An example of how’s it’s different.

You’re right though, our pitch is nearly as leaky as your defence.

I'm sure Mr Radford can sort that out after the 4th side to your ground is built, and the hotel or course. Oh and the Padel courts.

Would be really useful in League One to have a complete stadium. What did you think of the Notts performance today?

Fair play to Nigel and his whiteboard of motivational cliches, we look like a team all of a sudden. Deserved to win that - Newport edged the first half, but we dominated the second and their only plan was to waste time. Low-key bedlam when Jennings popped up for the winner.

I think you will get three. If we can give them a tough game it should be easy for Alex.

Well our defence has been diabolical for most of the season so it’s only fair that our much vaunted attack joined in the fun today. No idea what Williams was playing at with those substitutions, Dan Gosling and Jim O’Brien please retire.

Piss fucking poor all round.

But did you all still have lots of ‘fun’ though?

That was fun, I didn't expect that at all. Ali Al-Hamadi increasing his price tag with every match.

Hopefully the intrepid souls sleeping at the ground tonight for charity will be buoyed by that.

Fair play Walsall, fully deserved win, you were energetic and heads didn't drop when you went a goal down.
We were abject. Slow, no energy, created very little and although defending was nothing like Shrewsbury dire, we still look a million miles away from keeping a clean sheet.
Can't wait for the window to open because we just don't have the players to sustain anything like a promotion push with what we've got.
We need, not want but need a keeper, centre half, one if not two centre midfielders who are in their mid 20's, not thirty something crocks just to keep us competitive otherwise we are weak enough to tumble down the league, never mind playoffs.

You're miffed? I was at Watford Gap services when the announcement was made. It's a bloody long way back up the M1.

I live in Wales and left home at 6am. So I was a lot closer to Sutton and as a public transport user I had to wait a lot longer before turning back home

Did I see that you went to watch Tooting & Mitcham? No love for them despite being my nearest team but it's sad seeing them in the Combined Counties.

Bet Wrexham are secretly relieved today was off. We're a wounded animal right now and they wouldn't have fancied facing our backlash. We'd probably have won at least 3-0 or something.

We were really poor today. Didn't fancy it across the pitch and Walsall did, and they've got enough quality across the pitch to make us pay. Not sure if it was related to being (rightfully) laughed at for last week's mistakes but we weren't brave on the ball, and resorted to a lot of long ball that wasn't working.

Equally as others have said, a Gosling-O'Brien midfield partnership is genuinely awful, immobile and good enough on the ball to make up for it. Austin is not a central midfielder in that system but still looks a distance clear.

I did end up at Imperial Fields. Not a bad game. I’ve got of a bit of a soft spot for Tooting & Mitcham. But they lost.

Our second away win....we must like pastures East. Our other was against Grimsby.

Would have liked to have kept a clean sheet but 97th minute goal kick resulting in a free run in goal put paid to that :ffs:

Decided to miss this as it was so much more fun to be dragged Xmas shopping.:bl: . Dear lord I deserve a big present for that!

Saw the highlights. We're all quick to criticise refs so we should praise when it's due. Our penalty. Clear foul but the ball run through to our player who scored. Lino sticks his flag up for offside so the ref gives the pen. It all happened quickly but we'll done.

Casey

Edit: jyst watched the after game manager interview and Lindsey is taking full blame for their goal. Seems he shouted to Maguire to leave it believing it would run through to the keeper. Said he will be playing the clean sheet bonus.

Think we may have dodged a bullet getting rid of Ethrington last Christmas - what a poor side Colchester are - we are still giving goals away they style we are playing but we are improving with each game played - Mansfield next Saturday is going to be interesting and a real test of the tea.

We have a similar charity event at ours tonight, don't envy them at all given the storm conditions and 70mph winds we've had today. But it's all to help people that have to endure the same night after night.

Been on the piss since 8 AM. Grimsby were top class today. Artell revolution is here to stay. Crewe have got some good boys. Enjoyed the train journey back to Doncaster with some of them. Plenty of vodka and cola imbibed on the way back. Proper enthused with Conteh and Hunt today. Proper ballers. You can stick your Old Trafford up your arse. Not been to bed for 48 hours now.
It was all down to Boris.

Worst performance of the season, as bad as Mansfield but the consolation there at least was that Mansfield are a good side. Walsall looked pretty average in all aspects but credit to them for taking their chances.

The defence was largely fine today (defensively, some of the distribution was woeful), we just miss Matty Palmer, Walsall went man for man and we had nothing in midfield. Austin was utterly abysmal, Bostock off it a bit and Gosling and O’Brien came off the bench and were genuinely an abomination. None of them can do the Palmer role of just being always available, laying the ball off etc… and keeping everything moving - kind of the key valve of the team.

Having said all that, never been more convinced in my life that our fanbase don’t deserve anything nice, some real growing melodrama in the stands given where we are and where we were 18 months ago. We’re clearly not good enough to compete at the top but we knew depth was an issue all along, so it’s hardly surprising we’ve dropped off since losing players.

Big few weeks for Williams, he either blindly hunkers down and we probably get no better and then bring 2-3 players in January or he installs a short-term pragmatism until we get reinforcements and can properly play ‘his style’.

What a pathetic excuse for a football team. Offered absolutely nothing. Wimbledon weren’t that great - they didn’t have to be to beat our shower of shit. Fucked off with the owner, manager and players.

Just fuck the fuck off - the lot of them.

On another forum you’ve indicated that you didn’t go to the match but we’re on the piss in Bath unless I’ve mistaken you for someone else. If that’s the case how do you know we offered absolutely nothing?

We tried playing through the middle, but that led to your first goal. The pitch was atrocious, you can't play football on that kind of surface. We also suffered from having 1 fit midfielder who could start and he can't pass a football. So we had to abandon trying what we normally do and do what we did in the 2nd half.
Bell has lost his head there if trying to play through the middle when he has no available midfielders is his actual plan.

The pitch was indeed atrocious, but we managed to play football on it. Think you nailed it in your first post in that we were just more up for it than you. Seems I was right about the Artell factor not really being something that would have been a motivating factor for your players.

Agree with Reg's assessment of Rovers v Newport. Poor first half after a bright start from us, much better second half. Kieron Morris got sponsor's MoM can see why, with his goal and all round game. However Brad Walker finally close to full fitness, spraying passes around from the middle and much more like the player Vale fans told us we'd bought, along with Connor Wood who had a sound game at left-back and provided the assist for Morris' leveller both played well.
