I don’t think Rowe will go anywhere until he’s achieved something. He needs to get us out of this division. Once he’s done that then he will be off at the first better opportunity without a doubt.
It's mostly about the level of club that might come in, that goes for Rowe and Tshimanga.

If a big league one or championship club come in with 500k and really turn his head you will find it hard to say no as he will want to go, the less attractive the club to the player, the more money they will have to pay as Chesterfield will hold more cards.

As for Rowe, if he gets the chance of a job he fancies then he will go....That is much more likely to happen in the summer though.

The Grimsby fan comments that already starting to appear on Twitter re Cardwell are going to send Spire1866 into an absolute tailspin
Are they more or less rattled than the County fans? Considering you're still nibbling away i'm going to go for less. If it was Mcatee we were linked with however...

Have some breakfast ffs you have to be hungry with all this biting.

Haha Tshimanga… according to your reporter* he’s off to the championship buddy so I wouldn’t worry about him

*Funny that ‘Notts live’ reckon they have more information on Tshimanga apparently heading to the championship than our own local media:pond:
I agree that it would be out of character for the guys at the Nottingham Post to have any idea what goes on at a Championship club

Cardwell’s alright from what I’ve seen, bit of a lump, but a pretty bizarre signing when they’re supposed to have Denton back soon.

Who’s biting? You on Twitter massively, by the sounds of it.

Busy day ahead for you pal, thought you would just be spending it replying to Notts fans, but now you’re going to have to deal with GTFC as well. Fighting a war on two fronts!

We’re rattled on your behalf, Cardwell is one of the worst I’ve seen play in the football league and that’s some going. Obviously he could be good elsewhere at this level but it’s hard to get my head round I must admit

They're just signing him because they need a handsome person for the trophy photos come the end of the season.

Great replacement for Kabongo then. Give us the title now

No idea who that Sky Sports bloke is or how accurate he is.

I've seen him in the gym fairly regularly for the last 3 or 4 months so he's taking his time getting back to fitness, if he ever will do. Usually with Weston doing allsorts of conditioning stuff

Denton is finished, even when he gets himself back fit his body literally cannot withstand the physical demands Rowe expects in training and games so it’s just inevitable he goes and gets injured again. I really think we should put him on an alternate training programme if we realistically want to keep and use him… let’s face it all he will ever be able to do is win headers so why try and get him fit to press / run when he isn’t capable of it :dk:

Very strange response. Biting suggests i've been replying. Laughing? Yes? Replying? I'll bide my time on that one.
You've also literally made something up about Grimsby fans being arsed we sign someone from Chorley. That really is clutching.

Like I said, it's not too late for a bit of toast or something.

He once said Tony Mowbray was nailed on to take over as manager… only for Gary Caldwell to rock up a day later…

So I guess we will see what truth there is in it when Norcliffe gets wind of it

Due back end of Feb but I think he's done. Also recall O'Rourke getting one badly wrong a few years back so dunno if he's reliable at all.

I’ve just said as much to my mate - maybe spells the end for Dents.

No I’m not saying they’re arsed, I’m saying they’re laughing. As I’m sure you will soon spot for yourself when you manage to tear yourself away from the Notts comments, because you are literally coming across as someone who spends his whole day refreshing Twitter. Possibly in the back bedroom at his mum’s.

Stockport County.
Unfair to say Cardwell is a lump. I'd call him a jack of all trades master of none striker. Can do a bit of everything without being brilliant at one element. His first few games here he looked quality, by the end most people agreed he wasn't the answer hence why our main summer target was a striker like Quigley.

Not out of the realms of possibility that he'll do OK at Chesterfield IMO if they have some striker issues with Rowe being out for a while etc.

He is also very, very handsome as stated. One of the most handsome players that has ever played for us IMO.

Linked with Iboue Touray (Salford ) today.
If we sign the players we have been heavily linked with we will be looking good for the rest of the season.

Surely that'd be announced in the very near future if true, as he's off to AFCON.

I don't think he said we are arsed, more like laughing.

Though if that's the standard of striker that title contenders sign at this level I question why we still haven't found a decent one.

Well this thread has blown up a bit over the last day or so.
Notts county have no real rivals... they're trying to make us fierce rivals. Won't happen.

Here's a list of a few things I'm more bothered by than notts county.

Mansfield
Rotherham
Sheffield United
Sheffield Wednesday
Onions
What's your problem with onions?

Hard to say really as our default emotion/mood is rattled. McAtee won't be linked anywhere as I've figured out exactly what Hursty is doing. Make sure your team is the best in the division in the first 10 or so matches and then instruct them to go on a horrible slump thus ensuring all our players go under everyone's radar leading up to the January window meaning they're left out of any fake bidding wars. Throw in a scandal such as a young player getting caught drink driving at the start of the aforementioned horrible slump and not even the fans will suspect a thing. Genius.

Not a fan. Slimey horrible things. Onions I mean, not notts county.

I think considering he’s coming in as 3rd / 4th choice striker and squad player it isn’t exactly a bad signing and there won’t be any pressure on him at all. As the Stockport fan said he did alright for them last season and he’s probably only coming in to fill the gap left by Danny Rowe whilst he’s out with this illness.

He also seems to have been in good form for Chorley recently, think he’s got 4 in 4 and won their player of the month for December.
