The build up will be more entertaining than the fight probably. It makes sense for Bellew this fight, get paid a shit load of money and then move down and cash out your belt and retire with a nice big wedge in your bank account.

On a personal note this has fallen on a good day for me, it's my birthday so Fulham away and then onto the boxing at night.

This fight will involve some of the most manufactured 'beef' in years.

The the AJ/Hearn/Sky casual brigade will lap it up though, won't they, like the piss puddle licking mongrels they are.

It's getting gay listening to people talking about manufactured beef.

Putting aside the fact its all a hype vehicle, is there anyone who knows anything about boxing that genuinely thinks McGregor would get anywhere near Mayweather?

Wouldn't class myself as anything like an expert but I think most decent British level boxers would beat McGregor, Mayweather would win with ease in boxing.

No, of course he wouldn't. It won't happen, either.

In other news, it's good to see Chisora's anger management classes are going well...

His face would get very near to Mayweather's gloves very often, and then on Mayweather's gloves. No way would that fight happen. As mentioned, he'd struggle against British standard opponents.

Footwork, distance, tactics all totally different in boxing. He'd just look silly

Great boxers like Canelo and Cotto couldn't get near him, so the answer is a certain no. He wouldn't land a shot of note unless Mayweather started pissing about a bit. Would be interesting if he did go into boxing though, just to see what sort of level he is.

Well McGregor makes the whole of the UFC look silly with his striking skills. Depending on weight at British level he'd be taking on Bradley Skeete or Liam Williams and he'd be considerably smaller than both. McGregor is just a G though. From industrial plumber to having the UFC, WWE & boxing trying make hype off his name. It doesn't matter if he doesn't land a punch on Mayweather, he'd be laughing all the way to the bank.

Quality marathon this weekend. Parker v Ruiz, Chisora v Whyte, Burton v Buglioni, Yafai v Conception, Charlo v Williams, Cueller v Mares.

Didn't Conor have a half decent amateur pedigree in boxing? At the right weight I think he'd do ok, there's not much wrong with his technique at least.

Alejandro Gonzalez, the Mexican who put Frampton on his arse twice, has passed away having been murdered. 23. Shocking.

Just watched Joseph Parker win a close one over Ruiz to become WBO champ. He's got a decent jab but I don't think Parker punches hard enough to mix it with AJ, Wilder, Haye etc.

Parker must be on the radar for a fight with one of the big boys now then, really looking forward to tonight's card. Hoping that the Whyte/Chisora fight lives up to hype, Joshua will probably have it sewn up in 6 rounds.

Warren said a couple of days ago that Hughie Fury would be fighting the winner of Parker/Ruiz which is probably true considering his relationship with the WBO. Haye would've been before him but he's cashed out with the Bellew fight instead.

It's hard to see Hughie Fury living with either of them looking at his fight history, but you never know, I didn't give Tyson a prayer vs Klit..

The Joshua fight was very underwhelming Molina didn't even throw a punch, the main event of Del Boy and Whyte was bloody brilliant though. Chisora very unfortunate to lose, if his fitness was a bit better he'd have knocked Whyte out in my opinion.

Hughie is sick. You gotta look beyond fight history and concentrate on actual talent. Parker is probably the most difficult path to a world title now so if he wins he'll have earned it. Hughie beats both AJ & Wilder imo. Talent beats physicality.

Thought Chisora won, was pretty gutted he didn't get the decision. Whyte is such a c*** too which make it worse.

Buglioni sensational last round knockout. I had him one down going into the last so he'd have won on my card anyway but that's the way to win a fight.

Yafai world champ. Boxing back to Birmingham again with Eggington supporting.

Whyte is shit. Can't wait till he loses I only hope it happens before he gets the AJ rematch.

That's a big statement when he hasn't fought anyone yet. I've seen the guy fight and he seems to lack a lot of speed to me, and 50% KO rate against the cardboard cutouts he's fought doesn't bode well for his power either. I've seen Tyson say Hughie batters him in sparring, but you're never sure how true anything is that comes out of his mouth tbf. I'd like to see him fight an half decent guy before I can say he's any good. Jury is still out on AJ for me to be honest, he needs to fight someone like a Pulev

I can't see anyone beating AJ at the minute, the way Hearn has managed his fights is making him invincible. Just decided to fight WK after he's been out of the ring 18 months, last 2 performances have been poor and he's now 41 years old. Will be an easy nights work for AJ just hope the undercard is worth it. Let's hope David Haye can give him a fight soon.

Many guys beat AJ.

Hughie looks to have the fight with Parker, to take place within 120 days.
