Shrews at home for us, expecting an unchanged side again for a third league game in a row.

Since Stevenage done us 3-0 we've brought back the more experienced players to the team in Beckles, Pratley and Piggott. Beckles and Pratley are our teams leaders, IMO we've always done better when both have played, we've also switched to a back three.

We're still leaking goals from set plays though and have done since pre season, its something we've got to address or we'll keep falling behind in games.

Shrewsbury a side in transition but still with some very good players for theis level, Bayliss and Shipley would both likely fit in well to our side. Ryan Bowman always seems to have good games against us................

Leyton Orient away.

I could watch this from the comfort of my lounge via IPTV but I probably won’t. Haven’t been this disinterested in football for quite some time all thanks to Roland.

Can’t score, can’t keep clean sheets, players not playing for manager, fans turning against the chairman like I’ve never seen before in my lifetime… all points to an away win, no? Seriously, we’ll lose that much is pretty much a banker.

Vale at home which I’m looking forward to, both teams have improved on last season and it looks set to be a decent game, sounds like vale have some decent footballers in the middle, I do like a decent midfielder, so digby and Thomas wil have there work cut out.

I’m expecting a couple a couple of changes, fejiri to come in up top and maybe Gordon to come in on the wing although not entirely sure his inexperience would be the right thing, I thought stevens was meant to be fit this wk end but in all honesty mannion hasn’t put a foot wrong so far.

Tough test but hoping we come out on the right side 2-1.

Don’t mean to be a doom and gloom merchant but Orient are probably the best team I’ve seen so far, completely played us off the park!

Can’t see it been a classic. Got 1-1 or 0-0 written all over it as both teams are afraid to lose.
I’m hoping you leaky defence stays leaky. Mind you - ours is hardly water tight so fill your boots.
If you go on Saturday there will be a minutes applause for a young Burton fan who was killed going to school last week. He was 13. So it will be in the 13th minute.
Tragic loss of life.
Remember seeing this on Twitter last week - the day before my own son turned 13.

Can't possibly imagine what that poor family are going through.

Going off key for a second, do you guys at Fleetwood still produce a programme? I'm getting ready for our game next week!
Interesting question, the answer must be no as I can't remember the last time I saw anybody selling programmes. Having said that I'm not 100% certain...

Derby County at home. Another tough tough ask.

Realistically I can't see us getting anything, particularly now Kayode's out for 3 months. He would have given us a different dimension.

I'd take a point right now even though we desperately need wins to avoid our poor start to the season becoming a terrible one.

Will be an interesting team sheet at 2pm for us down at Portsmouth!

We rested pretty much our entire available first XI in midweek so tiredness won't be an excuse. We had to make the changes because we can't risk anymore injuries and we had Jackson out again with illness as well.

I don't think the lack of striker will necessarily alter our approach, we're not exactly a gung-ho side anyway. Whether subconsciously we drop a little deeper because of that I don't know but the important thing tomorrow will be taking a chance when we get it, and the good news is that we're one of the (or 'the'?) most clinical sides in the league and spreading the goals around so far - we haven't actually had any of our strikers score so far! It's what they offer leading the line that we'll miss, so holding the ball up, keeping possession and sustaining attacks will be a big, big challenge.

Snap your hand off for a point!

Our game with Oxford has the feel of a very big game for us. A big test and a real yardstick in terms of have we been riding our luck a bit or are we the real deal. We still have a few injuries but can still put out a decent 11 in my view. Very difficult to predict the outcome UTC

Two defeats in the last two games (one I can’t believe we lost, one we deserved to) have just seen us drop down the table a bit.

Barnsley at home is a tough test so I think although we’re playing well at home we’ll struggle to get anything today.

Less than 60 tickets left in the home ends and Barnsley bringing 1,400 so pretty much a sell out. Hampered by our smaller ground in this division as we have no space and tickets in decent areas of the ground aren’t freely available.

Three of the four home areas sold out at the Abbey - five hundred terrace tickets left in the final area.
Will be close to a sell-out again!
No idea how this one goes - both teams improved significantly on last season, both still capable of having a poor game; could be any result!
I’ll be watching from a bar in Italy…

How did Yanic do on his debut?

Other than Cambridge where the side were complete dross, we have dominated large spells in games so I wouldn't expect any different this afternoon.

