Reasonable point on the road for us considering our away record. Four unbeaten and four clean sheets on the bounce now so we’ll take it.

It’ll take some doing to find a more boring match this season though.

Well that's nice, I wake up to 3 points on the road to get back in the top half, and hopefully being proven wrong about Odubade, all is well.

Well in Daggers. 27 points for a newly assembled side, most of whom have played far below this level is bloody brilliant.

Going to enjoy this whilst it lasts!

Two mid table sides who didn't want to run the risk of losing. Draw the correct result

beat York 2-0, scrappy 1st half spoiled by the wind - 2nd half much better;-
Danny Livesey header from a Jordan Williams corner and an own goal after Williams terrorised the sub full back.
It has to be said that York were very poor - apart from Clovis Kamjo (or however you spell it)
nice easy :err: match away at Forrest Gump next week...

Lincoln crumbling now and it's not even November yet. Torquay's off-pitch problems beginning to have an effect on it. Jackie McNamara must surely be gone at York now. Signs of life at Southport. Barrow going along nicely albeit have only played four of the top 10 in 12 games.

First away win, first time we've held a lead for longer than 10 minutes, and first clean sheet of the season. Add the beer festival right by the ground, and for once life is sweet.

Lincoln were terrible but we were outstanding. Defending from the front all game, Lafferty, Miller, Moore and Grimes were huge.

Lincoln had their first shot after 81 minutes and barely threatened at all.

Piss poor from Raggett not to even acknowledge the river end applauding him off too

yeah - not looking good for McNamara - or Mills at Wrexham.... half expecting Mills to end up at York
after next weekend we'll have played Tranmere, Lincoln, Dover and Forest Green away from home - so quite happy with things so far....

Well, that was easier than expected. From the moment Allen put us ahead with a really good finish the result wasn't really in doubt. 16 points out of 18 and only 1 goal conceded at home and the Rec is once again a Fortress!

Do players usually acknowledge the crowd when they're going off injured (or in Raggett's case, flattened by our own player (concussion?))?

Great win away at Nicky Clee today.

One of them Saturday's that winning does nothing for your position in the league, but a loss would see you tumble loads of places. A win against Wrexham on tues night would leave the table looking even better.

Yeah my main concern for FGR is that between the last game of Sept and the second game of Dec, we play every other team currently in the top 9 back to back (except Barrow who we play next week).
Daggers, Macclesfield, Lincoln, Tranmere, Aldershot, Eastleigh, Dover (plus Wrexham away in there somewhere).
Very tough run that will decide our season quite early I think.

Back on the road, back in the win column. Game shouldn't have been that close honestly.

We seem to be doing a lot better away than at home, perhaps its time we rip up the 3G and install grass ;)

But... but... then we'd lose our home advantage!

Let's just play all our games on the road and rent out the Gallagher to make money 24/7/365.

If that's the case, then damn right I will.

I do think we could potentially just be a little bit short depth wise. However, I've been so impressed with the additions Still has made.

Corey Whiteley is one hell of a player. How on earth he's been playing at Ryman Premier, goodness knows. Considering we had the likes of Ashley Chambers playing for us last season (and is still a Football League player somehow), Whiteley would more than hold his own at that level.

And then we have Jordan Maguire Drew who at 18 and on loan from Brighton, reminds me very much of Matt Ritchie. He'll go on to play Championship minimum in my opinion.

Have no recollection of leaving the pitch after being knocked out today, appreciate the fans giving me the reception they did and would..

..have appreciated and responded to it if I wasn't completely out of it

Got knocked out at Tranmere as well but was able to carry on.

Fair enough, all he had to say :)

If his concussion was bad enough to have memory loss for the 5 minutes after regaining consciousness then he should be out for a few weeks I presume?

2-1 win at Guiseley, although more comfortable than it looks from the scoreline. Not a great game, all three goals were defensively shambolic, but at least we won. Beat Wrexham on Tuesday and we'll be third.

Not great, but we got the job done. First half we knocked the ball about and dominated possession without doing enough with it, KMB's goal was someone finally having a shot and athough it wasn't a great hit, it went in. Bit poor from their keeper really.

Second half was a bit of a clusterfuck from us tbh, completely lost our way and Braintree should have got something. Lucky we've got Super Sammy Russell, saved a pen and made a few other vital stops. A lot of Braintree's shooting was shite, but that Akinola is a cracking player and yet again we couldn't handle him. If they keep him they could stay up. Ref was poor again, wanted to be the centre of attention, booking a few of ours for nothing and missed a blatant foul in the box on Elliott Frear first half.

Looked about 50 or 60 from us, Braintree a decent club always like going there. Hope they turn it round.

Not how I saw it at all. Even at 2-0 we were conceding Gateshead chances and two free headers could, and should have been put away. We were far too sloppy at the back, how many corners did were concede second half, 10-12 at least? Along with the chances we gave away first half including the glaring 1 on 1 York bottled, Gateshead were unlucky not to get something from the game. Iffy's goal was sublime, granted, but the penalty was a gift because McClure was going nowhere and the defender didn't need to make the challenge and the third was a break when they pushed everyone up.

For what it's worth, I though Gateshead were the best side we've played so far, strong, well organised, but lacking a finisher. I do wonder just how good a side they would be with Bowman still there, I'm betting if he had played today we wouldn't have won 3-0.

As a club, I don't think we're too BBB all things considered, but Garry Hill has still taken a stab at us 'thinking we have a divine right to be in the football league' in his post-game interview. Smacks of real sour grapes, what an arsehole. Thanks for the 3 points, Garry. :2thumb:

Was hoping someone would pick up on that.

Lord Hill at it again! Start reeling. :fl:
