In fairness, he looked superb Saturday and his loan spell at Shrewsbury last season was, by all accounts 'very impressive'.

Looks a talent.

His 1st ever loan spell was with us and it showed as he didn't look strong enough and often made the wrong choice. I suspect he learnt a lot from that (and the subsequent Shrewsbury loan) and coupled with developing physically he knows what to expect and how to deal with the physicality.

His best days must be past past him now though. That the problem I have with 30+ yo outfield players. Most go downhill quickly. Maybe he could have still done it in L1, but good luck to him. Sounds a good move to Setubal.

According to a newspaper report in Sweden, we have been linked with a Swedish forward Admir Bajrovic, 22. Swedish u21 international who scored 6 in 14 or so last season in the Swedish 2nd Division. Has started like the Ivo Pekalski transfer so could have legs.

Skarz likewise. Thompson and Aldred are poor. Edwards only just fit, so jury out on him, tho played centre mid at the weekend??? Played there once for Stevenage tho Clarke said he's played many times there for Coventry and Burton. Beckford is pretty decent but idol and easily shut out of a game.

Today we had ridiculous admission prices of £25 with a £2 increase on the day, all trains completely knackered and the Challenge Cup final on at exactly the same time. I think it's down to the situation. At the time of Taylor leaving I'd probably have imagined Taylor leaving would have been the bigger miss, simply because he was our top scorer. Now, however, I've changed my mind, Bodin has came back in better shape and looks like he could be on fire for a whole season, had that match winning ability and I'd also worry about who could take the mantle if he were to leave.
