Liverpool's possession was bulked up from passing backwards to the 'keeper and moving it around defence.

That sounds chillingly familiar...

liverpool fans salty as fuck in here  you sound like the deluded england fans in the euro match day threads from the summer. banging on about possession stats as if that means you were dominant. both teams created one genuinely good chance in 90 mins. mourinhos plan was to frustrate and it obviously worked given the meltdown above.

LVG was regularly shot down in flames but that was for playing pointless possession football with no end product a bit like Liverpool did last night, rather than effectively earning a decent point away from home against an in form rival.
But LVG earned 3 points away from home in the same fixture though...

LvG beat you every time in the league.

Yes, by playing more attacking football at Anfield than we saw yesterday. The point is, if last nights game had been under him, he would have been ridiculed for his dull, boring ways.

We're playing better under Mourinho and he's been here for two minutes. How shit were Liverpool when Klopp took over? He was nearing Roy's dismal record at one point.

What you saw from Mourinho last night is his style of football. Even when he struggled in his initial season Klopp didn't go to other grounds specifically set up to take a point away. There is a difference between that and it happening after a hard fought game. I guess it comes down to what you're happy with and perhaps we're spoilt now under Klopp in terms of entertaining football. We don't go to any ground looking for a point and I'm happy about that. Mourinho and United clearly do as proven last night. And it would appear you and others like Stevencc are equally happy with that. Super. We're all happy.

I can't remember a time under Ferguson where I wasn't happy with a draw at Anfield, and Fergie set up more conservatively than Mourinho did yesterday.

Seriously? Ok then. And as someone who watched tens of matches between Liverpool and United under Ferguson at Anfield both at the ground and on TV, no he didn't.

Besides, like I said in my first post after the final whistle, fair play to Mourinho he got what he came for. What we're discussing here is what that says about United and their forward direction, a direction I'm surprised you're happy with.

I'm happy with going away to an in form rival and getting a point when I expected to come away with nothing.

If we set up that way at home against you in January I won't be happy.

Considering we've been awful and you've been flying a three point gap is not bad. I'd rather be ahead but it's hardly an insurmountable gap.

But it's not so much the draw and the point you got that's under discussion, rather the manner in which it occurred. I'm simply surprised United fans don't seem bothered by it.

We'll have to wait until the reverse fixture happens and see the expectations and if they're satisfied with getting a point or not. Seems to me a good start to the season has induced that famous swagger and bravado from Liverpool fans, especially from Pagnell, where they're once again lording it over everyone else. Always ends in tears and Pags taking a break from posting.

Come on GB , you can do better than that. This is nothing to do with Liverpool being or not being dominant. Still, you got a fair few likes so it's not all lost.

Again you miss the point. It's not about being happy with a draw, it's about being happy setting up specifically for a draw. Would I be disappointed with a point at Old Trafford? Not really. Would I be disappointed if Klopp defended in numbers most of the game in order to get that point? Yes. Unlike you it seems.

I could start feigning devastation if it makes you feel better...

Well you must be disappointed with Klopp because you didn't set out to win yesterday. We closed you down in midfield and you ran away scared back to the 'keeper and constantly gave the ball away.

No, we did set out to win, we just played shit, partly thanks to the way United set up, I never said it wasn't effective.

We parked the bus in your half for the first 45. When was the setting out to win bit supposed to happen? Your lads were shitting themselves, doesn't seem like a winning mentality.

We had a shit game, its not rocket science. I'm not defending Liverpool's quality last night, we should have broken you down and we were bereft of ideas. But to imply the team or Klopp were happy with the result is stupid.

Nice deflection from the point in question though.

Women writing about women
"I think shoving kings into aces was a bad decision"

"But I hit a king on the flop!!"

"It was still a bad decision."

"Oh like you wouldn't take a king on the flop   "

That's basically the thread.
