Lost 1 0 at home to wolves but played well. Crowd just under 3000. We desperately need a striker, feel that will be the story of this season. All huff and puff

Drew 1-1 at Wimbledon. Not a terrible scoreline against a side that will be among the favourites to get out of league two next season, but still concerned that the squad is pretty much only comprised of some promising youth, a few experienced pros and a only a handful of talented players with something to prove. We definitely need some more players of a proven quality in this league, in particular a striker and another defender or two.
I wouldn't have us amongst the favourites, what make you say that ? We must have gone well.

A little research and it seems you aren't, but you've made some solid signings.

Beat Nantwich 4-1. Harry Davis, Lauri Dalla Valle, George Cooper and Callum Saunders scored. Not great viewing, struggled and Nantwich more than matched us for most of the game. Scoreline flattered us. But, not worth reading too much into things.

Really think Sam Grimshaw is worth a deal. Can't be wanting too much wages, a year with the option of a 2nd is worth it I think. Especially if they were planning on adding Greg Leigh permanently and are now apparently targeting a loan option.

Kidsgrove on Wednesday and Altrincham on Friday next up now.

4 wins out of 4, 16 goals scored and only let 3 in. Hand us the trophy now.

Please ignore the fact the best team weve played play 4 leagues below us.

Strangely playing Notts County at home (usually the lower division side is at home?) doubt be much interest but looking forward to La Liga side Getafe at home Saturday! Something a little different!

It's more of a test than the three sides we've faced so far. Getafe will be a bigger test, as will Bolton.

Getafe could destroy us, image they are very good technically and generally the foreign sides are much more ruthless in friendlies!

Uche will bully them, Andoh will run rings around them and AJ will terrorise them.....

First 'proper' friendly tonight - Hull at home. Some people like these sort of games - I can't be arsed myself. If it was free maybe, but paying to watch a glorified practice session always seems weirid to me.

Looks like our friendly on the 2nd August against Liverpool is a 14.5K sell out which is amazing considering we have no idea of the standard of side Liverpool will be bringing , a welcome boost to the coffers at £15 a ticket.

We have our second friendly against Portsmouth tonight. Lameiras is still with us and should he do well tonight, I'd expect we'll offer him a contract. We were gonna have a few more trialists but it turns out their old clubs would want compensation for them and Mowbray doesn't want to pay money on players that he's taking gambles on.

The search for attacking options goes on.

Doubt it. We've played Rayo Vallecano and Osasuna in the last couple of years and, whilst they were both obviously good technically, they spent most of the game just passing the ball around at a walking pace.

We beat Blackburn today behind close doors. 3-2 Cooper 2, Inman with the goals.

Thats 5 wins out of 5. Kidsgrove away tommorow, likely be fringe/youth players though.

Neal injured, two goals ruled out and sounds like Uche and Andoh are playing very well so far. Andoh could be a big player for us this season.

Drawing 1-1 with Forest, decent game so far, we've created a fair few chances but have to say Chris Burkes goal for Forest was class

Just beat Hartlepool 4-0 away with Madden scoring a hat-trick and Luke Williams scoring a free-kick.

We're playing a 3-5-2 this pre season and it's working well so far.

Lost 2-1 in the end. Desperately need strikers/wingers but we'll have them in by Oxford next saturday imo. George Thomas scored ours with a decent finish apparently.

2-1, Bromley pulled one back late on.
Dack's was a stunner by all accounts. Had the assist for Williamson too. Expecting big things from him this year.

We beat Blackburn 2-1 this evening (Henderson x 2).

Presumably they have a biggish squad...
