Anyone from here heading to the rearranged game tomorrow at our place after the floods the other week?

That's clever management from Kinnear then. He obviously realised Lincoln have inferior players technically to us who if you press them will lose the ball, whereas with us we'd have played out of it and picked you off at will. Can't press a team with as much skill as us the way you can the likes of Linoln or Barrow.

Changed his game plan/tactics to suit the calibre of opposition.

looks like the Dover boss watched the highlights of the of Lincoln v Barrow from the previous weekend as that's what we did - closed them down and limited them to about 4 shots all game - and had central defenders with huge pockets to keep Rhead in.... Barrow have changed tactics since the 1st 3 away games - now we've just decided to out battle and out score the opposition

Lincoln were poor because we didn't let them play. We knocked the ball about on the ground a fair bit yesterday and dominated the game - Lincoln didn't have a shot until 81 mins in. Nothing to do with rose tinted specs, all is well at the club. We have a good squad in good form, a nice new stand and better than we were this stage last season. We were not okay on Saturday, we were fantastic. Lincoln are no mugs.

You could say "we were okay, they were just crap" after almost every win. There was a reason they couldn't get the ball out of their half and it wasn't because they're crap, because they're not.

If you're going to come away from arguably the most complete team performance of the season so far and 3 points against title contenders saying we were okay then when are you ever going to be satisfied?

As for the "has Kinnear taken us as far as he can", our league position has improved every year since he took charge and is on course to do so again. Unbelievable.

:ffs::crazy:

I particularly love the bit about having a good squad!

You're definitely TSE there can't be two equally hilarious Dover supporters.

Look lets leave the verdict up to Lincoln supporters shall we (who I assume will all agree we thoroughly deserved the victory) and ask them if they thought they were crap on the day and or if it was a case as you suggest of us being fantastic and not letting them play with our pass and move football?
As for CK and has he taken us as far as he can, why are you still harping on about it, I never mentioned it, you did. I too think such an idea is equally absurd, and lastly to reiterate again (and for the last time) of course I was satisfied Saturday, it was a tremendous three points, but just to save time I have already started writing my 1000 lines of "I must never think we played okay" in case it upsets the TSE........bless you

PS: Please don't mistake the style of football you suggest we played for the combined effort we put in, the two in nearly all our matches are far removed from each other at times as is possible, and yes in effort we were beyond reproach

Should be a good game on Saturday then. We play it out from the back so it will be interesting to see if you can press us and force mistakes. We'll need to move the ball quicker then we have been recently, as thats the way to beat teams who try and get in your faces.

Tomorrow night could be the first time we don't need to open up the away terrace for you guys and just put u all in the seats. Between it being on a Tuesday to start with, then the shit weather and now Gary Mills, we'll be well below the budgeted away takings we could normally expect from hosting Wrexham.

Lincoln supporters are obviously going to say they were shite, because they were. If we weren't so good they wouldn't have been as shite, that's how football works.

By all means think what you want but if you think that performance was "okay" then you're never going to be satisfied leaving Crabble because that's as good as I've seen us play under Kinnear style wise and results wise it's about as good as it gets for us.

And I'm not TSE, although often he seems to be the voice of reason on a pretty miserable forum

I really don't know why we are arguing on the same issue. For fucks sake, opinions not only make the world go around but also help make football what it is. My opinion differs from you on Saturday, but no big deal, I love Dover, we rarely miss a game home or away, but where we most certainly differ is on the issue of realism and managed expectations. So lets just agree to hope that we win many more games, and am sure we will.
But what is scary is if you think for a nano second that TSE is ever the VOR................oh my God!

Yes, I would agree that you need a dose of realism and to manage your expectations.

if it remains that way then the "Welsh inbred cousins of Chester fans" could be looking for a new manager too ;- Brabin's available for you ;) Mills can then go to York - and Tranny will still be looking...

He must be a goner now? Not helped by the budget cut etc though.

Mostly not helped by him shitting himself last Christmas when we had poor form and trying to reinvent himself as a defensive minded coach, which I don't think he knows how to do, then get rid of the whole squad and replace them with people like Bakare.

Jalal and Tilt look decent. Newton is OK and Rutherford tries hard. The rest of the team are largely awful.

That's the problem isn't it. I can't see anyone drastically improving the team this season as they are all mostly just poor players.

Thank god they're all on one year deals Looks already like just seeing the season through without anything worse...! And starting fresh next season, once again.

Lets hope someone comes in who can utilise the decent keeper and back four. Galvanise the players we have who have ability (I've got slim hopes about Rooney, Harvey and Jordan Evans) Move on people like Barry, Bakare and Nortey and replace them with a midfielder leader and a forward.

And maybe Jordan White will return from illness and be some sort of Superman.
