Draw a fair result. Horrific first half for us and a better team than Grimsby would've put three or four past us.

Second half was totally different, helped by Grimsby bizarrely parking the bus but also by the fact that we actually brought on some attackers who could move.

How can you call us negative after that first half? We were defending a lead what's your excuse? One shot on target in the last minute and took a deflection to go in.
We were negative as fuck first half I don’t defend crap like a happy clapper like you, I imagine a lot of your fans will be very frustrated after that second half. Easy excuse to say you’re defending a lead but you offered nothing like us first half, we were obviously there for the taking and a more positive side would have had the 3 points.

It’s hard to judge either side playing in heat like that but it feels like we threw that away in the first 10 mins by allowing Bradford at us. Crowd got up and it felt inevitable, albeit without Bradford really threatening that much.

I haven't defended the second half, we sat back I agree, but we didn't sit back at 0-0 at home unlike you. I'd have taken a point before the game, but it's two points dropped again as I said in a post further up after the game.

That's been our problem the last two seasons, we don't create enough and when we do we don't score. Not signing a goalscorer cost us last season and if we carry on conceding goals against poor sides like today it will cost us again this season.

Bradford are bottom half fare and we’re no more than a mid-table team if that game is anything to go. Bradford are even more toothless than us and felt we deserved the 3 points more considering that was their only shot on target. Also should’ve had a penalty before the equaliser but because Rose goes down too easy on other occasions, a shit ref like that is never going to give it. Tough start is coming to an end soon so will be interested to see where we are come end of October.

Well you took exception to me saying a draw was a fair result, at no point have a defended our approach I’m not really sure the point you’re making.

The second paragraph is exactly what I’m saying that the negative approach you deployed second half will result in dropped points and deservedly so, there’s probably a reason it keeps happening similarly to why it’s happened to us so many times this past 18 months. What I will say is we had a number of players out injured and two of the three who started up front have made 1 start for us between them and we finished with a winger up front. Still doesn’t excuse the first half approach though. Both teams would have lost to a better side let’s just leave it at that.

Our injuries have entered double figures, so we've stuck a second 'keeper on the bench to make up the numbers.

Bradford huff and puff and eventually get a 88th minute goal - meanwhile in Swindon Jake Young takes 5 minutes to score.....
(and yes i didn't see it coming either - he was shit on loan at Barrow)

Maybe go back and read the post! I didn't take exception to the result, I took exception to you calling us negative when you were even more negative!

Anyway we will lose to worse teams before the end of the season and we will beat better as we already have done this season.

Us losing out on play-offs due to no goal scorer is no worse than Mansfield losing out on promotion due to poor medical facilities!

We were more negative first half no doubt, and a draw only papers over the cracks. But you made up for it second half. Let’s just agree both were negative. It’s my opinion both clubs would prosper more with different managers. I have always had a thing against Hurst though since he brought his Shrewsbury team who were top and flying to us when we hadn’t won in like 10 and sat all 11 behind the ball, so yes I’m bias against him. Football is an entertainment business and both managers fail on that.

Hayden off injured once again. Great player but I wouldn't be renewing his contract.

Deserved our point. There can't be too many complaints, especially with most of our attacking talent injured.

Comedy goal following two great saves by the Donnie keeper. We haven't looked great so far but if we finally do start playing properly we should win this comfortably.

Donnie miles better than Tranmere though. Could go either way really.

could be worse - if there had been a decent ref at Stockport v Barrow and Knoyle had been sent off after 20 mins, you could be joint bottom now...

Very good first half performance with DKD overhead kick for the opener.

Even game though think we've invited Crewe on a bit with some unforced slackness in midfield, difference so far is we stuck our rebound in and they didn't.

We will let Wrexham dick us at home with Mullin scoring a hat trick on his return and then sack him then for an extra dose of embarrassment.

Some random nobody youth coach in to replace him as Wilson has his hands fully on the wheel now.

Found that a bizarre performance from Grimsby. Well on top first half and deservedly ahead.

Granted we changed formation at half time and came out much better (from an admittedly very low bar) but that wasn't Grimsby trying to hold onto a lead, they just gave up all semblance of a performance until 10 minutes before the end. I'd have been fuming if I were a Grimsby fan with that second half showing.

Fair result in the end. City with more possession, more passes, more shots and more corners.
