Thought the stadium situation was sorted after your return from Sixfields.

Signed a 2 year contract with the option for another 2 year on our return, we've triggered the optional 2 so have this season and the following one before our deal is up.

At the moment Wasps Rugby club who are now are landlords are refusing discussions with regards to extending our contract.

And for good measure the local council have just given away our academy facilities to Wasps rugby club as Wasps needed a permanent training ground.

For a club with no ground, a transfer budget of £18.90 ,and now no academy, to take over 2000 is a dam fine effort

Swindon must be counting their lucky stars that they got to play us first game.

First half our comical defending was only matched by Coventry's comical attempts at finishing. Could easily have been 2 or 3 down.

2nd half we were a lot better going forward with Brophy instigating all our good moments.

What the fuck Vigouroux was doing winding up the Coventry fans I have no idea.

Typical L1 useless fuck of a ref - Nathan Thompson lucky not to be red carded and Sordell very lucky not to pick up a 2nd yellow.

All in all a replica of our performances from last season.

Pretty much agree with this.

Vigouroux was getting some stick from our fans so he shushed them when you scored, our fans cried because they're fucking stupid.

A decent striker and good wing-backs away from being a good team really.

Not a massive fan of the formation.

Coventry should have been ahead in the first half, poor defending gifting chances but matched by poor finishing.

However, goal aside, odd that the highlights stopped after about 30 mins.

We had a couple of half chances in the first half, Rodgers shooting just over (albeit the keeper had it covered), and another shot just wide.

The second half there were chances for both sides (well until Jones went off), with us having the best of them (Doughty clean through on the keeper only to let the defender get back & block his shot & Young hitting the bar).

I guess the Sky coverage got bored after 30 mins & went to the pub :)

Thank goodness all those chances fell to G.Thomas who went to pieces when given the opportunities. Again our defence handed out presents and we were very lucky not to be behind at half time. But we did have a couple of half chances, Obika just wide and Rodgers over. Second half Jodi Jones went off injured and that pretty much ended Cov's chances. Brophy started to rinse the right back and Conor Thomas should have scored but blasted over the bar 12 yards out with the goal gaping. Jordan Young fired a rasper against the bar and it looked like a goalless draw. Until finally we created a shooting opportunity and Kasim fired home.

Great numbers from Coventry but for me only Jones really impressed me. We look ok and with Norris and the Liverpool centre back and maybe a couple more signings we should be ok for a mid table finish this season. Coventry desperately need more players as well otherwise they could be in for a long season.
