Not taking long for the seive/notts county defence to concede.

Would prefer county to get a draw or win here really

Draws for Stockport v Notts and Crewe v Barrow is all I want for Christmas.

Hard to know how much of it is having the lead and knowing we'll likely give them more goals, but Stockport have been very passive. Were having good results pressing high but have since dropped off and we look comfortable. Haven't created anything clear cut yet though and ultimately if we're playing such an attacking lineup that can't be the case.

1-0 up at Crewe. Whitfield with the goal after rolling Billington and rolling the ball into the bottom corner. Crewe's young keeper i getting a bit of blame for it, but Billington deserves more stick for letting a winger roll him. Crewe havn't done much so far, but always seam to come on stronger in the 2nd half, so it's far from over.

Interesting offside chalked off a Wimbledon goal here. Al Hamadi powered a header in from a corner for Wimbledon but lino flagged for offside as the Womble in the line stood in front of the keeper and stopped him diving

No idea if he was in an offside position (wrong angle) but definitely stopped the keeper. Wombles had a coach sent of for arguing the decision.

The game itself. There's only one team playing and it ain't us. We have vacated central midfield. Playing with two wingers on the right and two on the left. Every time we get the ball we give it away and there is noone to stop the runners getting at our defence.

If Lindsey doesn't change this we could be on the end of a thrashing.

Notts in complete control for long periods but we’ve had the best three chances.

Womble 31 sent off. Second yellow. Bloody harsh but good.

Very annoying that but really positive performance given the calamitous 2-3 weeks we’ve just had. 2-3 new players in Jan and we’ll be fine

I can see the logic here, but I wouldn't rule out them playing the same way that others have had success against us. I don't think it's a bad fixture for us to have in the sense that Stockport should be favourites at home against us at full strength so it shouldn't feel like an opportunity missed.
This is ultimately what's happened, a poor piece of defending for the first goal and Stockport made defensive sub after defensive sub and we self destructed.

Ultimately they've got a massive injury list and probably still had more quality on the pitch than we did, no shame in going there and losing.

Wound’ve been a travesty to draw that game, let alone lose it. Notts by far the better team for 90 mins. What was ultimately the winning penalty being for exactly the same thing as we had one turned down for in the first half being the cherry on the shitty cake for us right now. Keep playing like that and we’ll be fine.

Beat Crewe 3-1 2 goals from Whitfield and a penalty from Garner.
The pen was given after a 2 handed push in the back of George Ray by Nevitt. Garner put it right in the corner even though the keeper went the right way. Nevitt then made amends by heading home from a corner for Crewe, but despite hoofing the ball into the box regularly there was little actual threat after that. Whitfield got the 3rd, beating 3 Crewe defenders to powerfully head home a Gotts cross.
I think the weakness in Crewe's bench was a big factor as Barrow's 1st two subs were to replace booked players to stop the risk of a red, but Crewe didn't have the players available to do the same.
We didn't even need to bring Telford off the bench.
7 league wins on the trot - but nothing to see here.

Pissed on crawley first half then had a man sent off and backs to wall second half. Stressful but won in the end. Ref was useless for both sides. Should have been out of site by half time and nearly.paid the price.

Very comfortable win at Donny despite gifting them an early goal.
Graham Alexander doing an excellent job, that's 6 wins on the bounce now in league and cup

Five points or more from the next three games and I’d say we’re as good as promoted.

Notts ran out of ideas with about 30 mins to go and I think their goal in stoppage was their only shot after 60 mins. At one point in the second half Bostock literally stood still with the ball for so long praying someone would press him that I thought the referee had stopped the game.

Langstaff and McGoldrick spent much of the game far too deep. Jobi Jones looked a baller and super impressed with his defensive work as well but again didn’t get into dangerous areas enough.

Great tactical job by Challinor in the second half. It was pointless pressing without our best pressing midfielders and chucking Richardson up top to take advantage of the counter attacking opportunities helped get us the second.

That would've been a comfortable win for us at Crawley but for a twat of a ref. Absolutely inevitable that he would send one of our players off in the second half. In the end Bass made a few decent saves to earn us the points

Absolutely deluded I’m afraid.

Up until the 92nd minute you’d had one decent chance and ran out of ideas after 65 minutes. Cameron was lucky not to be sent off because he wasn’t trying to play the ball.
