Another classic case of the 'unpopular' part-timers getting reffed out by the National League.

Or possibly reffed out of the National League altogether in your case.

We've not had a penalty, clear evidence of reffing out the tin potters :animatedf: :dk:
Or perhaps we've not spent nearly enough time in the oppositions box

Sounds like we're going to appeal Nathan Ralph's red card from yesterday. Another classic case of the 'unpopular' part-timers getting reffed out by the National League.

Yes that 92nd minute decision made all the difference to the scoreline..... You were deffo refereed out!

It made no difference to the score line. The sending off will make a difference, however, if Ralph is suspended for Eastleigh because we have no one else that can play on the left.

Don't have to be in the box, just somewhere near it. Just ask Lincoln.
Not our fault the refs dont know where the edge of area is and give us penalties, not like Parkin ever dived to win a penalty or two eh???....

That will hurt us as much as woking mate. Im a massive believer in that anyone sent off during the first half of the season should serve his suspension in the return fixture. Eastleigh are being rewarded fir no reason

I'd have thought under current guidance,as there was a genuine, if clumsy, attempt to get the ball, an appeal would succeed.
It looked like the classic last-man tackle-from-behind red card to me. I'd be very surprised if the appeal succeeded.

Parkin? Diving? Don't be ridiculous. Would have needed a crane to get him back vertical again.

That Woking red card has a decent chance of being rescinded.

A challenge resulting from a genuine attempt to play the ball which results in a penalty is now a yellow card, unless the foul is one which would have attracted a red card elsewhere on the pitch.

Fair enough, I didn't know the rules had changed.

You sound like a Dover Forum contributor my friend !

Unbelievable-beggars belief. What is, why, simply because you say so. You're not "thestreetentertainer" in disguise are you?

I have never complained about what was a great result, simply pointed out that Lincoln on the day were poor (please argue that one out) and though we thoroughly deserved the win, to me, effort out of the equation because it is a trait for all CK teams and is rarely questioned, we just played okay. If that means my comments beggar belief, then so be it. Some may argue if you play okay and still win against one of the league favourites it actually augurs well. Not you though apparently

Oh by the way, whilst as a whites fan I read it, I don't go on the Dover Forum at all, well not for years anyway, simply because there are too many sycophants on there who just for stepping away from the status quo will bombard you with how everything in the Garden is Rosy, so no I wasn't, the 'nutjob' you refer to.
However, I really do think you should take off you rose tinted specs and read other posts properly when doing so, because regardless of the asylum he sneaked out is, all he was doing if memory serves was asking the question "Has Kinnear taken us as far as he can?" and did so, unlike yesterday when we played okay worked our balls off and got a great result, we had been beaten by D&R which 'WAS' one of the most pitiful displays in years...ooops shit. I can't say that can I?
Lincoln were poor because we didn't let them play. We knocked the ball about on the ground a fair bit yesterday and dominated the game - Lincoln didn't have a shot until 81 mins in. Nothing to do with rose tinted specs, all is well at the club. We have a good squad in good form, a nice new stand and better than we were this stage last season. We were not okay on Saturday, we were fantastic. Lincoln are no mugs.

You could say "we were okay, they were just crap" after almost every win. There was a reason they couldn't get the ball out of their half and it wasn't because they're crap, because they're not.

If you're going to come away from arguably the most complete team performance of the season so far and 3 points against title contenders saying we were okay then when are you ever going to be satisfied?

As for the "has Kinnear taken us as far as he can", our league position has improved every year since he took charge and is on course to do so again. Unbelievable.

One of their directors, said we were the best team we have played all season, the way that we closed them down and pressured them all game , very complimentary from the Lincoln Board

Understandable when fans don't know the rules have changed, but a bit disturbing when referees don't seem to know either.

That all depends on whether the referee thought the tried to play the ball or not. If he decided the latter, then the punishment was spot on. It's very hard to tell either way from the replay.

Talking of refereeing decisions, this one from Saturday was very poor. How is this not a pen?

To cap it off Mr Treleaven then decided to give them a soft one second half. Not his best game.

That was what impressed me the most. Whenever Lincoln picked up the ball they were hounded down by our attackers and midfield, the polar opposite of what we did against Forest Green. Maybe Cowley over analysed our games, was convinced that we would be man marking across the pitch and put too much effort into trying to stop Miller.

The Lincoln defence seemed intent on trying to play from the back, which was bizarre because they got closed down often by our attack and when they did play the ball out somebody would eventually lump it to Rhead anyway.
I don't doubt that Lincoln are a better side than what we saw Saturday but take nothing away from Dover, we were immense.

That's clever management from Kinnear then. He obviously realised Lincoln have inferior players technically to us who if you press them will lose the ball, whereas with us we'd have played out of it and picked you off at will. Can't press a team with as much skill as us the way you can the likes of Linoln or Barrow.

Changed his game plan/tactics to suit the calibre of opposition.

On paper you probably should be. With a half decent manager you probably would be.
On paper, I think we're 3 or 4 players off to be honest.

Sounds as though you did to us what we've been doing to others this season (well, bar the last 3 games), and we've seemingly decided to throw a working game plan out of the window.
