John Hughes is bossing this list.

And right he should!

Loads of people who you forget ever existed outside the 80s, they pretty much are the 80s. John Hughes, Molly Ringwald, Andrew McCarthy, Irene Cara (Flashdance the best ever soundtrack for a shit film?), Jennifer Grey, Corey Feldman, Ally Sheedy etc.

Even though it wasn’t released in the 80s, Shawshank Redemption will still somehow win this. It won every film poll on TFF despite no one ever seemingly voting for it.

I have no time for Republican's and of course he couldn't run for US President not being born there, but it would have been fun to see him in the Oval Office! :2thumb:

I don't particularly like looking at Arnie's face. I think he's pretty fucking ugly to be fair.

Oh yeah he is an ugly bastard, but that adds to his appeal as to why someone who speaks with such a thick accent and is as ugly as that, can be a world famous actor.

Because of his slick acting talents, that's why!

I voted Return of the Jedi instead of Empire Strikes back because as a kid I loved Jedi a lot even though Empire is a better film and I like it more now

Ah Blade Runner, seen it countless times and never tire of it. Full of great subtleties that you uncover on subsequent viewing, and moral questions that you could write theses on. Superb film. Don't think the sequel getting made will be half as good though.

Blade Runner (1982) - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083658/?ref_=nv_sr_1

WHAAAAA?!? No top 10. I hate you all.

Have you ever seen a terrible film called Soldier? One of the screenplay writers on Blade Runner wrote it, and sees it as not so much a sequel, but a story set in the same universe. Me and my friends came across it late one night on TV and sat through the whole thing laughing at how terrible it was. It is certainly no Blade Runner sequel, spiritual or otherwise!

Its one of those rare films that is so utterly terrible, but you find yourself having fun somehow! Carrie 2 another fine example!
