If you'd offered it at the start would have gladly taken a point at Southend however once again we've had the opportunity to claim the three points and failed to see the game out. By the sounds of it though Southend can consider themselves perhaps a little fortunate.

More injuries again today though, getting ridiculous now.

Yeah shame but a decent set of games on paper coming up that will define our destiny.

Our result today against an absolutely bobbins side sums us up today. Colkett and Ajose out injured and it cost us.

Shambles again and not nearly good enough after 2 wins on the spin. Back to being feeble and spineless by the sounds of it.

Looking bleak for us now, pretty sure we'll be in that bottom four come the end of the season.

No wins in 8, 4 defeats on the trot (last three against Bury, Shrewsbury and Northampton - all relegation rivals), manager slagging players off in the week, captain admitting that a lot of the players don't care enough.

Another performance lacking guts and commitment once again today. Can't defend at all, just absolutely pathetic.

Next 7 fixtures:

Scunthorpe (H)
Walsall (H)
Bradford (H)
Sheff Utd (A)
Mk Dons (H)
Peterborough (A)
Southend (H)

As it is currently, the spineless bunch of wankers in our side can hope for a couple of draws against that lot at the very most.

Yeah, doesn't look good at all.

Strange as you were the best side I've seen this season both times I saw you. Panned us twice.

Yep, we've just fallen apart in devastating fashion.

From all the comments in the past week, it sounds like Robinson has completely lost the dressing room. He was pretty scathing on Tuesday night saying at least 40% of the players don't care about winning games (Which captain Johnnie Jackson agreed with in his interview) and he's looking forward to the end of the season to get rid of all the 'dead wood'.

No surprise when your team is built on loans and cheap rubbish on one-year deals.

Not only have we got a side of below-average players, but unmotivated, disinterested below-average players.

Charlton were terrible today. We kept the two wingers quiet and there was nothing else that they had to trouble us. Was expecting a bit of hanging on at the end but there was no concerted pressure on our goal and it was a very comfortable win. We've got Wimbledon and Vale next, couple of positive results and we can breathe a lot easier.

Tough set of fixtures but theres no chance charlton will go down as they have the players beat any team in this league whereas teams like vale coventry chesterfield swindon struggle beat anyone.

I was hoping our last 2 consecutive wins would see us kick on but a lame defeat at home to Chesterfield today mean that our game away to Vale next week is massive.

We havent won since december 30th and pretty much always lose against swindon so id be surprised if its not an away win or a score draw.

Match stats make it seem like Swindon battered them and lost. Seems to happen a lot.

Stats me hairy arse. Fucking woeful. I was enticed back, against my better judgement, on the back of a handful of improved performances.

And what did I get? More of the same limp-wristed cack. Fuck 'em. I've been through many seasons where we've been crap, but never have I felt the future holds even worse.

Winning games isn't the priority at STFC - we are just a vehicle for Power to make a few quid until he sucks us drier than a nun's chuff.

Possibly but a perfect away performance today by the sounds of it.

We'll probably see you next season in league 2.
We're absolutely down, the fat lady is doing her warm ups, but I think you should do enough to stop up

The thing is, we don't.

We've won the same number of games as Swindon and only one more than Vale and Chesterfield. In fact there are only three teams that have won fewer. We were only clear of relegation as we drew enough games, now those draws are turning into defeats we're in big trouble. Teams around the bottom are now beginning to pick up points whilst we are in free fall and showing no signs of halting it.

Could very well be.

well my first wish has come true, Russell Slade has just been sacked .
Now the fourth bloke to have a go this season.
Blimey what's next, rumours are its Sam Ricketts till end of season, poor bloke was our captain last season and retired this and has been taking the U23 who I think are top of their league but by god, he's going to have a relegation within his first twelve games as a manager
Thank the lord we don't have to watch hoofball anymore, I was dreading other people watching Slades tactics on the hallowed turf, we would have been a laughing stock.
Watch out Oxford we are due a new manager bounce sometime as the first three didn't have one at all

Not sure why quite a few of the Charlton fans were giving their keeper so much stick after we scored our fast. Keeper stood no chance but they laid into him massively. Charlton were not great but think there are 4 worse teams in the league so think they will be fine, as I think we will be just about.

He's been pretty poor lately, but I agree tearing into him seems a bit harsh.

Problem is, with all the ownership issues and now tumbling down the table at the rate of knots it's just toxic at the moment so it's just fans venting anger/frustration. Karl Robinson's comments about players we have from the premier league and championship etc not caring about playing for Charlton certainly wouldn't have helped. Naturally, when we're playing so poorly they are now going to come in for the most criticism.

I am not sure whether Robinson's natural inclination to mouth off helps much. He must believe that it will provoke a positive reaction from the players but if the last year's results at MK and Charlton are anything to go by, he is sadly mistaken.

In our case, we are not sure yet whether Pennock is up to the job on a permanent basis but he mostly keeps his critical comments mild and looks to praise the players when given any small opportunity to do so. At the moment it seems to work to some extent but without any consistency which is why we are still likely to go down.

I've no idea what Robinson goes on about, not sure he does either.

Lose to Shrewsbury on Tuesday night and he lambasts the players for not caring and he's looking forward to the day he can get rid of them. 4 days later we lose at Northampton and it's 'All the players are hurting in there'. What is it Karl?

The more I think about it, the more I think we'll be ok. I think 2/3 more wins should see us safe I just can't see them coming this month which could leave us in deep trouble.

Big win for us last night if not entirely convincing.

No surprise that Captain Fantastic steps up to the plate for us once again with a good goal. After watching the highlights, Scunthorpe could easily have had a few more goals as our defence looked to be cut open at will as usual and another clanger from Rudd.

Still a lot of work needed and with defending like that, we will lose a lot more than we win but at this stage just getting the three points is perfectly fine.

Much needed win to try and stop this slump we're in, need to follow-up with a good performance against Walsall to really get a bit of momentum going. Another defeat with our run-in then it makes the win last night almost meaningless.

We appoint a new manager and get fucking worse. Barely believable really. Caldwell could well be clueless.

Chesterfield barely had any interest in attacking us and we casually passed the ball around backwards and sideways before eventually making a bad decision and either losing the ball or having a terrible shot.

Absolutely one of the worst games I've ever seen, more like a pre season friendly given the lack of urgency.

Make no mistake we got what we deserved for another appaling display.

Saturday is a must win or I can't see us staying up which is a shitter considering it could potentially be Swindon, Oxford, Bristol Rovers and Bristol City in the same division next year. Still, wouldn't fancy losing 18 points to the above clubs so every cloud.
