Not sure how we haven't got anything out of that, sounds as if the goal was pretty much the only thing they did all game. C'est la vie.

Must beat Southport at home on Saturday, absolute must.

Think whatever coverage you were following made you sound better or us worse seemingly.

I thought overall we just about deserved that tonight. Thought we were in control for 70 minutes (one Doe slip aside where Justham made a very good 1v1 save). We didn't have shot after shot but I thought we played on our terms and Lincoln didn't do anything to trouble us. We got a bit leggy in the last 20 and Still noticed, hence his defensive substitute. Lincoln then went for it and were probably unlucky not to snatch an equaliser (especially with one terrible miss). I think most teams would have buckled but we had a steel and determination about us tonight.

On the balance of play, I'd say we just deserved it but a draw wouldn't have been unfair either. Lincoln have a good side there although I get the impression that they didn't play that well tonight. They'll certainly be up amongst the top 6 or 7. In fact, I'd be surprised if they don't make the play offs.

I did suggest quite strongly to you guys (might have been the other Wrexham supporters) when you signed him that he was crap. Won't get any better either.

I believed you but I remember there was a fan of ours on here who thought he was mustard based on a friendly match we played. The guy's legs have gone, he looked well past it tonight and was hooked early for the second game in a row.

Can't beat a last minute winner eh! That would have been a chorus of boos had it stayed 0-0, and can't really argue with that either.

Sad thing is I thought that was a lot better performance than the Dover match first game.

Kai Edwards was decent. Solid enough with three at the back. Barry was woeful and looked completely uninterested when subbed off.
Jordan White better be the non-league Zlatan because we are shite up front.

Also: amazing we managed over 4k on a Tuesday night

Thought Tilt looked good, the only real plus point for me tonight. I do think the 3 at the back suits us better because Carrington and Newton are both quite good on the ball and getting forward.

Gifted Ferriby two goals inside the 1st twenty minutes, the defending was so poor we might just as well have put them in ourselves. After that we absolutely roasted them for the rest of the game. Twenty seven decent chances were fluffed either wide or over the bar, four cleared off the line. We couldn't hit a barn door tonight.
If our defending doesn't improve very quickly we will be relegated this season and deservedly so.

Thought we didn't play too badly tonight, certainly no cause for concern just yet - we just need Margetts to finish his chances and Rheady/Wood to come back.

Dagenham looked OK, not too great but with a couple of class players in Doe and Gutteridge. I thought much the same of Cheltenham this time last season, so who knows.

Dagenham itself is a really friendly club, had a lengthy conversation with someone with several facial tattoos about Paul Benson.

Alan Power is just coming back from injury, so he was a bit shit tonight. Give him a week and he'll be back to his WORLDBEATING BEST

Southport
I thought Southport tried to play us in a game of passing football in the first half, and we completely dominated, and for once, were fairly clinical. However, as we continued to dominate into the second half, Southport started to go more direct with their enormous players! This worked better, and we struggled at times with the free kicks and corners that kept coming into the box. Eventually, they scored from a quick free kick, but it didn't really mean anything.

It was good that we had the chance to give a few players a rest towards the end and that it was a fairly comfortable win all in all. Southport were absolutely terrible at defending, but reasonable going forward. I think they'll struggle. As for us, I think we're going to have to be at our very best if we want to get something from Sutton on Saturday, although it's been a very positive start!

You're implying that we actually put some effort into something in the first half, which really isn't true! You're also being far to nice about our defending. First half we were awful, second half a bit better but you were in cruise control by the time we looked threatening.

2-1 definitely flattered Braintree

Still dunno how we didn't win by a lot more. With all the chances we created we could of easily scored 5 or 6. Other than the odd spell, overall Braintree really weren't great....expected more from them to be honest.

Must say i thought Akinola was very good though. By far their best player and the only one who seemed to create anything.

