I don't rate Telford really, seen him a couple of times now and the more I see him the more evident it is that he benefited greatly from playing alongside Courtney Baker-Richardson at Newport. Acquah seems a bit of a carthorse but caused problems, we just managed to just about fix things by bringing Maher on and going three CBs at the back. In terms of your midfield, I was surprised to see Foley benched, always been impressed by him.
While CBR and Telford formed a good partnership at Newport, the main reason for Telford’s success was the midfield behind him supplying the bullets. Ollie Cooper and Finn Azaz were immense that season.

If Dave Mitchell were dead, he would be turning in his grave seeing that kick off routine.

Each to their own, and I agree with parts, you improved in the second but we were still the better side.

You actually defended well at times but I think it’s completely unacceptable for us, at home to play like that and not win it. Like you say if we get one in the first it may have ended up a thrashing.

We played some great stuff particularly in that first, you really struggled and it was two completely different styles.

I’ll happily sign whoever takes your corners mind, we are so wasteful with them considering we have Flint in the box.

We’ve been shit at set pieces all season, they’re absolutely dreadful,

Second half was okay, but that game management of a lead bit is a real area we need to work on. For a team generally so good at keeping the ball we can lose the ability to do it in that situation. We were never going to be able to play with the same intensity as the first half though, so can’t complain.

Swindon couldn’t cope with the intensity of our press and speed of passing in the first half, but played some cracking stuff in the second when it settled to a more normal pace. Can see why they’re doing well and they’ll be up there.

When will Notts play someone good?
You let yourself down with that last comment mate. You were dynamite in the first half but we changed shape and had you on the back foot for the vast majority, if not practically all, of the second half. If FBT had put away the open goal header at 3-1 down then we probably would have got a point if not all 3 which looked impossible at half time. You are a very good side but then so are we considering the poor sides that we have played to date. Remember we put 6 past Crawley and they are currently above us. Fully expect both Notts and ourselves to be in the top 5 come April

Can't speak for Jacob obviously but I strongly suspect he was saying that with tongue very much in cheek following all the comments this season about just how favourable our fixture list has been to date.

Lots of IFs in every football match, we should have scored more than 3 , fantastic double save from your keeper being a prime example. There was no way that first half intensity and drive could be maintained by Notts, especially when 3 up at Half Time.

As mentioned impressed with Swindon and hope and expect both sides to be in the top 7 come end of the season when everyone has played everyone.

Can we talk about the proper stuff now... what was that first half kick-off from your lad? Never seen anything like it.
Ha, ha, yes looked like a complete break down in communication. Now watch us be successful with it at Bradford on Saturday

My mistake. Good luck for the season

It was just a joke because people keep mentioning we've had an easy run of fixtures (although we played both Accrington and MK when they were second, hopefully you don't slip down the table like they have). I thought you looked a really good team for the most part, fully expect you to be challenging.

Beaten by the better side on the night.

Our defence, which doesn't impress me, looks a lot worse without Conroy. If nothing else he stops Williams dropping into the 3 man defence line too early.

I do smile when fans talk about fouls on the attacker but never mention the fouls the attacker commits. Ironside gave our defenders a torrid time all night but he definitely fouls a lot and gets away with it. I'm not saying he wasn't fouled but he ain't an angel.

Doncaster look a lot better than their position in the table.

Pointed out that we've lost 3 games this season and Gladwin has missed all 3 and Conroy 2.

Without looking too much into Crawley's team, who is going to be out for Saturday? If anyone says their key man in defence is missing, I feel like we should put pressure on the replacements (not saying the replacements are worse but would hope they would be more uncomfortable facing the likes of Mullin, Palmer, Fletcher and Lee).

For some strange reason Lindsey doesn't seem to care about Tuesday night games... I think they were just rested last night. We'll likely be at full strength Saturday.
I say it time and time again, all you have to do is press us very high and you'll score goals. If you come with an attacking mindset it could genuinely be another 5-5.

Oh fuck sake. I've had enough of ridiculous high scoring games these past couple of years. We have been involved in:

6:5 against Dover
7:5 against Barnet
4:5 against Grimsby (inc ET)
3:5 against MKD
5:5 against Swindon

I might even forget about others, but that's pretty good entertainment!

Sounds like our match at Harrogate wasn't great but never mind. What a great goal by Omar Bugiel. Why did Sutton release him? He's an integral part of our team.

I've yet to visit Harrogate and the way things are currently going, it'll be a while yet.

Up to second, nosebleed time.
How's Buigel been for you? Looked some player for Worthing all those years ago but not sure about his goal return in the football league.

Superb for us. Does the.hard dirty work and is a perfect foil for ali. Also scores occasional match winners.

He doesn't need to be a prolific goalscorer when he's one of 13 players to have scored this season.

Bugiel our biggest loss. Was fundamental to how we played. Like having 12 players on the pitch, was target man and extra man in midfield. Best defender from the front I’ve seen. I’m not privy to what soured the relationship with Matt Gray but for me he was a team player with an excellent attitude for us.

I see some decent players in Sutton squad, surprising to see such a poor start.

He was pretty decent for us when we signed him from you but deemed surplus to requirements when we were promoted to the Football League. What impressed me about him, other than his ability as a player, was that he seemed truly humble and down to earth, a really likeable character...I think he was genuinely surprised to be playing at such a high level and trying to enjoy every moment. He seems to draw positive comment from fans of every team he has played for, which is a pretty rare achievement, certainly no big time Charlie.

Not a massive fan of Swindon's drag back kick off routine, not sure it'll catch on!
