Thought we were the better side today overall but both sides had spells in which they could have won it so a draw was probably a fair result. Decent end to end match and the Tranmere fans were in good voice. A couple of moments of real quality in it to mention, namely another clever finish from Danny Rose and Saunders' superb cross for Jennings to equalise. Absolutely vital block from Davies right at the death too. Thought both teams looked a bit shaky at the back but Tranmere were a bit better than some on here have let on.

Conteh and Andrews, considering they're 20 and 21 and hadn't played together until a few weeks ago look incredibly assured as a duo in midfield. Saw what Pyke is about too for the first time this season, putting himself about a bit and bullying one of their CBs a few times, great finish for his goal too.

Back that up with a win over Accrington next Saturday and it'll be a decent enough result.

Gutted not to have won that at the end when Whitfield missed an absolute sitter. Wasteful in front of goal again today, otherwise it was a strong performance.

The Entertainers™ were good for the first half an hour but quickly became predictable and couldn’t really get going second half. They seemed weakened by their changes but Old Man Wild got his spot on.

Gassed out at 70 mins and nobody on the bench to change things, this is when you miss the multitude of players that are out

19 shots today, I need a lay down. Both teams could have scored/scored more. Can’t believe a couple of Swindon’s misses but a fantastic save from Lewis for one of them. Much more entertaining game(from both teams) than any of the crap I’ve seen this season. Still need to improve a lot though.

Didn't see the game as I'm currently on holiday with the family in my favourite costal place in Spain, that is yet to be discovered by the Brits.

Received reports from friends at the game and they are happy with what they called a fortunate point after a very not Notts performance this season.

No Bostock, no control of the game.

Nice to keep top spot for another week and before the sell out versus North Notts finest next Saturday.

I'm not sure whether to describe our well-deserved loss (our best player today probably the "7 day emergency loan" keeper with us now for 8 days) as yet another case of "boys v men", or, given the pedestrian nature of much of our play, impending dementia on someone's part leading us to field a team well skilled in walking football, rather than the more active version. With the exception of the late goal from Stevens (and Bunker showing some skill before he was prematurely subbed) that was utterly dispiriting.

Got well and truly done by the officials today. CBR looked to have put us back ahead in the 2nd half certainly didn't look offside but the flag goes up about 20 seconds after we've scored and everyone in the corner celebrating. Salford take a quick free kick and go down the other end and score.

Doesn't look good when the refs from Manchester and social media has been tagged in as watching Salford with what I assume is his nephew in the past. All abit dodgy.

That sounds a bit like Stockport on Tuesday evening, a game where we apparently had one shot...must have passed me by as I can't remember it. It feels like our club is heading down the plug hole at the moment...will be interesting to see if Dale keeps flying the Palestine flag at the next home game, after his buddies launched an attack on Israel today and at last count had killed over 100 people.

Grateful for the point, Grimsby had the better of the game and only a couple of last ditch blocks/tackles and some good work from McGee saw us get anything.
McGee made an absolutely amazing point blank save at 2-1 which kept us in it. Tactically poor from us, with Dennis barely getting a sniff all game as he's incapable of jumping, and our second half game plan involved hoofing it up to him. Jolley offered nothing when he came on, Hawkes had a shocker and when Morris went off we lost all attacking threat from midfield. Grimsby looked very organised, albeit lacking a bit of spark. Great finish from Rose for the opener, although our defending was comical for both goals. Thought 2-2 was probably fair overall, though the fish brigade were the side pushing for the win towards the end, not us.

That’s a very bold statement to make.

Think that just underlines why you're one of my favourite posters on here.

Ahem

Swindon looked a good side but seemingly had an off day in front of goal. We had some really good chances of our own and disappointed we didn't put another one or two past their dodgy keeper. On another day it could have been 4-4. Think Swindon will definitely be in the mix come the end of the season.

Absolutely elated for Bradford lad Bobby Pointon to get his goal. Very scrappy but I'm sure he'll take it. Like Wilsden said, it was nice to actually see some more attacking intent. Thought Smallwood had one of his best games in a City shirt. Halliday excellent as per. Don't think anyone had a poor game.

Looked good for the first 10-15 minutes, during which Austin missed an absolute sitter, then flat as a fart after that. Passes going astray, getting caught in possession and missing the chances that did come our way.

Doesnt say much for Hughes as Bradford certainly put in a shift and were very direct. Deserved 3 points.

I think he is the nephew in that post. Seems to be close friends with Matty Lund as well.

The save from Pyke's was quality yes, I was already celebrating that one! If you were at the match then you'll also want to see his save again from Eisa's shot when he cut in from our left as that was arguably as good.

Whilst we weren’t pretty on the eye at times, we were effective. Something we haven’t been for too long.

Little things like having a fucking shot. Yeah, most of them were wayward, but you’ve got to buy a ticket to win the lotto, right?

We gave Swindon no time on the ball. For god knows how long, we’ve just allowed teams to come at us. Swindon couldn’t cope with the high press.

Smallwood, where has that version of yourself been? Was immense in midfield today. It can’t all be blamed on Hughes, but it does make you wonder whether he’s just kept players in shackles.

Refreshing, nothing more.

Thought we looked tired and couldn't handle Bradford's press. Second half we were so wayward and such is the thin nature of the squad we could only shove on a youth player. No game changers on the bench unfortunately and Charlie is absolutely knackered.

At least the players wanted to win today. A week ago, that would have been a Swindon win at a canter.

Quite weird to sit third in the table while looking for a manager. Still I thought it was a good enough game and we had a great chance to go 3-0 up had Mahoney just squared the ball to a number of players who were unmarked.

We made the last 20 minutes or so hard for ourselves with defensive substitutions and were hanging on a little at the end, but on the balance of play I think we deserved the 3 points.

That tackle to dispossess Kemp and then the fifty-yard run was magical. More of that from him, please.

We were ok today, nothing more. Can't believe some of the guff I'm reading on Twitter but a lot of our lot have pretty low expectations.

Would've been a very different game if Swindon had taken even one of their three guilt edged chances.
Bit harsh. That's our best home display so far and we also missed chances. Both goalies had shots to save, Cook hit the post and a deflection hit the post. Thought we should have had a pen first half and am even more convinced having seen the play back. Gillead and Smallwood were immense but I wish we had their number 10. You think we were only ok but they were the best team to have visited VP so far.

Very frustrating. Salford dominated the ball and territory in the first half but created virtually nothing. We got a deserved goal after a great counter attack and a good header from CBR. But just when it looks like we're going into HT with a warranted lead, we concede another simple goal from a floated cross and free header. Davies to blame for his woeful positioning.

2nd half, more of the same. Zac Williams should score at 1-1. But on 58 minutes, we work it nicely and Holicek squares it to CBR for a tap in. No flag. Players run off celebrating and only after half of them are celebrating into the corner does the flag go up. Then, with half of them out of the game, the ref allows Salford to quickly break and bundle it in with us all out of shape.

We fell to shit after that if we're being honest, just couldn't get the heads back in the game. They ran in 2 really poor goals to concede, the third is a deflected effort and the fourth is just rank bad defending. Got a late consolation from CBR to keep up our streak of scoring 2 or more in games.

Much like the visit to their ground last season, the game hinges on one big moment. And we just never recovered from it. Lots ot be concerned about, we were too passive today and it allowed Salford to pick their passes and build up attacks way too easily. The goalie is getting increasing criticism, which I get. Keep leaking goals, which is a worry, now up to 21.

Got plenty of firepower at the other end, which is pleasing. On another day we win that 2-1. Hopefully they bounce back next week against Tranmere.
