I've been fond of smearing lemon and coriander houmous all over a wheat tortilla and then placing a canned tuna steak (taken out of the can) right slap bang bosh into the middle of it, wrapping it up and eating it lately.

This afternoon I shall be eating rainbow trout (which I will obviously be cooking first as I am not raw fish eating savage like Libertadores FC) and new potatoes.

The wife and a couple of her friends went through to Costco Wholesale Warehouse (where they are members) in Glasgow yesterday. She bought £130 worth of beef, mince, sausage, lamb steaks (all quality gear) and a few other items. The beef (used for stew) and mince have all been cooked and bagged & that will keep me going for a good while so these items will not require to be bought with the weekly shop.

Was considering taking up membership of that myself. Apparently there is one in Sheffield.

Prepared and cooked rainbow trout with new potatoes.

I baked it in foil with salt, pepper, butter and lemon. Was going to add some onions too but hadn't realised I had run out. Was very agreeable.

Onions?....we could set up a wee stall & sell onions mate. The wife loves the garden (I help with the more mundane & laborious tasks) & in part of it she has several wooden garden planters approx 8' x 6' in which she grows a pile of veg. This year she done beetroot, leeks, cabbage, peas, spring onions and a load of onions (red & white) which are now hanging from rafters in a shed. She wanted chickens a few years ago but I put my foot down and said no & believe it or not I won.

Knocked up a venison and mushroom ragu, going to have some with spaghetti later and the rest in a lasagna tomorrow.

Made it with some venison burgers I got from the farm shop today, the were out of date tomorrow so I only paid £3 for 5 burgers. The rest of the ragu was made with carrots, celery and spring onions, all organic and brought from the same place for under £2. add in two tins of chopped toms and I've got about 10 portions for under a fiver. Bargain.

That really looks lipsmacking fuckin' good mate. I've just finished a bowl of frosties but if a plate of that was presented to me the now I'd be in there faster than a rat up a drainpipe!

Anybody tried the new walkers crisps flavours? The cheese, cucumber and salad cream ones are the weirdest flavour i've ever tasted.
