Highest turnover in L2; get outbid dramatically by Notts County. Don’t like this trying to be sustainable lark, need to just go mental and have a 10m wage budget.

Big wage budgets get you nothing! :bg:

New signing imminent! Got to be Waters or Miller I imagine.

Emmanuel Oyeleke sings from Aldershot, won their player of the year and is a midfielder, other than that... no idea!

Not quite Kristian Dennis but in reality Aldershot were only about 7 places below us and he was player of the season. Probably ok squad member

Elliott Whitehouse being linked with Grimsby and Mansfield. He's about Grimsby's level but Mansfield should be looking for better if they see themselves as promotion candidates.
A wild swing and a miss there from g_b. Nice try though, keep it up.

Looking into it he seemed very highly rated in the National League so may feature a bit more than we think, a midfield three of him, Joyce + Waters with Hanno and Wozza out wide?

Nathan Arnold is another departure via mutual consent. Been talk of him quitting football but would still be useful for a non league side of he wishes.

It was genuine, he's a decent mid-table player who might improve into something a little better. Surely Grimsby fans don't seriously think they're going to be challenging for promotion next season?

Brian Jensen has joined us as a goalkeeper coach. Good man to have around. Should never have got rid of him IMO

Sounds like a decent signing this does. Seems we’ve been watching him for a while. I expect a few more signings from the leagues below us. If he comes and is half as good as Hannant has been since January then he will do well for us.

Box to box midfielder who can attack and defend well. He can also cover at right back.

Ex Notts and Grimsby , Paul Bolland was a box to box midfielder.

I know what the term is meant to mean, but not sure it does in lower leagues

Promising signing, and another weak area covered. Weren't MK interested in him?

Not sure, got to be honest when it was announced I had a Wikipedia and am quite pleased with it delving further into it.

Had Rudge watching him for months and if he’s good enough for JR then that will do me!

A shame, but expected.

He's certainly spoken about what he planned on doing after 2018/19 and sounded as though he was going to stop after his contract here ended and go into teaching. Whether that's been brought forward now, only time will tell. Also seems as though his heart is set on raising mental health awareness, which is understandable given his troubles.

He'll certainly do a job at PT level, whether that's back at Alfreton or elsewhere but I also think he'd be an asset to any of the NL sides. He rarely travels too far from his family, so Chesterfield would seem a decent fit.

Ipswich and Gateshead. Two games he'll be remember for.

We had Oyeleke a couple of years back. Was raw back then but I liked him and glad he’s made it back into the league. Lots of energy and likes to run with ball, plus his full name is stupendous.

It’s odd isn’t it. Impression I get is that they genuinely think they’ll be up there. Could be wrong, but can’t see it myself - had an appalling squad last season and not convinced they’ll improve on it too much

The south will rise again!

To be fair, League Two was horrifically southern last time we were here, so it's nice to have a few northern sides to play. Seriously, the National League has about 13 in and around London next season - glad we've dodged that bullet.

Maybe Swindon would prefer that division? No, in fairness, I wouldn't wish that on anyone except MK Dons.

Any proof for these claims?

Notts County fans, can you just summarise with the words 'We're spending loads of cash, we're excited, Dennis and Hemmings, our chairman tweets a lot. Sven and Sol' so the rest of us don't have to scroll through pages of the same old shite?
