Bit feisty in here isn’t it.

Anyway, I don’t know what to expect from Keith Millen tomorrow. The owners say they want to go in a new direction, so it’s anyone’s guess. Perhaps they have their ideas on team selection, I do not know.

But I do think if we win that will be the end of Mr Alexander at MK, just to shit up the who’s going to be the manager of who just a little bit more. And then the Hollywood Red’s owners might be upset that they’re not centre of attention and boot their boss too.

Who knows.

90% of your fans support Liverpool or Everton as their first team.
Ok I'll bite.

Doubt that's true, quite often a we hate Scousers chant by opposing fans will get a chorus of so do we from the SWA. Not me, my Dad was Scouse and some of our best players have been too.

While I don't know about these days, historically NE Wales has been a hotbed of Liverpool and Man Utd support.

Tranmere away for us and I think it's safe to say enthusiasm is pretty low in both camps. Our record is dreadful at their place but we've slain a few of these types of monkeys on our back over recent seasons. We're capable of playing well and badly and winning and losing in both scenarios so fuck knows what's gonna happen. Reports are that Tranmere have been pretty pish and deserve their position. I think our performances overall have probably been a bit better than where we find ourselves but we've played more decent teams than we have poor ones so I'm hoping it's true that they're crap and that we can take something off them. Would like to see Wilson start for the first time this season. 0-2 Town.
Firstly we're good at ending opponent's bad runs, so given Grimsby's record on the road is so poor this season, it wouldn't be a total surprise if you came away with all 3 points. It would be more of a surprise, if you kept a clean sheet, as since Adkins took the helm we tend to keep going and pose more of an attacking threat, despite one of our main strikers being injured and the other (Dennis) rarely getting time off the bench.

Pre-season, none of the pundits predicted we'd struggle and the squad was thought to be fairly decent for L2.
Are we in a false position, I'd say not. Though arguably deserved to take something from games at Milton Keynes and Crawley. However, there's a clear structure to how we play now and the players have some certainty about what they're doing. I would expect Rovers to gradually edge away from the bottom two places. While all results feel possible, my inclination is a score draw would be the most likely outcome in this game.

annoyingly this is the only home league match before the end of December that I have to miss for work. It's potentially the biggest and best match in that time - so i'm either going to miss a classic or a 0-0 draw.
I think a couple of changes will be made with either Stephenson or Feely coming in for Tyrell Warren at left back and also Ben Whitfield starting his 1st full match of the season on the left wing.

It looks like the weather is going to be kind to the Notts fans - there is only a chance of rain (not a certainty) and the wind is only expected to get up to about 33km/h not the 50+ we are used to up here....

I hope we are unchanged for our long trip to Cumbria but suspect there will be one change from the boss.

With the 100% home record to date would be happy with a point in this one to hopefully maintain top spot after a continued favourable start to the season.

I'd be surprised at a 0-0. It feels like we need to score three to win and that looks a big ask. I'm expecting Barrow to be feisty, a reflection of Pete Wild who managed to upset the most mild mannered of coaches in Ian Burchnall when he was at Halifax.
I'd take point after conceding 5 at Colchester.

90% was overstating it, I would imagine in Birkenhead particularly most people just support Rovers. But I personally know quite a few from elsewhere on the Wirral who are Liverpool or Everton fans but go to PP when they aren't playing. But tbh that Reremtart guy can get f***ed so I'm not bothered about accuracy. Pretty much every post of his is slagging us off. At least Robshep clearly has had a brain injury, not sure what Bagheads problem is.

North Wales is full of Liverpool, Everton, United and more recently Man City fans. One of the good things the success money has brought is doing is making it more common for people to come to our games instead of staying in watching these clubs on TV. And in particular kids growing up not apologising for being Wrexham fans. That can only be a good thing.

There are a lot of tunnel rats; Wirral based, but travelling under the Mersey to watch their Scouse team and never venturing to Prenton Park. While there are probably some regular attenders whose main team is Liverpool or Everton, I’ve not met any. One lad I was at school with used to call himself an Everton fan but these days classes himself as SWA and while he still has a soft spot for the Toffees, hasn’t been to watch them for years.

I agree with the sentiments in your second paragraph.

No idea what to expect today, but feeling more enthusiastic for the season ahead after being so despondent on Tuesday night.

We’re a decent away day and generous hosts so I think the Swindon fans are going to be in for a good away day. Think we’ll lose by the odd goal, as above if it’s anything like the last couple of years a soft penalty to settle it. The one last year was criminal.

Standard Parky defensive tinkering. Tozer out and O'Connell in.

It's about time Tozer was dropped and phased out of the side but it doesn't make sense to do it after getting a clean sheet away in midweek.

Game 12 and we're finally seeing Danny Rose and Donovan Wilson up top together. We're definitely gonna draw a blank.

Feels like quite a brave team selection from Adkins going for the more attacking options both in midfield Morris replacing Walker and up front Kristian Dennis replacing Jolley. Will be interesting to see how things pan out. Looks like a disappointing home turnout.

"Due to EFL regulations, the game will kick off an hour after the arrival of the away team. The new kick off time is 3:02pm."

Going to be a late one tonight.