Decent outing that and a good goal earlyish from KMB that proved to be the winner. Bossed it for spells, Noble definitely a decent addition, but Woking were getting some joy with Caprice who i saw got their MotM. Only thing is we didn't really bother their keeper too much -one other one in the net but offside, couple from distance gathered easy and Tubbs one on one late straight at him. Woking managed some pressure late and in the five added but despite the usual scare here and there never looked too likely.
Hope Sinclair isn't too badly injured, pulled up first half with what seemed to be a groin strain.

Very professional performance tonight. Gulf in class between the two teams really showed. Woking are usually so dangerous down the wings, playing quick football, but if I'm honest, tonight they offered virtually nothing.

Our game plan worked quite nicely, kept control of the game, and never really looked like conceding.

Out of interest, does anyone on here know where to find match stats? So things like possession, shots on target ect? I'm struggling to find anything this year!

Alan Alger asked this to a guy on twitter who made loads of stats last season for the Conference
"anything from National League this season Ben? Or hampered by lack of data?"

The reply
"there isn't enough data now I'm afraid - there'll be some NL stuff (e.g. table permutations) but far less than for the EFL."

Seems like with the PA Live Scores going all the stats have as well.

Draw probably would have been a fairier reflection of our game tonight, but we conceded two howlers.....again. At least we fought back in the second half, hopefully Akintunde starts next time.

Barrow look poor value for the money spent, doubt they'll be troubling the top lot much.

Start preparing for life as a Football League fan. Aspin now has the financial clout behind him that he was never going to get at The Shay and will take you up as Champions this season.

They didn't look too special against us...

First 35 minutes last night Bromley couldn't live with us, our pass and move was sublime and resulted in two very well taken goals. When they realized they couldn't match our football they resorted to kicking us off the pitch and going very direct. For the last ten of the first half we took our foot off the pedal and got caught from a cross which Silva dispatched with ease right on the stroke of half time. They then upped the kicking and diving, and both our wingers had to go off injured. After 75mins once they'd booted Mensah off the pitch, the ref wouldn't let us make the sub because the 4th was still fannying around with the board, and they scored down that side whilst we were down to 10. Came away feeling aggrieved we'd dropped two points, but I have to say, Bromley are the dirtiest, cheating diving team I've seen down here since we got relegated.

Expected a defeat last night, but I've read comments that range from doing ok to pretty poor. Sounds as though with Rhead, we might have taken something.

The irony of Alan Power's final contribution to the match being booked just before he was subbed...

Mind you, he's not played since the PSF's so we did well to get that long out of him.

The goal you scored past us was a fluke in the last minute. Everyone knows it was a cross that went wrong a draw would of been a fair result.
The York pen tonight was never a pen in a million years either.

Also Brodie and Fenwick strike force dear me I spent all summer hoping we didn't either of them hopeless.

If we won 10 nil last night York could of still counted themselves lucky

A below par performance, a one goal defeat. Aspin's teams never lose one-sidedly. They took a few hits last season, but that wasn't Aspin's team. For ourselves, we only started to lose one-sidedly last season, after Aspin was sacked and we appointed that idiot Kelly. ("I can promise you that won't happen again", he said after losing his first game 7-1, leaving himself nowhere to hide when he lost his third match 7-0).

Gateshead & FC Halifax Town both going up as champions this time. :bdick::bdick::bdick:

1-0 full time. 12 points out of 12, 14 unbeaten away from home. Not getting carried away, but things are looking good.

Remember when we were three points clear at the top of League One in January and ended up finishing 11th? After that disaster I'm not sure I'd be able to get carried away until I turn up for the first game of next season and check there's a Football League badge on the players sleeves. Hopefully this run can continue though!

Newton and Carrington making and scoring our goal illustrates that point perfectly. I loved what I saw from Tilt too.

Barry was awful tonight, but coming off three minutes into the second half indicates that he's got some kind of injury going on there (quelle surprise). We were the better side in the second half, putting Solihull under heavy pressure for intermittent periods. Not great overall, but still had brief moments of decent play and deserved to win.

Keep an eye out for Jack Bowen up front and Shawn Richards on the wing. Either may come off the bench, though I doubt they will start. Both were two of our better players last season and it will be interesting to see how they fare two levels up.
Hi mate. Neither of those featured at all. They weren't even on the Subs bench
