Yes, that would be fair. As it was he didn't even get punished for it, so his second half repeated kicking of Dobra off the ball which did receive a yellow, should have been a red. Obviously none of this matters a bit now but it's just context. Jeff King a bigger lunatic than Dobra is every day and twice on Sundays, any big game the geezer is a balls hair away from a red card. Our biggest problem last season was 100% Ross Fitz, that polo handed twat cost us promotion and I don't think I'll ever get over it. That complete miss-hit Rodrigues equalizer that went straight into the ground, bobbled over everyone's head and into the goal is just a football incident, but throwing a ball into your own net 2 minutes away from promotion is a bottling of planet size proportions. Then the penos, don't get me started, completely shat himself, County could still be taking pens now and he wouldn't have got near one.
The last bit, you're probably above stuff like that aren't you really, it's just a discussion.

Once it had started we were well up for the shithouse battle in that game at your place, with Scott leading it, but it had all been pretty mild mannered and tame for 40 mins until Dobra took a cheap shot at Rawlinson and shoved him into a TV camera for no apparent reason. In the end it could’ve easily finished nine men each there was so much off the ball shit going on from both teams.

We were definitely lucky in the final but it would’ve been one of the greatest ever football injustices if we hadn’t gone up last season, so I’ll take it haha.

He does that sometimes, I don't know why, he pushed a centre back into his goalie in a friendly against Derby recently. The big unit CB then absolutely wiped Dobra out for it, similar to what Scott did just a lot harder, sent Dobs flying, much to the amusement of County fans on Twitter. He should cut that out.

Williams definitely instilled a bit of shithousery, win at all costs mindset into you boys, compared to Burchnall anyway.

Yea you were lucky on the day but 100+ points should absolutely get you promotion, no arguments there. It just seemed written in the stars for you the way your semi final and our final went. It was a bitter pill to take but we at least showed some pride in the shirt, we've not seen that for about 8-9 years, genuinely.

It's rare but sometimes the good guys win.

I've not seen the "shithousery win at all costs mindset" installed into the side , although admittedly we couldn't have been any softer under Ardley and Burchnall. What I've seen is very impressive recruitment, under a so far very impressive head coach, and very pretty football.

Will be interesting to see how they translate at this level. More importantly I'm just delighted and relieved to no longer be in the National League. It was nice at the time but no thanks.

They don’t help themselves in the popularity stakes do they…
Bit of context, we flew to a game that was over 4 hours via coach for a match, and Ollie Palmer had a convo with Rob McElhanney, basically to the tune of 'if we win, then you can fly to the next game until you lose' so we kept winning (or not losing) so they continued to fly to games.

We still had to get the players coach down to the relevant airport to pick them up from North Wales.

We were obviously brilliant as a footballing side last season, but he’s absolutely right that adding a bit of a horrible edge from the year before was another massive thing for us. It was never Plan A but if a team started it we were happy to indulge them, match the shithousing and let our quality then win the game. Happened in plenty of away games for sure.

Stockport County.
Arsed. Every club would do it if they could afford to.
Its right of passage to fly to Eastleigh if you're a NL big boy. Dale Vince gave us a load of shit for it.

I wish Wrexham had flown more tbh. Might have warmed the fucking weather up. It's July and it's freezing here.

You probably went to more away games than me as I didn't see much of it on my travels.

I'm happy for us to match anyone who does it, and last season understandably because of the gulf in class I saw lots from the opposition and I didn't blame them one bit. Against the top two they needed to try everything they could.

All the successful Notts sides I've seen had have that streetwise /horrible needs must element going all the way back to the glory days under Warnock.

Saudi oil jet plane money vs B-Corp status and renewable energy.

So far we have Stockport and Wrexham on the dark side and Grimsby and FGR saving the planet.

Pick a side.

Tranmere Rovers are sponsored by an Indian oil company and 30% owned by an Indonesian company that make traditional car batteries amongst their environmentally unfriendly portfolio. We could piss off Greta Thunberg and Dale Vince at the same time. An admirable thing.

If Jonny Williams plays that’s a definite! Let’s be honest, we all do it and it pisses me off. It’ll suit those really fit teams.
How long will the extra injury time be enforced for?

Even at the World Cup I think the time reduced as the tournament went on after a few complaints about ti being too long.

I hope our VIP hospitality offer FGR nothing but veal, foie gras and oil-covered pelicans

Some games at this level are going to finish about 5:30!
I've been reading through these.

A player gets injured. The physio comes on to assess him. He is not allowed to offer treatment but has to help him hobble to the touchline. 30 seconds after being on the touchline he is allowed to come back on..

That hobble/ carry to the touchline could be a long slow walk.

Fair play for trying but until they let players be treated by the physio while play continues it won't speed up play.

Jake didn’t get a lot of playing time with Rovers, so it’s hard to call. He’s fairly quick and although fairly short can be difficult to shake off the ball. I’d hope and expect him to be a decent signing for Chester, think he’ll get some goals and assists and will be following his progress with interest.

Former QPR striker is suing QPR for racist abuse suffered while on loan at Crawley.

I think the gist of his case is that he complained about the abuse and they loaned him back and because he complained again he wasn't offered a new contract and still hasn't got a new deal.

Don't really want to go over it all again.

Thank you! It's been a while, how are you?
I’m very well thank you, and yourself?

All we need now is Ian and Posh and we have a full on reunion I think haha
