Alfreton 0-1 Lowestoft (Reed 60)

All the preseason optimism has evaporated as we were absolutely dire tonight. Creating no clear cut chances. The closest we came to a goal was a deflected Thanoj Freekick which went Inches wides.

Lowestoft goal was a gift as a defensive error allowed Reed to round Draper and slam it home.

And to add insult to Injury Dan Bradley was sent off AGAIN tonight for a late and dangerous challenge. He has now made 1 official appearance and has been sent off twice. Not the actions of a responsible club captain!

Its early doors but the signs are extremely worrying

Did Lowestoft shithouse their way to victory like they did against us (time and time again), ie. fall over and harass the ref at every opportunity?

I predicted 11th for your lot in my preview before the season and I stick by that. Has Law got a bit of budget still left?

Another great result for Solihull tonight winning away at Boston and an awful one for Chorley losing 4-0 at North Ferriby.

I wouldnt say so. Although the Ref did give them all the decisions. Their Number 9 kept breaking our attacks with fouls and must have been given 7 or 8 warnings before finally being booked. Other than that they werent too bad. We however were shocking.

Its early doors but on current evidence we have shown very little to suggest anything other than a fight against relegation so far.

Hoping we can get our first win under our belts sooner rather than later, keeper 11 on the field and try and build from there.

What's the situation with Ferriby and their owners. I was shocked to have seen they beat Chorley 4-0.

They stayed on, I believe the budget has been reduced by quite a bit (but nowhere near as much originally thought)

4-0 to north ferriby, what a joke!, nuneaton at home we were really unlucky, their number 5 should have gone off, the ref was shambles!

I was shocked to, we were awful, their number 11 got a hat trick, he deserved it, he was great, he was called Curtis bateson, I think

Does anyone know what happened to Ritchie Allen? He was the top scorer for Fylde ever, he got sent off against Solihull and his contract got terminated! Why would they do that, it has got to be something horrible

I think they have put him on the transfer/loan list rather than ave his contract terminated.

Whatever the reason I would quite happily take a punt on him.

I agree, we were awful, who would've thought that us, Boston and FC united would be the teams in the bottom 3 and the only ones with no points?!, great result for your lads on Tuesday, is it true you were only allocated 500 tickets?

FCUM have hit their limit for the time being i think. No shirt sponsorship/cheap season tickets/£9 matchday admission etc. They are/were only one of the bookies favourites because of the name and big support base. A mid-table finish for them and they would have done well. Yeah 500 away allocation though I think it will go up once they have had a few more games there and got the full safety certificate.

I'm making my first trip to Ferriby on Saturday. We've started very well, but I think this will be difficult. :err:

Small ground, with the Humber bridge in the background, good food and very small crowd!

They are fashionable in the area and getting their new ground will afford them a lot of commercial income, if not the shirt sponsorship. I bet they sell off a bunch of other things. They will do far better at selling pitch-side advertising, boxes etc than other clubs at the level as well as their much higher attendances which will also generate higher merchandise based income.

They might take a few years, but unless the attendances fall off and local interest drops, which I don't really see happening right now, then they will be competing in the top end of the division in the next few years.

They would be favourites due to name recognition and supporter base, much like we were made favourites for our league. It's not because we will do that well, but because more people will bet on us (including our own fans).

Chorley have signed Andy Bond a vastly experienced 29 year old midfielder who has a lot of Football League experience. Has played for Barrow, Colchester (where he was a regular in league 1), before loan spells at Crewe and Bristol Rovers, he then had a season at Chester and then last season had 23 first team appearances with Stevenage before being released. Seems like a great signing, and if we play him with Sam Sheridan, Adam Roscoe and Dale Witham in midfield, and we actually pass it about and don't punt it over the midfield and leave them out!

See you on Saturday!
looking forward to it, should be an interesting game.

we looked great in midweek, a contrast to Saturdays performance where there was a complete disconnect between our defence & midfield.

I'm sure your lads will have a lot to prove.

FCUM have hit their level for now as Mourinho points out.

But they'll soon get bored, sell out their principles again and piss the league.

Fylde have signed Jason St Juste, a player we were confident of signing last week.

We have to win after a shaky start, what is your ground like?
