My Stockport title bet sure is looking good so far but it's very early days. The bookies offering me 3X my stake as a cash out now.

Wrexham or Mansfield should run them very close and could easily finish above them

Although Mansfield Top 3 is my best looking bet offering 4X my stake.

They did a good job of it on quest.

By and large ITV do sport really, really badly.

Like if a games on both the BBC and ITV like who actually watches it on ITV?

There’s a section of society that refuses to watch BBC because they think they’re making a point.

Stockport County.
I have to say, when I saw what subs Stockport County brought on yesterday, it made me feel physically ill.

How can a League Two, that is already missing the likes of Stretton, Hippolyte and Rydel still name a strong starting XI AND bring on Knoyle, Camps, Madden, Touray and Nick freaking Powell.

If they don't win the league and break the 100 point barrier, I'll be shocked. Just a ridiculously good and deep team with quality in every position.
Don't forget Louie Barry injury who was arguably the best player in the league until his injury at your place a few weeks back which will keep him out for 4 months.Sarcevic off with a shoulder injury, DC hoping it's not too bad.

I think we may look to strengthen in January in one or two areas.

The word I was looking for was custodian and not caretaker, but I couldn't remember it when I posted my comment and wanted to watch the Festival of Remembrance on the telly. My problem is that I now view Dale Vince as a parasite and I'm really worried what will happen to his host (ie: our club) when he has finished with it.

He was very difficult to work with when he first joined the board, according to people I know who were on it at the time. Threatened to walk away and leave the club to sink if he didn’t get things the way he wanted. Didn’t take long until he became chairman and then drove a few very decent people away from the club. I recognise he has done a lot for the club, but it’s mainly been done for his own ends more than anything, i’m not sure he’s built a solid foundation and I highly doubt he sees it as in any way belonging to the fans. More likely as a necessary inconvenience/customer base to his advertising vehicle.

An excellent win for us yesterday and one of our sweetest in a long time. Not one of our players gave anything less than 100% yesterday. They were excellent and should be proud of that performance.

You could tell both sides were short of bodies and it certainly would've been a different game at full strength but to win that game with Williams, Nevitt, Long, Powell, Tabiner and Holicek all missing plus Tracey, Rowe and Demetriou playing with knocks and CBR and Thomas only just coming back to full fitness just shows what an incredible result that was.

We certainly had the better chances in the game. For all of Notts possession I dont think they did much at all in the final third and Davies rarely look troubled but did excellently when called upon. We certainly created the better opportunities, especially CBR missing that sitter in the first half then him and Tracey missing two decent chances at the same end. We also almost lobbed Slocombe (who I can't believe is still an EFL keeper after looking poor for Scunthorpe 11 years ago) just before the penalty too. Penalty was a clear as day handball and ref was entitled to stop play when his unfortunate injury happened.

You could tell Notts were missing key midfielders yesterday. I felt McGoldrick and Langstaff were isolated and they lacked creativity in the middle. McGoldrick ended up spending most the game dropping deep and operating in midfield which negated his obvious threat somewhat. But they play excellent football other than that, I'd certainly say after Stockport and Mansfield they were the best team I've seen this season and will finish Top 7 this season for sure. I dont think they'll go up this season but, if that's the case, they'll certainly be contenders next season.
Pretty fair assessment. We had one clear cut chance all game, not enough, Tracy clearly playing with a knock did well to last the hour.

Twas his own fault for throwing himself to the floor in the hope of getting a pen - not that you needed one.

I've always wondered what his reaction would be if the fans turned on him, which would probably have happened at just about any other club in the country by now, although I suspect there is part of his character that craves attention and he would just lap it up and see it as positive...if he is getting attention then he must be doing something right, even if it is negative.

Like I said two weeks back, the most deluded fan base out there are Notts. Scary amount of them genuinely believe we were paying refs for penalties last season. Imagine fuming this much about a decision, that is 100% the right one, so that the police have to come onto the pitch. Read countless posts on here and twitter about the amount of time between the hand ball and decision given. It is like 2 seconds? hahaha Oh dear...

