it's their opinion but it feels a little disrespectful at times.

We will see at the end of the season won't we. No point getting angry about it in December.

You moan, but little do you know that Pete Wild is sticking my posts on the dressing room wall before every game and that is why you are as high up as you are.

I've said it, but only because Halifax have done that a number of times in prior seasons, and also because its tough to stay the pace on smaller resources than the teams around you. And you'll find it's Wrexham fans saying it because WEVE DONE IT MULTIPLE TIMES. It's not willy waving about the relative sizes of our clubs, it's the voice of experience.

Sounds like Notts vs Wrexham could be off - having not been able to play while we didn’t have a Covid outbreak, we now do have one. Burchnall’s approach here is admirable, but not sure it’s the right one tbh. Playing a very weak side against Maidenhead last season when we had a big outbreak really cost us and took a while to recover from.

Like Barrow and Sutton found it tough to keep pace on smaller resources. I hope two money clubs go up this season preferably Stockport and Wrexham just get it done with.

Barrow had gone to be fair, if that season finished then Harrogate or Notts would’ve won the league.

Health of the players is the priority. However no surprise this with your best player suspended.
If it is called off we don't play in the league until January 22nd so will give us a nice mid season break and we can also settle our new signings into our squad

He’s been suspended for about a month to be fair haha, although our next game is Dover so that side of it wouldn’t exactly be a disaster for us…

Out of interest how many players do you have in your squad?

21/22ish, although that includes Lewis Knight who is long-term injured, Aaron Nemane who I think is still injured, Michael Doyle who is assistant manager and hasn’t played all season, and two youngsters who’ve never made a league appearance so don’t count towards the numbers, and I think might be out on loan anyway. Add Ruben’s suspension and it doesn’t take much of an outbreak for us to be unable to field any kind of reasonable team.

Though I would love us to go up this season it wouldn't be the end of the world.
We have several players on long contracts and likely more to come in January.
We can offload the inherited deadwood in the summer and get better in.
We would likely be stronger next season whichever league we are in.

NL regulations state clubsmust have fewer than 13 players available ( at least 1 goalkeeper) before than can ask league for postponement. But we shall see

Aye, but you’re only looking at three or four having it at our end before we’re below that. Apparently Burchnall pretty much said that it’s going to be off in the full press conference which we did put on Youtube but have now deleted.

I have expected it to be off before this was announced. We will play you later in the season when we will be much stronger so not too worried and as I said previously we will have a nice break (apart from trophy match?

You didn't rate us, who beat you, compared to Stockport who you beat 3-0? I get it with Chesterfield a bit, but come on.
In fairness to us, that capitulation was under Rusk. Really think we are on a charge at the moment it's just a pity that we are having to play catch up behind some very good teams.

I was looking forward to this one, but the circumstances surrounding this inevitable postponement make sense.

That being said, you will never be forgiven for What You Did.

Aye sounds like it would kind of suit both parties really, especially if it’s late enough that vaccine passports are scrapped as well and this ticket issue is gone. Annoying though, like a bit of festive football and we’ve had absolutely nowt. By the time we play Dover it’ll be a month since our last league game.

I suppose he’s got to go through the motions of wanting to get the game on. I don’t know about him, but I don’t really fancy playing one of our big rivals after playing one game in a month, and then there’s the Ruben issue.

Bring on Dover.
