Charlton away, tough game but with Harris now in the hot seat and off the back of a 4-0 win in the FA Cup I'm a bit more confident then I would have been a few weeks back.

Charlton not pulling up any trees and have a few injury problems. I'd take a point.
Don't underestimate them they are probably the best side down FP this season

No goals scored in 4 games,13 conceded so it's fair to say we are somewhat struggling at the moment. The Cobblers have clawed their way up the league and that's something we need to try and do
I think a draw would be very welcome today, to keep a clean sheet would mean Christmas is coming early but I am not holding my breath.....

Fleetwood at home, a good chance to keep distancing ourselves from the bottom 4. Filthy, filthy day.

We’ve decided the way to end our run is start with no strikers at all!

Blaster back is a boost but still no Devine big game for Walter’s, immense in the cups but this is a big step for him.

Two youths on the bench due to injury mind.

Its OK, we don't have any strikers either. Wildschut and Aitchison are attacking midfielders really. I presume Diabate is injured.

Looks like the Harris hoodoo over us is set to continue.

Just sick a little bit in my mouth looking at our line-up, especially the defence.

Sounds like we’ve put in a really poor performance and a lot of unhappy fans at that but we lead, I’ve been told so far it’s been a competition as to who can be the shittest!

Its garbage but at least you showed intent at a corner so on that basis deserve it.

Conditions are poor in fairness but look like 2 poor teams. Exeter look worse than us if that's possible! We've been the better team since we scored and could have extended the lead but for a couple of poor passes.

Shrews have done their homework, they know that we can't score from open play for shit, so have just chucked everyone behind the ball and played on the counter-attack.

Meanwhile we've dominated possession but created nothing clear-cut, then they score a very good long-ranger against the run of play.

The thing is, we don't generally come back once we're behind, so if anything they'll probably be even *more* defensive in the second half.

Need that second goal as we all know what happens if we don’t!

Massive win, regardless of performance, was three months in the making and hopefully something we can build on now.

More injuries and two youth team EFL debutantes today, sounds like Dipepa did very well when he came on!

Proper el Crapico but the result is massive.

Thank fuck for that. We finally played a team that were worse than us in an attacking sense! I know they've got a lot of injuries but we were dreadful really and won. In fact, it's one of our worst performances in the past few games. Just relieved to finally get 3 points.

Standard 3 points in the end. Carlisle have overtaken Shrewsbury as the worst side we've played at home. Credit to their away fans for travelling in numbers . I bet you are glad you didn't get more tickets now . How long has Simpson got?

Get in 2 down with 3 minutes to go now 2-2. Totally deserved draw that, absolutely bossed the first half.

0-0 at Wigan. Would have taken a point prior to kick off. Conditions terrible, but a game we just about edged. Very few chances, Wigan did score 5 mins from the end, but fouled our keeper. A very forgetful game, but a vital point to keep us going.

Seems some teams at the bottom can't stop losing- Carlisle, Fleetwood, Reading, Exeter. Cheltenham managing to get a few points, big win for Port Vale.

Another great away win!

Taylor Perry with a great strike for the winner. Matt Taylor just keeps somehow getting us picking up points here and there and with what we have available at present, is very impressive indeed. Definitely growing on the whole fanbase now. Wycombe were diabolical. Just hit and hope into the box, never really once thought they would equalise.

Bring on table toppers Pompey next!

Up to 12th, getting lightheaded! Two great finishes from Mitch Pinnock. Fast becoming the best Cobblers team since 2008.
Fleetwood lacking in service for their top strikers and all over the place defensively, apart from that they weren't bad.

Absolutely massive opportunity for Pompey to make a statement of intent on Monday now. Win, and we go six clear of them and Stevenage, with a game in hand on the latter. Our December fixtures look quite kind as well, so would be hoping to pick up at least 10 points from the remaining four.

No issues with the draw, we should have been dead and buried at half time but annoying that again been robbed of 2 points by the officials.

At the end of the day though, we are shit.

I will always take a point away from home in this division. Just need to back it up with home wins, starting next week against Orient.

That could have been 5 or 6. I was a bit annoyed at 2-0 as we kept spurning chances to make the game safe but eventually we got the 3rd. Top half of the table, look a pretty good bet to still be playing League 1 football next year at this rate.

Jon Brady is doing a superb superb job in the dug out at Sixfields, most of the same team but he’s getting a hell of a tune out of them.

Fleetwood were like the key stone cops at the back but in the final third they looked ok, without creating much. Happy days.

I agree that we never looked like equalising, but you have to admit your style is pure grindball, just playing for the 1-0 with no serious attacking intent. It's been the natural Shrewsbury style of late, it's what Cotterill did, it's what you do now.

Anyway, you won fair and square with a goal against the run of play, so we move on. You also won the battle of the old boys since Pierre was MotM.

Our lack of quality in both boxes against the leagues bigger sides costing us again, after 5mins Theo Archibald has a superb chance to give us the lead and doesn't take it.

First half we played well I thought and managed to keep Derby at bay and put them under pressure, one moment of quality from Louis Sibley and Kane Wilson unlocked us though and we find ourselves losing again, after not taking our chances.

The sending off basically ends the game for us, at the time I wasn't sure it looked like a coming together. In Matt Harrolds post match interview he said it was a red card, so ultimately thats cost us the game.

Second half Derby killed the game early, we had a goal chalked off from what looked a tight off side call, the third goal sums us up nicely right now, conceding from our own corner having thrown everyone forward and it nearly happened again.

Derby clearly a better side than us in terms of ability, but we managed to give them a game in the first until the sending off, after which it turned into damage limitation.

I keep saying this every single week - We have to score first to stand a chance of getting something out of a game. Right now we're finding it hard scoring goals.

Good win for us today, started in the worst possible fashion going 1-0 down to a rebound off a saved penalty inside the opening 10 minutes, seemed a bit soft to me. Great reaction once we adapted to the windy conditions, managed to get a leveller before the break. I was expecting the flag to go up but thankfully it didn't and Hemmings was on hand to tap it home.

Second half was more of the same in the most part, managed to take the lead through a penalty of our own early and I felt very comfortable until the last 15 or so minutes when Burton pressed for a leveller, they came close on one occasion but otherwise never overly threatened.