If you are to get anything you'll either need to outplay us with a high intensity press of just sit back and absorb pressure, hope you're clinical from a set piece or our occasional naivety in going all gung-ho in pursuit of a goal when we are susceptible on the break. I imagine we are a bit of a nightmare to set up against under Manning. It doesn't half make for an entertaining game, mind!

No Mandroiu either. :ffs:

Adelakun plays for the third time in a week after being given a squad number only last weekend. Everyone else back in thought and Jackson is back from illness in defence so there's one positive!

Probably our strongest XI at the moment but no strikers on the bench with Thomas still ill and Loft out.

Good to have Chislett back and Devine has done better off the bench than starting.

Vale have played well and should have scored a couple more. The fact we’re still in this is good enough for me after how poor we’ve been. Need to get our act together second half.

Decent half by the sounds of it an Willo unlucky not to make it 2.

Seen the goal and two beautiful passes to create it. Good to see Garrity back in the goals after only one last season.

Long way to go and will need to keep it up.

1-0 down despite being the better side for long spells. Derby a real threat on the flanks, but their goal came from some awful defending on our part - Huntington and Lavelle going for the same initial ball, a weak header from Lavelle gifting them a crossing opportunity and then both Hunts and Fin Back basically ducked under a shot which took a nasty bounce leaving Andresson no chance.

We've had chances since, Jordan Gibson is causing them all sorts of problems. Moxon has had 5 or 6 chances to put a decent ball in from set pieces but seems to have put the wrong boots on today. We're not out of it - yet.

Thank the lord for the Ripper!

Frustrating to blow the lead especially with yet again not dealing with a cross into the box, losing Mitch at half time weakens us massively out wide but saving a penalty at the death I guess we will take it.

Sadly we just can't chase games. As soon as Poole scored just before half time to make it 2-1, thats how i expected it to end. I missed the opening 20, if we'd have kept the lead for longer, then who knows. You'd want that chance at the end to fall to anyone except Jackson.

A tough game but we battled. Always a tough place to go, we were 2nd best for sure, but didn't look too out of place. Chetenham at home next.

Conspired to gift Derby two goals, offered no cutting edge, drew another blank.

This takeover needs to go through, pronto. January will be make or break for us - presuming we're not already out of touch by then.

Easy 4-1 win with a makeshift defence. Wigan looked decent on occasions in the first half but quickly got worse which was surprising given their recent form.
Jack Hunt MOTM and looks a great signing. Luke Thomas dangerous as always and Evans & Finley hitting the form we know they are capable of.
Always good to see the front two notch as well.
Woods and Brown not even in the starting XI
Ref shite, and when we win 4-1 you know that's true.
Onto the next...

I’ve had to stop watching recently as I found our performances too infuriating and ended up ruining my day. Since then we’ve won 2-0 and won 4-1. Guess I’ll be staying away for a while then

Totally dominated today, forgot to mention Taylor who was a rock again. They got the ball moving quicker today with more purpose.
Fair play to Wigan they didnt pack the defence like many do in this league

Thought we were pretty poor today and Vale were the better team. We only looked remotely lively once Bonner had made the three subs with half an hour to go and two of them combined for the goal again - think that’s the third time that’s happened this season now. Annoying to miss a penalty to win it with three mins to go but we didn’t deserve to win so can’t complain much. Take a point all day out of that, we’d have lost that one 3-0 last season so shows how far we’ve come.

Exeter are probably the best side we’ve faced this season by some margin. They knocked it around and looked well drilled. In reality we could and probably should have been 3-0 up within 25 minutes though by not taking chances it made for a much more competitive game.

We don’t have a recognised centre forward with Harris suspended for three games so we aren’t pressing much/if at all which allowed Exeter into the game. Demetri Mitchell looked excellent. He looks to be a really good recruit.

Despite the league positions of both sides it didn’t half look like both sides had shoehorned players as makeshift strikers! Bodin is a wonderful footballer and technically he’s very good, yet we look a totally different side with him as a false nine. We are effectively playing without a striker right now. When Harris is unavailable and we don’t press, I suspect we’ll invite too much pressure on ourselves and become unstuck.

Yeah I’ll admit I thought we’d win purely on the basis that Wigan won’t just sit off and play defensive. But then I saw the line up….

Fair play, hopefully a platform to kick on from
