Appears there was a little bit of “bover” at Notts station after the game.
I roll in at 5:30 after a 3-1 humberling at Shirebrook to Imps fighting with police?!?! It also looked like they had brought the river Trent in cans and dumped them on the platform.
Funny thing of the day was 2 Lincoln fans running for their train that left 15 minutes before. If you were the guy with the half shaven half mullet - well done mate, 100 meters in about 13 seconds in boots - not bad at all

Can't we focus on the positives , the great free kick, the superb finish from a full back , the unique slug celebration and Hawks scoring a decent goal and not celebrating against the yellowbellies that he used to pay for .... rumour has it he was underpaid and under appreciated . Just a rumour mind.

The next train was at 5.48 to Lincoln, an 8 carriage special!
We got the 6.23, two carriages and rammed...

And you guys are angels...
Cods in our match thread yet again, didnt bother going to Wales to see your defeat?
And normally the same ones, funny that #obbessed.
My post was clearly a joke, sorry we're so obbessed. Newport is quite far and I've been in Hull for a gig tonight so I have some excuses.

Mine was a joke too, but Davidimp doesn't have his BTEC in Bantz yet. That was established a while ago. I was at work this morning, so didn't go. I looked on trainline.com and there weren't any tickets available anywhere anyway because the Lincoln fans from all over the country had bought them all.

4 pages, Lincoln ( the saviours of lower league football T.M) must have lost. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Cowleys at this difficult time.

Give over, never a red. Players may as well start diving head first at another players feet to try and get them sent off. Thought the Mane one was 50/50 other week but the big difference here is Knotts foot isn't even high, about waist height.

Notts used the extra man well to their credit, especially after we equalised. Thought Terry had a very good game.

You realise who Derry managed before Cambridge right? Haha unbelievable to try and lecture Notts fans on Derry, he's the reason we're in this league (although alternatively he also the reason we weren't in league two a year earlier as well but still...)

It wasn't the height of it that was the problem - hence Grant not even getting a yellow for his late on.

What was the problem then!? Please explain. Your player dived head first to Knotts foot!?

Hawkridge has been good all season. He's the kind of 6/10 footballer every week. All sides need one

When he makes contact with Yates' head, he's got both feet off the ground and his studs showing. It'd be a red whichever part of Yates he connected with (although the kid is mad putting his head there).

Are we still talking about this game changing decision????! Very well, harsh imo. Yellow card much more likely , but with a chance of a red as its still waist high and reckless. League 2's hardest player , did indeed swoop down with his head into a challenge that many wouldn't of gone into with their feet. And this is why the Lincoln brute was sent off. If Yates is like a normal player, he goes into it with his feet at a similar height and the booking/sending off could go either way. But because he is the bravest of brave little soldiers he used his head , quit literally, and this act of stupidity, sorry I mean bravery earnt Notts a man advantage.

Once that was achieved and we opened the scoring, the game wasn't really in much doubt. Not all teams in L2 would be so comprehensive with a man advantage. Much improved performance compared to when an early man advantage happened against L2 struggglers Chesterfield earlier this season.

So in summary
Hard and brave
Harsh but reckless
Controlled and deserved

In front of a very impressive moneymaking gate.

Thanks for coming

Should add to this that I can see why people think it shouldn't be a red card, just that with the way the laws are written it's very hard to argue that it isn't, as I suspect you may find out at the appeal.

I wouldn't have been fuming if it had been a yellow or anything, I just don't think it was the absolute howling injustice that some Lincoln fans do.

Just watched it and I believe it could have been a yellow or a red. His foot isn't that high and the player does duck into the challenge but Knott has both feet off the floor, studs up and flies in. Don't think Lincoln can have too many complaints, especially after Mane the other week.

As soon as I saw it I said he'll be sent off, and having seen it back I've not changed my mind. It's a red, you can't put your studs up that high whether the opposing player puts their head in or not. It's dangerous. Says it all that Knott came out on his own at FT and apologised.

Shame though, cos' we were doing well up to that point. Should have been 2-0 up after 20 minutes with Green and Ginnelly's misses, and Raggett probably should have done better with his free header from the corner as well. Once we went down to ten men County managed the game very well and were clinical with their finishing. Stead and Forte were a constant menace up top and Hawkridge was fantastic from start to finish. I gladly applauded his goal and it was a shame a few idiots booed him, but he got the applause he deserved at the end. Decent atmosphere yesterday, the Kop is brilliant when it gets going.

As for us, I'm not too worried despite the back to back defeats. We're causing problems for every team we come up against but we just need to tweak a couple of things, i.e. Farman needs dropping and we need to sort out what we're doing up front. I thought Bostwick had a good game but Woodyard was easily our standout player, I thought he was exceptional - especially when we were a man down.

Indeed we're creating chances but aren't taking them especially when it's 0-0.
Do think we need to get more players in and around Green quicker too he's far isolated at times even before we went down to 10 men.

I thought that the chances you had were half ones really - Green would've done well to score from that angle and Ginnelly's was a very tough half volley with a player closing you down.

No doubt that you had the better of the opening 20 though, although I did think that the balance was starting to shift even before the red card. After that you showed us too much respect and sat off too much - Chesterfield and Accrington both caused us problems with ten men by continuing to press against a team that generally isn't that great on the ball.

Just looked on Lincoln's twitter from yesterday expecting to see how it was never a red card and Lincoln were unlucky etc but it's not, so I guess they now have an actual adult running it as opposed to the 12 year old pre pubescent tool that was running it last year?

I used to love reading though the match tweets if ever Lincoln had got a red card or a bad result, which admittedly last season was not very often.

FWIW, harsh sending off. 50/50 ball, and if the Lincoln lad didn't go in for it he would've got a bollocking from the Cowleys. Fact.

Another fact is the ref was unsure until a couple of County players made his mind up for him.

Weak minded lower league officials can easily be persuaded by mouthy footballers (all clubs have one or two minimum) and of course a good proportion of 7000+ fans politely asking for severe punishment for the high boot.

Bonus :)

Lecture obviously means something different up your way!

Yes I realise Derry used to manage yourselves.

Jorge Grant is too good for league two from what Ive heard. Shame he's only on loan, is it for the full season?

Actually cant wait for next week, It would be better if It was a closer game than recent times.... battering you 5-0 was good but Id prefer a proper derby day battle.
