Indiana Jones dares to enter the Shadowed Graveyard. He stumbles around the ominous tombstones and some empty graves looking for the treasure. The Woods are starting to drive him insane, and in his desperation to find some treasure he starts digging into a grave which is not empty with his bare hands.

There is a tombstone for this grave, but the engraving is difficult to read because the stone has worn a way. Indy can just about make out the first three letters of the forename "JAS..." . Eventually he gets to a coffin and with a great effort he manages to clear enough dirt away so that he can open it....is this a good idea? He opens the coffin to find....

Nothing. As in no treasure, but weirdly no body either!

After all the digging Indy is exhausted and reaches out his arm to lean on the tombstone. SUDDENLY a steel blade comes whizzing through the air to chop Indy's arm off!

Luckily though, Dr. Jones senses the danger and manages to pull his arm out of the way. The danger isn't over yet though as Indiana Jones finds himself confronted with.....

Also, Potter passed the Merchant on his way to the Graveyard so gets the Scuba Gear for reals this time. Same deadline as above PaulHaddock if you want to buy anything from the Merchant (latest shop in OP).

Everyone's item inventory is in the OP as well. :)

Up later we have an Elf type bloke fighting a Gnome! First of all though....

Indiana Jones [11BR] vs Jason Vorhees [21 BR]

Equipment used: Axe

Indy looks a bit scared, Jason has a long history of killing and Indy hopes he hasn't met his match. Indy briefly hides behind one of the tombstones but is quickly found by Jason who swings his blade but Indy attaches his whip to a tree that is overhanging into the Graveyard to both evade the blade and get behind Jason. Indy pulls out an axe and plunges it into Jason's back! Jason barely reacts though, turning around and then picking up Indy by his legs and hurling him across the Graveyard.

Indy is lying there stunned, he's really out of energy now, especially as he dug up a coffin with his bare hands before this thing even started. Jason with unnatural strength picks up a half tombstone which has crumbled away from its base. He holds it above his head and slowly walks over to the downed Dr. Jones.....is this the end for Indy???

Jason Vorhees is about to drop the Tombstone on Indy's head. This must be the end....the axe is firmly lodged into Jason's back right? Indy came in with no other equipment.....

Luckily though, the sly dog that Indy is saw that the Axe hadn't done enough damage in Jason's back so he yanked it out before Jason could turn around and hurl him across the graveyard. Pulling out the Axe Indy says....

"If you felt more pain you would have noticed that I took this back you dumb bastard!"

Indy hurls the axe which this time slices through one of Jason's wrists! This causes the tombstone to come crashing down on Jason's head which kills him....and this time for good!

Indiana won by a score of 3 BR or more which means a bonus £70!

In the battle of the pointy hats it's a close battle. The angry gnome throws a bunch of plant pots at Link which he evades. He thows some food in the Gnome's direction but the latter is not interested in snacking at this precise moment.

The Gnome charges at Link so Link resorts to the net which seems to work at first, and he traps the Gnome just before he can attack Link. However, Link gets his foot caught in the net and trips over which gives the Gnome a chance to escape and beat Link up to win this fight. Link is now trapped in the Mud Palace dungeon! Cantankerous Gnome levels up.

I will be doing the next movement phase after Locke's fight so be sure to have a plan in place in your PM otherwise you will move in a random direction! You can also include contingencies eg. Locke could say "if we beat the Gnome do this, and if we lose to the Gnome do this". Howard - you need to increase your activity or the Demon King will be paying you a visit soon...

John Locke [11BR] vs Cantankerous Gnome [15BR]

Equipment used: none.

Locke uses some of the mud to cover his face so it makes him harder for the Gnome to spot him. The tactic works well and when the Gnome charges vaguely in his direction he is able to smash his ceramic ass to pieces with a strong kick. Locke wins! +1BR plus the Mud Palace treasure!

Locke won by 3BR or more so wins a bonus £70!

Howard is killed by the Demon King.

You would think people on here would have the common decency to drop you a short PM saying "I don't want to play anymore." The mafia universe people who wanted out managed it!

Well actually I looked earlier and we didn't seem to have to make any decisions (for the deadline that I saw anyway) so didn't do anything.

It's hard to devote yourself to something when you have other commitments and no one else is on your team.

Fwiw it's probably the right call but I'm not going to talk to myself in a pm and we seemed to be the only team without an immediate decision to make.

That's fine, as I explained earlier if someone wants out that's completely up to them and I bear no ill feelings over it. It wouldn't have hurt to take a few seconds to tell me that though.

I've decided to stop running this. I can't bury my head in the sand and pretend that there is enough enthusiasm and activity for this. This isn't a sudden decision, I've been on the fence about it for the last few days.

I think it's more the timing of it than anything. Activity was brilliant in Survivor: South Africa and China - I think the forum game community on here was just more active at that time rather than there being anything particularly wrong with this game.

Contrary to what the Vince McMahon and M. Bison clips might suggest, I don't actually enjoy kicking people out of the game, especially when these are people I have known on TFF/1FF for a long time - doing this is not my idea of fun.

A few people have been very active, you know who you are and I'm sorry you won't get to play the rest of the game. It is what it is, people are free to do what they want in their spare time. Ultimately it's only a forum game and nobody is under any pressure to play or put any effort in. Sometimes life is unexpectedly busy and understandably things like this don't always come at the top of everyone's list of priorities.

This is a game that was designed with the hope that there would be 6 active teams competing against eachother, and that is not going to be the case (or even close to that in all honesty). Maybe I should have sensed this was going to be the case when not many people signed up (I had envsioned 4-5 people per team when planning the game), but I thought I would give it a go anyway. Now there are only 4 teams, and a couple of those are down to 1 active player.

So yeah, overall I'm not going to force this anymore. Like I say, it is what it is and there just seemingly isn't the appetite for forum games on here at the moment that there has been in the past. At least people have had a taste of what this game was supposed to be like, and there was decent participation to complete the Go Compare Guy and Spooky Mask challenges so hopefully people enjoyed them.

That's a shame LR, was looking like it was a very good and well planned game, cheers for the effort. The haunted mansion mini game was incredible as well.

Real shame to hear that. You're right in what you same about forum game activity- even in Lee's Grandstand, you could tell the interest in it got less and less as it progressed and it dwindled down to the regulars (imo). Maybe the early forum games were due to the excitement of the new forum?

It's a shame the players from Wars didn't turn up too. They're usually very reliable for games.

I found the mini-games really fun. Though I only got all the rules by the end, they were entertaining throughout and can stand up as games by themselves.

That's a real shame LR as I've been enjoying this one since I got involved and our teams been fairly active on the whole. Appreciate the decision though as these games take an age to run and you need to see people being involved to make it worth while.

I was surprised you kicked out Magic though as thought he'd been pretty active on the whole.

Not sure what's changed really maybe the site being less accessible recently means people are checking in less often and don't even talk to me about the state of PM's.

Sorry LR, I haven't been able to get on since Tuesday. I was only a bit part player before that mind, as I just don't get time to invest in these games like I used to. Soweee

I appreciate the effort you've put into this, last request, and for giving it a go even when there weren't many sign ups initially. I've enjoyed it so far, but completely understand why you don't want to carry on.
