You don't want him, really, honestly you don't. :bg:

I'd like him to stay but with his contract up I suppose it is just down to who offers him the most. He's 29 so this could be his last decent contract.

I don't really - Agard isn't really the sort of striker we need, as we need to replace Eaves first and foremost. Evans seems to have identified midfield as our key concern (which it is) so I'd imagine the majority of whatever budget we have will go there.

Steve Evans has found the Scally wallet then it all makes sense.

Scally's wallet is probably empty.

However, most of our squad was shipped out a month ago, so we have to find about 8 more players from somewhere. Think we had about 12 or 13 players still with us a week ago (with Eaves also going) and no goal keepers. At least we have one now, and he sounds a good one.

I’d guess that we told him we’re looking at better strikers so his play time would be down. I can’t see gillingham paying more than us so it must be down to play time and the fact he knows Evans well.

I wasn't there but I believe Evans mentioned Agard's name at the fans Q and A thing the other night and how much of a leader he was in the dressing room.

He's the most shy bloke the in world.

James Bolton is set to turn down a new contract in favour of a move to Pompey.

Not the best at going forward but defensively he is strong. The type of player that'll get atleast a 7/10 every week in the papers.

Disappointing to see him go, very good signing for Pompey.

Then, it must be bye-bye to Nathan Thompson, who we offered a new deal to but must have decided not to accept it. Haven't seen any news as to where he's off to?

Surely Holmes would be a loan?
He's got a wage promotion increase clause in his contract at Blades so unless someone is going to pay him a handsome wage can't see him leaving on a perm.

He was released.

Injuries have done for him now, unfortunately.

It's the same story with Holmes as already mentioned. IF he can stay fit he is one of the best in this division. Big IF though.

Actually our player rather than a loanee. He was decent for us, but no more. A few niggling injuries throughout his time restricted his playing time and he never really established himself as the first choice right back we expected. Gets up and down the pitch well but that was five or six years ago now.

We’ve signed Brandon Goodship from Weymouth 80 odd goals for them in past 2 seasons hoping he’s a gem

Southend seem determined to amuse me by signing players with wonderful names (though to be fair, young Elvis at full back seems to be pretty reasonable).

As expected Norwood signs for Ipswich. Goes with everyone’s best wishes, the money they’re paying nobody can blame him.

Great signing for Ipswich, gutted he’s gone. Surprised he didn’t end up in the Championship as he’s got all the attributes to play at that level.

We all knew it was coming but absolutely gutted to see him go. He has reached legendary status for his role in digging us out of the horrendous hole we were stuck in.

Hope he has another great season aside from the two obvious games!

I think Nors will be a success at Ipswich, but I also think his years at Tranmere will probably be the best of his career. I don't think he will have the same rapport with the fans or stature at Portman Road that he does at Prenton Park.

However, the money he has been offered is life changing for a lower division player, and I don't begrudge him the move at all.

£6M now being bandied about as the fee we're getting from Brighton for Matt Clarke.

If true, obviously sorry to see him go but great business for us as the majority is likely to be pumped back into the playing budget.

A return for Charlton's Jason Pearce looks a possibility for us. He was very popular here first time around and was sold during one of our many fire sales when we were in meltdown.

We apparently had a bid turned down for Peterborough's Matt Godden a few weeks back.

We're also apparently looking at Ayr United's Lawrence Shankland who is scoring for fun at the moment, albeit in Scottish second tier.
