We're just a bit short at the moment. Midfield lacks drive overall, too much recycling and not enough oomph. We can't keep a clean sheet for toffee but, if we can get 2-3 players of the right age and standard in we can still have a bash at the playoffs.
Rumours swirling that Williams was in tears and saying his farewells and he's off to Swansea.

Missiles thrown at Alex Bass, our goalkeeper. Obviously not all the bad ones have been weeded out of Crawley's support.

I don't know - does anyone know how Stockport are doing this season - we have them at home next?

I believe that they are beleaguered at the moment. Thirty two players injured. Barrow will marmalise them because in-form Barrow are WELL on my radar.

Absolutely deluded I’m afraid.

Up until the 92nd minute you’d had one decent chance and ran out of ideas after 65 minutes. Cameron was lucky not to be sent off because he wasn’t trying to play the ball.

It was a blatant pen, it was just exactly the same as the one on McGoldrick in the first half that wasn’t given.

We definitely should’ve created more clear chances from the domination we had, but I think it’s absurd to suggest we deserved to lose that game.

1st half was the worst I have seen us play at home since AFC last season. Absolutely embarrassing and a shadow of what we have produced for the majority of the season.
Out fought, out classed and out worked for 45 mins. Lucky it was only 2-0.
2nd half the onslaught didn’t come until we were against 10 men and they seemed to run out of steam at exactly the same time.
We had enough good chances to win the game 2nd half but didn’t even manage to get a point. Karma is a bitch when you’re that shite for the first 45 mins.
All I want for Xmas is a keeper, the Wimbledon keeper ideally.

Keeper was wasting time (player down leading 2-1 everyone would) so some dipstick behind the goal throws something towards him. Nowhere near him really. Keeper does exactly what I would have done and calls the refs attention to it to waste more time.

What planet do these imbeciles come from?

Meadow, if you get a chance to see the sending off tell me what you think. In real time it barely looked a foul let alone a yellow.

And you gave a decent keeper there. He made a few decent saves and he looked calm in possession. Ours let the ball roll over his body for the first and Im not sure about his keeping for the second either.

I don’t even remember a challenge on McGoldrick that could have been a penalty. Neither teams’ Twitter account mentions it either.

Ultimately we created the better chances and I’ll take that over lots of possession any day.

Well that game was over before it started. Injuries killed us off before a ball was kicked. To have O'Riordan, Offord, Powell, Tabiner, White, Colcket, Long, Holicek and Lunt all out injured. Literally Thomas was the only midfield player in the squad and he didn't last the full game, we had a left back, A 1st year pro rookie Centre back and a 17 year old scholar striker all play centre midfield today.

With all that it was never going to result in us getting anything put of that game, if Barrow managed not to win, big questions would have had to have been asked of them. As it went I still don't think Barrow played well but they were professional enough to get the job done. Just such a shame on a big night for the club, having over 7000 home fans in the ground and it all fell abit flat but in truth there was very little anyone could do about it.

Didn’t see the game but it seems we were shite and the worst team that Crewe have played all season (according to Twitter, obviously). Don’t think we’ve deserved a win all season.

First half, towards the end, low cross in and McGoldrick goes for it but gets a blatant shove in the back.

Don’t really get the second bit, you didn’t create anything really. Nicked a goal from a corner and then got a second on the break from a pen when one of our players fell over the ball. Against a team that’s leaking chances like nobody’s business. I fully expect you to win the league and one of the signs of a good team is definitely winning a game like that, but make no mistake that you played extremely badly against a team missing key players, out of form and low on confidence.

Find me a tweet from someone worth listening to that has said you didn't deserve your win tonight. All I've seen is Crewe fans who rightfully bemoan our large absence list but also admit you deserved to win on the day.

I’m sure a Notts county fan said Richardson is a fullback desperate to be a striker when we signed him, looks like Challinor listened!

Barrow 100% deserved to win. Did a very professional job against what they were up against, and that's all they can do. Just a shame it couldn't have been a stronger Crewe team with a few midfield players.

We would absolutely blitzed that Notts County team with Sarc, Collar, and Barry. Fantastic result given the circumstances, just need to back it up with a win against the adult baby on Boxing Day.

Oh when Byrne got ahead of him and got the ball.

Apart from Palmer which key player was missing? We had five starters out.

For all your heaps of possession you had, the only good chance you created before the 92nd minute was from us giving it away inside our own box which I think says it all.

We were chasing shadows at times in midfield towards the end of first and at the start of the second half I’ll admit that but you didn’t turn it into anything meaningful and once we realised we could just sit in and let you have it you completely ran out of ideas.

None of them are worth listening to. It’s just funny to see it every single time, because some people struggle to accept they were beaten by such a tinpot bunch of hoofball merchants. We’re used to it.

Apart from our best player who is out for the season, his understudy is also out for the season, and Scott is also out for the season. Plus we were also missing Macari, who has been our best defender in the last couple of months, and Randall/Morias, our only two attacking options off the bench. Hence why we threw Adebayo on who fucked up for the penalty because we had literally no other options.

I fully agree we should’ve created clearer chances from how much we dominated the game, just saying that is comfortably the most we’ve controlled a game and the fewest chances we’ve given away by miles in the two months or whatever since Palmer got injured. Which I wasn’t really expecting to happen tonight.

Glad Cameron fouled him because he’d have definitely missed.

Five points or more from the next three games and I’d say we’re as good as promoted.

How will you get promoted if James Chester leaves you for us at the end of the month?

There was never a reality that notts would keep pace with those going at the top given the ridiculous defence (43 goals already is ridiculous) but at the same stage it’s bloody blatantly obvious where they struggle and if they can address that who knows,

Also it’s their first season back and they’ve done brilliantly well so far this season in general.

I've not seen many match reports of any game, for any team, that doesn't say this.

Sometimes you get variations along the lines of "We were rubbish, and they weren't much better, but they didn't have to be"

Richardson was full of potential, loads of pace and wanted to get forwards quickly but Burchnall knocked all the life out of him and made him play keep ball to no end. He then gave a soft free kick away in the playoffs that cost us and that was it.
I wanted us to sign him and still do.

Pretty sure he’ll be available in January.

Beyond the pace we’ve seen absolutely nothing from him to suggest he’s a professional footballer.

I've been saying for weeks it's all about the transfer window for us. We're not far off being good enough for the top end of L2 but we're not quite there with what we've got.
