Can't remember the games but I can assure you he has played at full back. As i'm a season ticket holder there I think I watch them more than you ?? Maybe not??

What in damnation? That is up there with Richarlison going for £50m in terms of reactive spending. Waghorn has had one good season, he has largely been wank.

Looks like we're signing Tim Krul. Obviously he's struggled since his injury a few years ago but he has to be better than McGovern and, after taking a good look at him in pre-season, the coaching staff have clearly decided that Remi Matthews isn't good enough for the Championship.

No bid received so not sure where your sources are. £5m had already been rejected and the club want £8-£10m.

His family (including parents) have just moved down and he and his wife are ambassadors for a local charity. 95% sure he'll still be a Town player.

Alright precious, I said if you can show me when fair enough which was me saying I stand to be corrected but you've failed to do so and got all defensive.

Personally I think £5m for Waghorn is very good money for Ipswich - not necessarily for just for Ipswich, but any side that he played for. He's 28, not likely to get any quicker, stronger, etc., and has had just one good season in English football. His goalscoring and assisting of last season deviates from the norm.

I seem to recall that after the first third of last season, ITFC had scored loads from an disproportionate amount of attempts - the corresponding xG was totally off. That usually means that over the course of the whole season, results start to normalise out and the team would be expected to sit in a more realistic and lower spot in the table.

I remember a couple of seasons ago we somehow got in a spat with a stiker from either the Dutch or Swedish leagues, because after being linked to us our DoF indicated that the player wasn't of interest because his recent impressive goal tally was far too high for the amount of chances he actually had - i.e. we saw it as better for a player to create lots of chances and score some of them, than create few chances and score most of them, as the likelihood of repeating the latter is much lower. Our DoF basically said this guy's form wasn't going to last and was a deviation from the mean, and that it would likely correct itself shortly. Said striker got pissed off with us, went off to a MENA league and ultimately had a terrible goalscoring season. I kind of get the feeling that Waghorn has just had one of those types of seasons.

Nonsense, thankfully. He won't be going anywhere for less than £7m.

At this stage of the summer, I really have no interest in selling him and hope the club feel the same way.

Due to the fact I'm not a statistician or have perfected the art of time travel -- I simply cannot prove to you he played at full back. Its something your just going to have to take my word on.

Derby want George Evans apparently. Not sure why we're trying to push him out the door. Steady player and entirely capable on his day. Surely better than Joey van den Berg and Dave Edwards - both were utterly appalling last season.

He’s a centre half all day long. Wank one at that..

Yes, 23 year old Tom Lockyer who is a full Wales international and played 237 games for club to-date, is wank.

Never played anywhere other than centre back for Rovers.

When? I can't recall him playing once there under Clarke but if you can show me when he did then fair enough.

Tbf your orinal post was stating he's never played at RB for Rovers, not under Clarke. Although he did feature at RB regularly during our season out of the league, including Wembley http://www.skysports.com/football/bristol-r-vs-grimsby/teams/336763.

Locks debut for us was at left wing lmao and he's also featured for us as a holding midfielder.

I remember him playing in midfield but not right back, fair dos. You happy with the Harrison deal? Reportedly £750k rising to £1.25m, thought Ipswich might wait on the Waghorn deal but seems he's gone for talks already.

General consensus is that he's a Mcgoldrick replacement, not like for like by any means; but I was pretty confident a Harrison deal did not hinge on us retaining Waghorn.

Naturally though it remains to be seen. Could be a long 2 weeks between now and the start of the season.

Trust a Brentford fan to bring stats into it! Stats can be so misleading in football.

You’re looking at Waghorn on a goal scoring stat but his overall worth to the squad is far greater than that. He made the majority of our attacking play which wouldn’t show in an obvious statistic. You’d look at key passes etc.

Without Waghorn (who is a vital part of our current spine, along with Bialkowski) we’d be in (more) trouble down the league. Staying up is worth far more than £5m when you consider the difference in money you’d receive from being in the Champ to League 1. If someone wanted a player who could compliment what they’ve already got, then £5m would be a lot for him, but for us, he’s a vital part for where we are right now, and that is worth far more than £5m to us.

We sold Webster for £4m roughly with add ons taking up to potentially £7m+! Was a rather strange one for me, would never have said he was worth that, considering his injury record

Echos my thoughts exactly. Losing him and trusting in fnding an adequate replacement in time for Blackburn on the 4th fills me with dread.

As good as Cunningham is, we got about £4m for him and he's a leftback, no idea why Ipswich would entertain £5m for a striker off a very good season.

Not entirely sure that's true, unless he can play centre back? We're in the market for a young centre half, that I have no doubt, but we have the biggest collection of defensive minded central midfielders in the Championship - we're literally nearing double figures.

Lampard may have seen something in him during his time at City, but I'm not convinced.

So he’s looking for a move from you lot?
Their owner today said if there's genuine Championship interest he'll want to leave haha.

Also, ark at Swansea...

QPR fans, for what it may or may not be worth, Eustace was at our U23 game today that featured many very much available first team players: Blackman, Butterfield, but perhaps more to the point - Martin & Thorne.

Sounds like they’ve resigned to letting him go.

As for Swansea, they could probably offer more than Wednesday?

Article reeks of an agent trying to put his clients name out there. Doubt 1FF would swap Wednesday for Swansea.
