Then when Sheridan took over, he made Banks into a very useful looking midfielder.

The ability is there to pick a ball up from 30 yards and ping it top corner, but it's incredibly few and far between, and his decision making etc is terrible. Plus he's not really got a position, he's not a winger and not resposible enough to play in the middle. His best position is probably behind the striker, so long as he's got 2 sitting midfielders in behind him, but that's a very specific and luxury position

Came through our youth academy and we've had him back on loan 2 times I think from Fulham while in league one. He suffered a horrific injury in his first loan spell and it's really ruined him as a player, really think he's lost whatever he had.

Nah, we're not skint but we're are no where near flush enough to start paying fees for people. A club like ours shouldn't be paying for fees for players anyway unless there was a cash injection from players sales or cup money.
