MK will definitely be up there, I think the opening fixtures will serve Wrexham and County well in the long term. The hardest thing will be coping defensively because it’s a better step up than people believe.

It can be difficult to get going, Stockport struggled a bit last season at the start.
Stockport were 3-0 down after 30 mins at home in the 1st game last season (against us), and struggled for results until October, if Wrexham and Notts are good enough then they'll come good eventually.

To Barrow? Oh the ignominy.

Tbf your boys were superb that first half, perhaps the best to come to EP. Obviously you'll know more than me about if you ever managed to play like that again, or if you only saved it for us (aka Grimsby Syndrome)

Stockport County.
Pete Wild's teams in the first few months of any season are always game raising little oiks. He gets so pumped up for a new season, his teams are the equal of doing a Marathon and running full pelt for the first Kilometre. He was at it again on Saturday wasn't he?

Calm Peter it's one game

Fair play to him, if he wanted to find a way to single handedly boil my piss, these celebrations even against teams that aren't my own are exactly that. And of course the casual fans loving "the passion"

He did it probably after every win last season, I'm not arsed either way but I do enjoy the boiled piss on twitter. It's all Klopp's fault, I noticed the Blackpool manager was doing it as well.

I did laugh when he did it at home to Crawley at the end of last season though. It was a win that merited as much recognition as an opening batsman hitting a boundary; a ripple of applause.

LOL. We stuffed Plymouth 5-1, Luton 3-0 and won away at a Prem team midweek last season. Safe to say neither of our Stockport victories were in the running for our best performance.

Same with the win at BP the season before. Would have been a clean sweep of fairly standard Hursty wins had DC not put the call in at your place in 21/22.

Perhaps I should have qualified that by saying you're a cup-focused side

The FA Cup, and the two cup finals against us

So we have cup finals against Stockport, Donny and Mansfield now. Any else fancy adding themselves to this list?
