Glad Ogogo got beat, believed his own hype too much and is more interested in being a celebrity than a boxer. He's lucky really because had it not been in London he would have never won a bronze, he was knocked about by Khytrov but got gifted a decision. The best thing for him to do now would probably be to get as much money out of Im a celeb etc because he looks too weak to ever make it big as a professional.

Gavin v Eggington was a lot better fight than I expected. Frankie Gavin is such a waste though, if he had the willpower to live the life and get himself in shape he could have gone very far with his skills. Should have been at 140 all his career but seems too lazy.

Josh Taylor I was very impressed with, he definetly looks like he could get to the top, them body shots were vicious. I hope they do progress him quickly, it does my head in when talented fighters spend a few years knocking over journeymen just to pad their record.

Selby impressive once again, he looks like he'll be moved quickly aswell, more down to the fact that nobody wants to fight him it seems. He looks like he's made the transition from the amateurs well, WSB will no doubt have helped, more top amateurs should probably do this rather than jumping straight into the pros in my opinion.

On a positive note if it Price and on PPV, then the undercard will have to be outstanding

Joshua v Molina confirmed for December 10. Certainly a step up for AJ but we all know how it will end.

Whyte v Chisora on the undercard aswell. The build up should be entertaining enough and then probably a decent scrap as neither have the biggest amount of power but both will bring it I reckon.

Just watching Ortiz v Scott and that's got to be up there with one of the dullest fights i've ever watched. Malik Scott shows absolutely no desire to win at all and has got to be one of the most mentally weak fighters out there. Ortiz didn't impress me either tonight, he looked slow, struggled to get his shots off as his footwork wasn't good enough, he seems to need to set his feet to get any kind of combinations off. He's wide open to a counter aswell, if you can make him miss then he's there to be hit.

Absolutely fucking garbage fight. This Smith Sosa fight has been good so far, can't see Smith lasting much longer though.

Ortiz didn't impress at all which has backfired on Hearn, he wanted to paint Ortiz as this KO artist who was unbeatable. He looked like a slow, lumbering plodder against someone who actually moves and doesn't just stand there and let you blast them out. Someone like Fury at his best would school him easily. Ortiz v Joshua would still be a good one as they both just stand in front and let their hands go. After tonight, I see AJ's speed being way too much for Ortiz if they ever fight.

Brilliant fight, showing the heavyweights how it's done. Smith did well but Sosa too strong. Looking forward to Kovalev v Ward next week, guaranteed I will fall asleep just as they get in the ring though.

There's not many fights I'll get up in the middle of the night for but this is definitely one. Absolutely unmissable.

Why isn't Kovalev vs Ward a bigger deal? Both on zero losses with big reputations and different styles. Should make for a great fight yet its not being that heavily promoted and isn't even on box office... Is there a specific reason or is there just little interest?

Yeah, shame really. Other than the boxing purists, no one seems to be that bothered with it. It's an absolutely mammoth fight though, I just hope Ward beats the racist and homophobic twat.

In the whole, there's not much interest in this country unless there's a British fighter involved sadly.

Biggest fight of the year by a mile, problem is most of the AJ/Hearn/Sky casual brigade will never have even heard of Kovalev. And they probably only vaguely know Ward because he fought Froch. There's just not the interest there that there was with the May/Pac one probably because neither of these guys are flashy on social media.

Ward is a genius, it's a shame he was inactive for so long but I guess he'd already cleaned out the division. His best wins were quite a few years ago now though and he hasn't really fought anyone of note since his return but overall his CV is far superior to Kovalev's. I think Ward will edge it as he is the more adaptable of the 2, he is a true boxer and a great inside fighter, though a lot of what he does on the inside are fouls but he's very clever and straight from the BHop school. If he is strong enough to impose himself and instigate clinches then it could be easy work for him to spoil and rack up the rounds. But Ward has shown in the past that he can be dropped and he will never have been hit anywhere near as hard as Kovalev can hit. Overall I just think Ward is too crafty and he will find a way to win but I don't see a great spectacle.

I expect Ward to win on points, wouldn't put it past a late stoppage though.

Kovalev is a monster and is good at cutting the ring off but still can't see him getting much out of it.

Ward gets it, had Kovalev by a few points to be honest. Sets up a rematch though I guess.

Guardian had Kovalev up by 3... That's a bug swing to a Ward UD

I had it 115-114 to Kovalev although two or three of the rounds were pure guesswork really. Kovalev landed the cleaner punches but Ward had plenty of joy on the inside.

I had it the same as the judges. For me after a brilliant start including a knockdown Kovalev didn't capitalise on it and in the mid to late rounds Ward was the one landing the cleaner shots. Was a close fight though and a round or two either way and I don't really think anyone can complain at that.

Definetly sets up a rematch, would be interesting to see how they would both approach it.

I had it 114-113 to Kovalev but can't really argue with the same score to Ward. A very close fight that was hard to score. Kovalev started very well and looked liked he was gonna bully Ward all night but he adjusted well and got the better of it in the second half of the fight. Between the three judges, two of them gave Ward all 6 rounds in the second half of the fight which I find hard to believe, thought the 10th was a clear Kovalev round and that would have made the difference. There is a rematch clause but won't hold my breath as we all know what a c*** Ward can be to deal with even if he is under contract to fight someone.

Rewatched it as I was on drugs first time round. 115-113 to Kovalev for me. Andre proved he's the better all round fighter but we knew that already. That was the sort of fight that needs the old 15 rounds.

Incredibly close fight, had Ward edging it as he adapted the better of the two. In a rematch I see Ward taking it more comfortably.

Any talk of GGG fighting Ward now makes me think Ward would lose that, what Kovalev lacked, GGG has.

Wouldn't ever happen though.

Bellew going up to heavyweight to get knocked out by Haye. Ridiculous fight, but I'll be watching it.
