Joel Lynch leaves Crawley on a mutual termination of his contract.

When fit he is too good for this level. That's the problem. "When fit".

Someone is going to get 15 really good games and 5 not so good a season from him.

Alan Nixon (Twitter, the sun) reckons Gills are after Callum Hendry from Salford.

Is this old news (we’ve signed Macauley Bonne now) or is it a goer. Any Salford fans hear anything or can let us know what he’s like?

You probably won't get hold of him, he's doing the Liverpool v Chelsea match later.

Paddy not impressed last season?

He broke his leg five minutes into the first match last season and didn't feature much. He came back and had some cameos off the bench where he didn't really do too much. He's rightfully been given some slack and time after suffering such a bad injury. He looked decent in pre-season to be fair to him, but he came off the bench on Saturday and was exactly the same player we saw in his cameos last season; He picks up the ball and tries to take everyone on. A simple pass on but he'd prefer to try and dribble it around four players in the arse end of nowhere. I have absolutely no idea what position he actually plays either. I don't think he'll ever start unless we're ravaged by injuries.

I like East but he's never going to be starting games when we have the likes of Smallwood, Pattison, McDonald, etc. Would have shipped Osadebe out if it were up to me tbh. Should be really good for Rochdale.
Some of Bradford fans on twitter having a right meltdown atm as if we've just nicked a superstar in his prime. Not a young lad who has played a handful of times in League 2!

That said, hope it works out for all parties and I'm looking forward to seeing him play.

Our fan base is very strange on Twitter, not a fair reflection of the majority of season ticket holders it’s like a chavvy cult on there. East looked dependable when he did play, nothing stand out but well enough to earn more time than he got.

He's a tidy player and has qualities that will aid in your promotion push, but as Wilsden said, our fans on Twitter are proper chavs for the most part.

He's a good player and I think he's better than National League standard. Hope it works out also.

Never a truer word spoken, after you beat us 3-2 you’d have thought you had just beaten Man City, Bradfords Twitter fanbase are the worst trolls in League 2 IMO.

Yeah. East is one of those players who gets mysteriously better each week when not playing for some reason.

He's tidy, but he doesn't affect anything at this level. I don't get the Twitter crowds love in with him. Wish him well, but he won't be missed.

Have to agree, City socials are full of absolute weapons - there’s no clear logic with them. The club can’t do anything right to please them. “What is going on at the club”, they’ll say.

East has started a handful of league games. He generally comes on 5 minutes towards the end and starts the odd JPT game. I don’t doubt he has potential, but if he can’t secure a regular starting place, what’s the point?

It wouldn’t surprise me if East himself requested the move. Foulds did exactly that and we approved his wishes - cue the club receiving pelters for “letting the best left-back in the league” leave on a free.

All this said, I wish East well.

You should have left the sentence "any Salford fans"?

Sounds like Anthony Hartigan is going out on loan, not mentioned what division but I reckon it could be a fellow L2 side.

Hartigan seemed like a top signing at the time, has it not worked out then Staggies? I'd have him here. Wondering if we're in for him with an outgoing potentially happening.

We paid a small fee for him, he played a few times and got injured with his shoulder and missed the rest of the season.

It’s more a case of getting him so game time than it not working out.

Better off asking Wimbledon fans but from what I remember he’s got a good pass on him, and set pieces.
We are desperate for someone like that plus a defensive midfielder as you will probably see tonight

Hartigan is more of a midfield passer rather than a midfield tackler.
Also not the quickest around the field.

Yeah and you struggle to see where he fits in a diamond, I presume in the role Reed is playing but you put Maris there before him.

Hartigan is a good player but competition is very high in midfield and with him being injured for so long getting game time elsewhere is a good idea.

Hartigan gone to Barnet, cracking signing for them, season long surprisingly.
