Dan Barlaser Accrington fans is he any good, he is being linked to us on a season long loan?

He really impressed at Accrington by the sounds of it, classy ball player.

We watched Accrington a lot last season (signed Connor Ripley & bid for Callum Johnson) and we've been linked with a move for him a couple of times. Our local paper said he's not a target for us right now though.

Think he would be good signing for anyone in this league, although don't think he's signed a new deal at Newcastle yet so could move permanently, Wigan have been linked to him too.

Thanks, that's good to know.
Heavily rumoured to be one of two signings today, the other being Grant Ward who was brilliant here on loan but has been plagued with injuries at Ipswich.

Allegedly after Jack Payne (the ex-Southend/Huddersfield one rather than our own one). In a tussle with Salford over him apparently. Fucks sake.
Have to say I hope he doesn't end up you lot. Would be a very good signing for Salford in L2

We are signing Jordan Lyden, recently released from Villa was on loan at Oldham first half of last season got recalled then injured... seemed highly rated by Oldham fans last season.
He's actually on trial along with Callum Roberts just released by Newcastle and Corey Jordan from Bournemouth even though he just signed a new 1 year deal there.

We’ve finally completed the signing of Tariqe Fosu from Charlton on a 3 year deal for an undisclosed fee. After missing out on a couple of targets in the past week it’s good to get this one over the line.

Depends what version of Fosu you get.

He's worked with Gobbo and knows the Chairman so it's an obvious fit.

I yearn for a centre-forward who can actually score goals, so that is the priority.

If you get 17/18 Fosu, you’ve probably got one of the best players in the league. If you get 18/19 Fosu, you may aswell forget about it.

Never seen a player have such contrasting seasons, especially that way around.

He'd be a very good signing for Rochdale in L1. Or Gillingham/Accrington/Bristol R/Wycombe/Oxford/Tranmere or indeed anyone else in here.

Getting very bored with Sal£Ord already...

We've just announced Mark Milligan the Australian Captain on a 1 year deal. Was at Hibs last season 79 International caps, played in 4 world cups. Got experience the boy.

We’ve brought back an old youth keeper in Laurie Walker that we released 10 years ago and hasn’t actually played higher than the national league. Bit of a strange one but he’s been with us for every pre season since he was released so I guess it’s just a safe, cheap 3rd choice keeper for the checkatrade trophy and U23’s.

Utility defender/midfielder Jimmy Keohane has accepted a new two year contract. Pleased with this - looked competent during our end of season improvement.

In the "one-off" recruitment of the Former Dale XI for Joe Thompson's testimonial, the following have so far agreed to play - Simon Ramsden, Nathan Stanton, Gareth Griffiths, Tom Kennedy, Adam Rundle and Gary Jones represent the retired contingent (although if Jonah still looks full of running, he might be worth a deal), and Kallum Higginbotham is calling in for a game en route from Scotland to his new club in Kashmir. Forwards and goalie to be announced, whilst Fabrice Muamba and Frank Sinclair are amongst the opposing XI.

That good then?
I think he’s naff mate from what I’ve seen, not a bad shot stopper but his distribution is horrendous and he punches everything.

You could’ve done better I think, but maybe he’s coming in as backup to the other keeper you signed?

No idea mate, we don’t even know what the other keeper is like.

Although most GK distribution is woeful in this league so he’ll fit right in

Why mate?

Even though we sent him back in January he typified the hopeless, spineless bunch that managed to get us relegated to the conference.

Loads of ability as fans of some of the clubs where he’s been more successful will tell you, but I can’t remember seeing a more selfish, pea hearted player at Notts.

Pretty decent, he impressed in his time with us, apparently didn't with Notts County but then so often clubs that get relegated make decent players look worse than they are. He's very attack minded and exciting on the ball.

Still a bit of a surprise to hear he's making the step up to League One, he only really shone for about a third of a season all-together and I was starting to think that L2 was inevitably his level. Sheffield United obviously think otherwise to 1) keep him on and 2) loan him out to L1.

I’m starting to think the delightful Mr Evans is deliberately building a shit squad with every intention of fucking off somewhere else before the season starts.

And, quite frankly, I’d be happy if I was right.
