can not believe FGR money to burn and looks like blown it,for me the biggest mistake they did wasn't keeping Parkin,he has been unbelievable for us and hopefully keep us up.
Also must admit underestimate this league some good teams in.
Definitely got my prediction on Lincoln wrong but posted plenty on here that Cooper isn't the manager FGR fans thought he was.wonder what they think of him?never his fault always players.
I also believe Tranmere fans must be kicking themselves, could you believe where you could be if you sacked that idiot a couple of weeks earlier.

If win Tuesday will sleep better, still going to be close.
Braintree away was McNamara last game in charge, yesterday we had only player left from that day.Mills has done a brilliant job just wish we got him a couple of weeks earlier a bit like you.

Tranmere with so many home games to come look odds-on favourites to end season as Champions.
Play-off final probably Lincoln v FGR.

In terms of spends York have probably spent as much as FGR this season if not more, surely?

Our budget is about £1.3million. Which is a top half budget I believe
We operate on £1.1m in this league and would be well within FFP, add on the 700k football league payments alone and there's our playoff challenging budget, nevermind gate and sponsorship revenue increase.

Alas task at hand first!

Palios told the supporters club that had we gone up last season, our wage budget would have been £1.7 million in League Two.

If we do go up, I think the club will go from strength to strength, but getting out of this league is the really hard part.

Agree with both the above posts that our prospects are good IF we make L2. Getting there is going to be the challenge as I don't fancy our chances in the play-offs.

Don't think it would be more than FGR but bloody high expecially paying McNamara flops off.
Anyway thanks for Bencherif and Newton,2 quality players, you got anymore.would take Russ Penn back and he lives near me.

That's the dream. I'd dispute that we're favourites, though - Lincoln are definitely on the front foot. I'm just glad we're still in the race!

Interesting mini cluster of games now.

Lincoln with Dagenham who still need to secure a playoff spot and Eastleigh all playing for contracts.

We have two "easier" games but this league shows time after time anything can happen.

Lincoln will comfortably beat Eastleigh. They have their flip flops on already. Truly awful team and many arguments between management & squad. All kicked off in their dressing room on Saturday. Which daggers side will turn up tonight?

Interesting that the last two games of Maidstone's season are against the current top 2. With their recent form, they could easily prove a stumbling block for either of those sides!

The conference is now returning to form

The ex league teams going back up. Traditional non league sides like Newport coming down and bank rolled village clubs going nowhere
Newport are a traditional football league side.

Had a little go at predicting the remaining fixtures and came up with this.
Shouldn't think it'll be too far off. The winner of Tranmere/Aldershot to win the play offs.

I've ended up with this:

With a final between Tranmere and Aldershot.

Our goal diff might well be the clincher
hate to see us taking the ball in the corner at 2-0 on saturday. told we did it too at guiseley - we might need those extra goals

I fancy that we've got one final hammering to hand out. Preferably against Aldershot but more likely Southport/Torquay at home.

Already twitchy about Saturday though.

I think so. I honestly don't recall exactly where I thought you'd drop points, but they sound familiar.
It'd be peak Dover this season if we beat aldershot but lose to Torquay and southport

Aldershot and Dover hijacking a title thread, outrageous arrogance.

I don't think this race will be over till the final whistle of game 46. Even if one team leads going into those games, who knows in this league..

This reminds me of the season we missed out in the old division 3, Bristol city and Bristol rovers kept winning and motivating the others to win. We won 9 on the spin that year yet still could not cut into the lead. It seems Lincoln and tranmere are firing each other up in the same way

You need to swap Chester and Wrexham around on that. Both 56 points but Chester +9 Wrexham -8.

No. Mills mostly signed shite last summer. Bencherif is ok but prone to absolute howlers. Newton is good when he can be bothered but that doesn't seem to be for very long if his record for us and Lincoln is anything to go by. About 12 months then he just checks out.

I think if we can clear Saturday's hurdle at Eastleigh, we've got a massive chance to take a decisive lead - our games are an out-of-form Chester and relegation threatened Torquay, whereas Tranmere's are FGR and Aldershot.

They can't keep scoring in stoppage time to rescue themselves, those two games will severely test them.
