Racine and Clough are probably better than what we currently have, pity they still aren't with us, they were a really good defensive partnership.

Just think, if we still had Clough we might have as many points as Barnet.....oh.

Many coming up today?
You have the same bit of the ground as your last visit in March.

Dry, Sunny and mild here today if a bit breezy later on.
Hoping for another bumper crowd and our defender Sean Raggett getting a good send off in what will probably be his last home game for us, the million pound goal man.

Doubt it, long old way and we've already paid 23 quid for half a match the other day plus I think 95% of our support expect you lot to win today. Just get in our faces, play dirty and you'll easily win. Trouble is most of our fans see teams sitting back and letting us play as us dominating the game - _-

Not going either. Great observation on the perceived domination.

Another brilliant Eardley cross by the sounds of it. What a signing.

Gave it a go late but the shot count tells the story. still, without the soft second we'd have nicked something. Rooted to the bottom then.

Fantastic match that.

Thought FGR were a good team utterly hamstrung by their egotist manager screaming at them from the touchline over the slightest mistake. 3 or 4 times Cooper was picking a fight with his own team over little things, must be terrible for confidence, and you could tell the team weren't on board with him.

We just played pure cowleyball, Rhead in his number 10 role, dictating the play, popping up with two lovely finishes. The man is magic with the ball at his feat, absolutely not just a flick on and elbows merchant. Their keeper was excellent, and seemingly managed to not spit at anyone after the game which is very good of him

Atmosphere was excellent throughout, you cannot understate how much the Lincoln crowd despise Cooper and his team.

We were well below our best today. We were against Stevenage, too, with the illness thing but it looked like it caught up with us today and looked dead on our feet for the final 15 minutes. Even the normally reliable Woodyard was struggling, likewise Bostwick and a few others but this was a typical Cowley performance when the team aren't playing well. Dig in, stay organised, do the basics well, make no mistakes and keep going.

Let's be right though, for all FGR's possession, they scored and Vickers made one save. Other than that, I can't think of another shot they had. Us on the other hand, or Matt Green in fact, could've had 5 had he not been under the weather and struggling to run.

The first goal was out of the blue before the game had even settled down. Initially, I thought it was bad defending but the more I think back to it, the more I think it's a hell of a cross from Eardley from the right. Behind the defence, in the 'corridor of uncertainly' and Rhead's at the back post to head home.

FGR's equaliser was well worked, but it looked like our two CB's collided momentarily, which gave Doige some room at the near post, which I'm sure Vickers will be disappointed with.

Our winner was their 'keeper playing it to Anderson, we were then 3 on 2, Anderson to Green who dummies and Rhead is free at the back post. The dead ball that led to the goal was as a result of another FGR mistake a few seconds earlier.

We'll certainly pick up nothing from the next three games (Luton, County, Mansfield) playing like that. Well off the pace. Even the things we're usually good at, we didn't seem to be doing well.

FGR weren't as bad as I thought they'd be. You can see there's a plan there, it's just that the players aren't good enough to do it. Too many errors and silly decisions. There's no point a winger/wing-back running 60 yards down the line to the edge of our box, to then turn out and play it 40 yards back to the full back. It was all very pretty, aside from silly mistakes, but didn't go anywhere. Too tippy tappy, too sideways, too backwards and too slow. You've got a really good player up top in Doige, who's movement was too good for the players he's playing with and when there was an opportunity to feed it into him, you didn't. He's done well to score 12(?) goals now this season. Or maybe the players are playing too safe because Cooper hangs them out to dry in his post match interviews and every time during the game someone did something wrong, he was shouting, pointing and throwing his arms all over the place with little, if any, encouragement. If you're going to make mistakes, like FGR are full of, why not make them trying to create something or passing the ball forward?

Their number 15 loved that. Sideways. Back. Back. Sideways. One of those players who trots around looking busy but doesn't actually do anything. Monthe(?) at the back did ok, as did Osbourne.

Cooper at the end, much like Steve Evans, straight onto the pitch refusing to shake anyone's hands, picking fights with a handful of our players and walking around like he had a keg of beer under each arm, really fired up. Likewise Scott Lindsay. Then it all kicked off with the players and staff in the middle of the pitch and that took a couple of minutes to settle down.

Scott Laird with egg on his face having been, in my opinion, hugely disrespectful about Matt Rhead's weight in the previous game and of course Cooper and the Cowleys don't like each other. That's quite clear. Had to chuckle yesterday because Cooper was asked about Cowley commenting how FGR only playing 45 minutes in the previous would be an advantage, to which Cooper replied, "Oh, he's a Sport Scientist now is he?". Well, 'Coops', both the Cowleys have degrees in Sport Science...

Seems like there was a bit of afters between FGR coaching staff and our fans after the game as well.

FGR-Lincoln is going to become the Brighton-Palace of the 21st century.

No.15 is Cooper's son. Your description of him fits. He makes a lot of running but creates very little.

I'm sick of the Coopers now. I wish they'd just clear off. Our club is a total shambles from top to bottom at the moment.

I didn't think I would see another side go down as easily as a Linda Lovelace movie after Accrington, but FGR run them close.

Pretty much entirely agree with Luke Imps post about the game, for all the FGR possession, they did little with it whereas we shot straight at the keeper time and time again from decent scoring situations. I reckon we will do very well to avoid defeat at a smarting Luton after today, but getting maximum points over Xmas has given us some breathing space should we lose a game or two.

It's all about how and who we replace Raggett with, 3-4 really good acquisitions and better strength in depth and we may still manage to keep around the top 7 places.

I'm struggling to understand how a 30 stone lump can arrive undetected to head in the opener :dk:

Sad day for the club, as I said before all Lincoln needed to do was sit back absorbe the pressure then counter, play ugly and we aren't interested. You lot were always going to win. I apologise for our thuggish management, I think it will be very sour for Cooper on Monday especially if wycombe score early!

Don't apologise for something you have no control over. It's Cooper et al who should do that, together with the man who employs them.

Mate of mine who got attacked then by their lot! Having seen the videos on social media of the incident involving Paul and what happened after the final whistle they've really shown themselves up
You wonder how much longer Cooper can last there?

Two things: Coops declining the handshake from the Cowleys and one of your coaches racing on to the pitch to remonstrate with Elliot Whitehouse about his timewasting. Cue shoving. Lovely stuff.

Cooper and son regularly abuse home fans who shout an opinion. Sooner we are rid of both, the better.

At the last game a lot of fans in the main stand shouted abuse at Charlie Cooper, which he heard and reacted to, in my opinion that was totally unfair as he had chosen a safe back pass instead of a risky forward one to a player being double marked. I agree with you about Monday, but suspect there will be no change at the club until the fans turn on Dale and he sees current events as damaging his "brand".