He loves attention. Good or bad. That’s why he keeps doing the rounds on places like Talk TV or even GB News, he knows full well he won’t be allowed to win arguments and only get negative feedback from that lot but still seems to relish the spotlight. Even went on Farage’s show.

I would agree with that tbh.

He did the same at Crewe, as soon as he gets wrong side he thinks he should go down when he really should just keep going as he's broken free. Really doesn't need to go down in those situations.

I'm just hoping jacobncfc didn't reach the fall asleep pissed stage before his train stop last night and got home safe. Top man.

I’m aliiiiiive. Dangerous place that Belgian bar in Crewe town centre I tell you.

What an absolute bin fire that was then. I still don’t like the penalty and if I was in charge that simply wouldn’t be one, but cold light of day I can see why he’s given it.

I imagine both sets of clubs are going to be in a fair bit or trouble about what happened at the end. I don’t know whether anyone actually did anything to the linesman, if so they’re obviously a dickhead and need banning, the massive delay was basically because he was refusing to come back and linesman in front of loads of people calling him a cheat. On the other side there was a pitch invasion and all sorts getting lobbed over the segregation from both sets, all very unbecoming.

I would say the whole set up at Crewe needs looking at, it’s not very often I’ve felt unsafe at a football match but yesterday was pretty close. The stand can’t cope with those numbers - I don’t think it was even quite sold out but I ended up stood on some stairs with my 70 year-old dad and a poor kid who couldn’t see anything because there was no space anywhere. The bit behind the stand was horrible at half time, particularly around the bar bits and coming down those stairs. Police operation was like a Belgrade derby as well, the first train back to Nottingham wasn’t until 7:10 after the game but they were adamant no one was going anywhere other than the station and that ‘every pub in Crewe is closed’. We snuck round in the end, walked into town and had a pint and a chat with some sound Crewe fans in a pub that clearly hadn’t got the memo.

That’s just bollocks, there’s not a stand full of pissed up away fans in the country who would have taken that decision on the chin, regardless of the rights or wrongs of it.

We’ve definitely got more nobheads following us nowadays, but none more than what have followed the likes of Grimsby and Mansfield (and you I dare say) for years.

This wave of new Wrexham fans sure come out with some interesting statements and strong opinions. It's certainly proving entertaining. Waiting for the next doozy.

And Grimsby, Wrexham and I'm sure there is another claim. And of course Wrexham and Mansfield are infatuated with us. Grimsby and Mansfield have been infatuated with each other at times, Stockport and Wrexham have shown examples recently too. Then there are club finances , away attendances. Lots of infatuation, sounds just like an internet football forum.

Adam's clearly not the brightest but great enthusiasm.

The best one is Sky Sports News having a pundit in the studio giving updates on an England (or other home nations) World Cup game. Who the fuck is watching Sky Sports News when that's on?

Definitely one of the better matches this season but it was no different to the better matches under Hurst for me. No radically different approach, more just a continuation of what he'd been doing.

Still, a much needed boost of positivity and decent performances from players that needed it such as Glennon (ridiculous suicide ball aside), Andrews and Pyke mainly. Cartwright also looks to be a much better option than Eastwood and growing in confidence.

Rodgers is an odd one, looks very accomplished in the way he deals with some attacks but then utterly hopeless at other times. We definitely need to bring in a starting CB in Jan to challenge him, for me. He's not yet fully clicked with Maher.

The Green/Conteh thing is interesting too, both players essentially doing the same job in very different ways. I don't think many saw Green coming in and keeping Conteh out the side but on yesterday's evidence it arguably should be the case.

That was our cup final against Morecambe today apparently according to Derek. :bl:

Although staggeringly he admitted that we were the better team and deserved to win which must be an absolute first for him.
Haha yeah what an utterly ridiculous statement that was. Add him to the list. Plenty of people seem to have said that about us over the last few seasons.

Is that true sweetheart?

My attempts at being patronising have to be better than your ability to have any self awareness. There is blinkered and then there is just blind as you perfectly demonstrated earlier today.
