Woking away for us - happy memories because the last time we played there we were promoted.
Although could have done with somewhere a bit closer to home maybe...

swap? Woking always feature WWFC rejects and the current squad is no exception with 3. Although of course they'd probably all score against us.

Sutton away has to be seen as a good draw (assuming we can beat Crewe) if only for the fact that given their tag as giant-killers, and lack of other eye-catching ties, we could well be on telly.

After being on so many times last season, it's been a bit weird with only the odd 30 secs on Channel 5 this season.

Plymouth away. Sheff United apart it could not have not been harder in terms of diffculty and its the furthest draw in terms of distance we could have got. An awful long way for a beating.

We need to negotiate Newport first though of course.

Sutton away is a great draw, which more than likely means Cheltenham beat us a week tomorrow.

Working on the 2nd round day so, unless it moves to the Sunday, being a selfish twat - good luck Cheltenham. Play like we did on Saturday against them again tho, they'll do us in easily next week.

Potentially Notts v Peterborough which is always a ding dong of a game.
Either way we are at home so that would probably be it for us this year IF we get past Boreham Wood at home!

Sutton v Crewe would be the Dario Gradi derby.....

Either Cheltenham or Crewe would make for an interesting tie. Being a selfish git I'm hoping for a Saturday game

Can't argue with the draws we've been handed - twice at home against opposition we should beat. Shame we're utter turd and can't beat an egg.

Happy with Rochdale/Maidstone at home, I'd probably prefer the latter but it'll most likely be Dale to progress. Either way it gives us a great chance to progress into Round 3.

Good draw for us - we've already played Yeovil at home in August and we somehow allowed them to equalise late on. A big, physical side who I thought would be doing far better this season so far. Great chance for us to progress.

Sod the glamour ties in R2 - its all about getting through to R3.

Are there actually glamour ties in round 2? I can't think of any team I'd consider glamour?

Bollocks Chesterfield away a ground we have never won at and since they moved we played there 4 times and lost all of them usually heavily. :ffs:

This is how close we came to having an away draw, only thanks to Jim Beglin's big Irish sausage-fingers did we end up with a home draw.

Disappointed to get Luton (if by some miracle we beat Solihull in the replay).

A tough game at a place no-one wants to go to.

Maidstone officially win the match report of the century award

The best bit is where he accuses Dover of double-standards over tapping up of players and ends up in a twitter argument with Dover's media guy.

Actually the Maidstone forum in general. They're a very angry bunch the Stones fans. Hope they beat Dale.

That was quite tense with us and Plymouth being 2 of the last 4 teams to be drawn and them getting drawn out at home I feared the worst but luckily it wasn't us who they got. Rochdale at home won't be so bad and if it's Maidstone then it should be a good un.

Also it just seemed in the draw that there were loads of southern teams and they were all getting drawn at home, so frustrating!

They have a tremendous sense of entitlement, despite having only been a Football League club fleetingly and even then they had to overspend to do it and bankrupted themselves the silly buggers. Dale was a bad draw for them apparently, despite it being the highest placed opposition they've EVER faced since re-incarnation over 20 years ago, and despite it being a home draw. Carlisle is a bad draw because Carlisle is simply too far away - one commenter on Facebook said he wasn't looking forward to a potential trip to Cumbria because 'it'll be too cold'. It's a game in December, course it'll be pissing cold.

If you listen to them (and living here, I'm often forced to), you'd think they were an old traditional Championship club fallen on hard times, rather than a club with less Football League pedigree than Rushden & Diamonds.

I keep getting told that they will be playing us 'soon'. Well, I've been following Gills since 1995 and they've not been close yet. As it is, I've been down to the Gallagher a few times when they first came back to the town and it was alright - had a couple of beers while a game of football broke out, but it seems the success of the last couple of years has inflated the egos of a lot of them.

I hope Rochdale smash them.

Crickey we were so convinced we would get our nemesis with us being in the last four to be called out. As Shoddy said we've both pleased to avoid each other.

Personally I prefer Alfreton to Newport because it is a new team for us. Key is we are home, though unfortunately I won't be able to go, but the Mrs has said she'll take the kids.

Did you have a camera in our house? That is exactly how we were feeling. Oh no not Carlisle again. Phew!

Yes I can imagine you'd be fearing coming all the way up here, however neither happened and the tension of the draw is all over, well for now......

Pretty much, especially when you were drawn at home I just 'knew' we would be the next ball out. Thankfully I was wrong.

Would have been a good shout to be televised though, after the replays there may be few stand out television games.

Hopefully we can avoid each other until the final.

I'd say if we do avoid someone like Plymouth then we've a good chance of making the final this time round. I know the league is more important like getting promotion, but it's always nice to win some silverware every now and then.

Big game tomorrow night vs Cheltenham. Weve not been in the 3rd round in ages and this represents a great chance for the winner of this game. We're struggling with injuries big time, Dagnall, Lowe, Bakayogo and Turton all out probably out. But we played pretty well at the weekend without them.

Got a feeling it's going to be a long night. Crewe 1-1 Cheltenham (Udoh, Waters) Cheltenham win on pens. 2,200 (150 Cheltenham)

Very routine for us tonight, never seen a non-league team look that half arsed in the cup. They were happy for us just to play keep ball at 1-0 for the last twenty minutes.

Managed to get through at the second attempt. Complete contrast to the first tie at Boreham Wood.
Worth watching just for the classy Collins strike at the end....
